Protectorate Agreement Between Knights of the Imperial Cross and the United Maroon Forces.


The undersigned representatives of Knights of the Imperial Cross and The Unified Maroon Forces agree that in all circumstances not outlined specifically in Article 4 that KIX and UMF will abide by the following pact as outlined in the following articles.

Article 1 Mutual Respect and Communication

1.1 KIX and UMF members will always act in a respectful and dignified manner towards one another.
1.1.1 This will prohibit flaming and flamebaiting in all public communications areas.
1.1.2 This will not prohibit healthy debate or productive disagreement.
1.1.3 UMF will abide by Maroon Pride a KIX Law.

1.2 KIX and UMF shall be responsible for alerting one another to alliances/nations disliked on the ZI list of the opposite alliance.
1.2.1 In the event that either alliance is pursuing a relationship/membership with anyone on said lists, the alliances will work together to come to a mutually beneficial arrangement.

1.3 If Article 1 is infringed upon, alliance leadership is expected to alert the other alliance's leadership of the offending party and what was said.


Article 2 - Espionage

2.1 KIX and UMF shall not engage in espionage or aid in espionage against the other alliance.
2.1.1 This includes both in game spying and spying conducted in private communications channels, including, but not limited to, forums and IRC channels.

2.2 If espionage is expected by an outside party, alliance leaders are expected to alert one another.

2.3 If Article 2 is infringed upon, alliance leadership is expected to alert the other alliance's leadership of the offending party and what was said.


Article 3 - Military and Financial Aid

3.1 KIX commits itself to the defense of UMF through direct military action as well as financial and political means.

3.2 UMF recognizes that KIX is unlikely to ever require assistance from UMF.
3.2.1 In the event where it is required, UMF will come to the defense of KIX.

3.3 UMF may request that KIX not provide assistance should the situation require that they do so.


Article 4 - Cancellation

4.1 Cancellation of this agreement requires a minimum of seventy-two (72) hours notice.
4.1.2 Abandonment of the agreement will result in the abandoning alliance being declared a rogue alliance.

4.2 This agreement may be canceled at a point in time at which UMF no longer requires the protection provided by KIX in Article 3.
4.2.1 At this point in time, if desired, KIX and UMF leadership may agree to upgrade this protectorate to an MDP.
