Preamble
In light of the friendship these two alliances have created, Rok and AE, along with their respective member nations, wish to pledge that in times of war they will stand together to ensure their mutual defense.
Article I
Rok and AE pledge that under no circumstances will one party engage in military actions or espionage against the other. Additionally, no military or financial aid may be given to an enemy of either party or any entity engaging in hostile actions towards either party by the other.
Article II
Should either signatory experience either aggressive military actions or espionage from a foreign third party, the other agrees to assist in the defense of the assailed through all available avenues. Further, both parties are required to share any information one may receive regarding the national security of either. Unless the assailed specifically requests that their treaty partner stand down, this pledge to defend one another is obligatory and binding.
Article III
When a signatory declares a state of war with a third foreign entity the other may assist in whatever form of action they deem necessary, be it through military action, financial aid, or political support. Such assistance is neither obligatory nor binding, and does not in any way affect the standing of the treaty.
Article IV
Both Rok and AE strongly encourage their member nations to engage with and cooperate with one another with regard to development and need. Financial aid may be requested of one another in times of demonstrated need, but the fulfillments of such requests are not obligatory nor binding.
Article V
This treaty will come into effect once the governments of both Rok and AE have ratified it and remain so indefinitely. Should either party desire to terminate this treaty at any time, they must deliver a notice of cancellation to the other party. The treaty will remain in effect for forty-eight (48) hours following the delivery of the notice of cancellation, at which time it will be terminated.
