Mutual Defense Optional Aggression Pact
between
Nueva Vida and Democratic States of Cybernations

Friendship and Respect
Both alliances agree to be respectful on the boards, in IRC, or at any time when they are in contact with each other. They also agree that they will help stand up for the other alliance if they come under verbal attack on either alliances IRC, this must be maintained for the duration of the agreement.

Non-Aggression
Both alliances agree to at no point to attack the other. In the event that a member of either alliance attacks the other then the attacked alliance is required to inform the other through diplomatic means. They also are required not to declare war on the attacked alliance until the other is informed and a decision is made.
The alliance that member attacked is required to pay reparations of 100% to the to the attacked nation. In the event that one alliance refuses to have the nation pay reparations and stop attacking it is a ground for the immediate cancellation of this treaty.

Defense and Optional Aggression
if either of the undersigned finds itself attacked by a foreign power, the opposite signatory to this agreement is required to come in full force by the side of their ally, without exception. The attacked signatory of this agreement maintains the right to waive assistance

Should Either alliance find itself preparing for war 48 hours of notice shall be given to the other signatory for any request of assistance be it militarily or financial. Either signatory has the right to decline said request but is highly encouraged to accept the request if the reasoning and justification in the cassus belli is deemed as legitimate reason for war. Legitimacy is determined by the two signatories and no one else.

Expiration
This treaty is for the duration of the tech deal between our respective alliances, However, in the event that one alliance wishes to cancel this treaty then they must inform the other of their intentions. They then must wait 72 hours to announce the cancellation on the boards at which point it will remain in effect for 48 hours at which point, all relations between our alliances will be broken.

As for chinatownbus's question -> We did not drop the IAA protectorate, so according to your words, we are "dually protected". Guess that's the best way to be, anyways.

I would like to thank Nueva Vida for signing this with us, and for providing us with great tech deals for my members. The ones that are taking part have nothing but praise for it! It makes me very happy that someone cares enough for us to offer us protection as well as a great way for my new members to make money. I have nothing but thanks for you.
