I tried this topic up in global but it got locked. Apparently it was ooc and not going anywhere. To help it move along I'm restarting it sans mean nasty things said here in the OOC section of the Open Worlds Forum.

How are Fascists and Commies all that different?

They both have lame-o propaganda.

If you look carefully you will note that both Mao and Bush are waving at their subjects. Mao is on top of a tank that is riding over the bodies of his peasants to grease the treads and Bush is waving to the League of Midget Voters.




Both spew out unworkable ideology that as far as I can tell really doesn't seem all that different. In the end private ownership gets jacked over to serve the needs of a few fat cat politicians.

Both have proven time again in history that they are equally capable of engineering bloodbaths.

Stalin and his purges..
Hitler and his death camps...

Mao's cultural revolution...
Peron's re-education camps...

Both groups are proven notorious liars...

In fact I'm tempted to suggest that as far as historical atrocities tend to go the commies seem to be in the lead body count wise. It was pretty mind numbing standing in front of the granite obelisk that marks the site of one of the larger killing fields in Cambodia and having a whole lot of admiration for communist revolutions in any form. Likewise listening to stories from my grandfather about liberating concentration camps during world war 2 doesn't invite much in the way of respect for those who wish to idealize fascism.

The more I think about it the more I come to believe that the real solution here on planet bob is the systematic extermination of fascists and commies.

Let them kill each other off and then us money loving greedy capitalists swoop and and steal their tech and land.

And whilst I doubt many people still have some love for bush calling him a fascist doesn´t work either.
