[Chairman Stau]

Shijing- Chairman Stau announced that Staufferia has opened it's first university. This university will be in the capital, Shijing. Below is the dedication speech given by the Chairman:


Good afternoon my fellow Staufferians. Today is an important day in the young history of the great nation of Staufferia! Today we have proven to the world that a lack of political freedom will not interfere with one's desire for higher learning! This university that we dedicate today is a symbol of my commitment to the well-being of every Staufferian citizen. Through various cultural and political reforms, Staufferia has grown into a nation whose power is far greater than it's size!

It is my promise as your leader that everybody who desires a college education in this nation will be able to have one without having to worry about how to afford one. However, as we know, Staufferia has a booming economy and tuition costs would be nothing to worry about. I do understand, though, that there are some poor in Staufferia and I feel it's important to make sure the poor are taken care of. We will have a sliding scale for financial aid for students ranging from 0% of tuition costs paid for the rich, to 100% of tuition costs paid for the poor. Every one in this nation who desires an education will have one!

Now, before I dedicate this school, I'd like to introduce you to the President of Shijing University and Secretary of Education, General Li Kedong. Please stand General Li!

On behalf of the General, the newly formed Department of Education, and the citizens of Staufferia; this date of the 13th Day of May, 2004 at 12:25 PM, I dedicate Shijing University! May we move out of the dark; may the light of Mao shine upon us!

The University will open for students for the first time in the Fall semester of the 2008-2009 school year.
