As you may or may not know, the Welsh Government has had a few disruptions this week epsecially in The World Conference. ITS conference.The Empire has appologised for this and now would like to clarify what went wrong and what the reasons are, there are huge problems facing the empire in the coming days and weeks. We finally have the most shocking news to come out of the Empire....

Katherine Jones Claims to be queen !




It was announced earlier at an official press conference, she said that recently her mum passed away and in her will she left her a note that read 'you are queen of this land, the rightful ruler, I had a one night stand with his Royal Highness King Gareth. You must restore the crown to where it belongs'. She imediately went to e-bay where she found some of the kings hair for sale, she did a DNA check and YES she is the former King's daughter.

She has asked the Government if she can take the throne in the place of her father, who was dethroned after being declared mentally unstable !

But the government had this to say at a press conference earlier...

The Government of The Welsh Empire is a Federal Republic, we are no longer a parliamentry democracy. so it does not matter who she claims to be. She will NOT take the throne because there is no throne to take. She's free to stand in the next election however *S!@#$%*s and walks off *

Our political analyst is on the case...

it looks very uncertain what will happen next. I can't see the government backing down very soon BUT the only reason the public agreed to getting rid of the monarchy is because of there being noone else. So how will the public take it ? who's side will they be on ? it'll be very intereesting to watch.

People from all parts of the Empire took part in peacful protests and marches, to show their support for Miss Catherine Jones. For now it's peacefull, but we'll just hope it stays that way.

In London however, many many thousands of people turned up, it's lucky that it didn't turn violent or the small ammount of police there would not have been able to cope.


In Paris the Scene was much the same too !

The Propaganda that the 'queen' has put forward MUST stop immediately ! This government was democratically elected it does not matter who you claim to be the daughter of. President Jacqui Smith has said that ALL people who refuse to pay taxes WILL be arrested. And then they will have to pay 100 % interest for every day they refuse to pay the taxes. This Government will Not be undermined by one silly girl.

Perhaps a constitutional monarchy system could be arranged with the Queen having a figurehead position and the Government continuing business as usual.

Our system of a Constitutional Merito-democratic Imperium has provided us with a stable government for years with the vestiges of the old Imperial system being largely ceremonial.

Filitonia will not hold any stance on the issue until Miss Jones can please give this 'hair' to an authentic laboratory for professional forensic testing to confirm this hair found on a website supplied by God-knows-who is actually her father's.

We would be happy to provide our genetics research facility to perform a paternity test between the claimant and the late king.
We will require samples of genetic material from the late king, (there should be some in the medical records department of the last hospitals he was in) and a blood sample from Catherine Jones for comparison.

I recommend that at least 2 other genetics labs be used to independently test the samples to ensure a valid result is obtained.

This should help to clear any doubt from the issue.

We will also need to inspect a family tree of Catherine Jones to ensure the legitimacy of her birth before we can support her claim.
