We are honoring our treaty as a protectorate of the MCXA. By doing so we, the alliance Pyramid, declare war on the Commonwealth of Sovereign Nations in defense of the MCXA and her allies.

o/ MCXA :)

Why do people get so upset about 'bandwaggoning'. Should they not honour their treaty with their friends and allies? Yeh, cause that is an even better idea.

o/ At least you have the guts to follow through what you signed.

Sounds silly, but plenty of alliances just wouldn't have bothered to make any announcement.

Should they ever get in trouble, this could be the thing to save them :awesome:

No, the best defense is a good defense. If your defense falls apart, it won't matter that you have an offense. <--- Unrelated

Better to post a declaration and honor a treaty than not to :)

It just so happens they are on the dominant side. At least they followed through with their treaty. Even if no help is needed it shows honor, loyalty, and commitment.

Not to ruin their fun, but what exactly are they honoring? Their protectorate agreement?

I don't have anything against them jumping in, but call it what it is. They are just dogpiling so they can go to war and post a DoW on the OWF ... it's not really about honor, loyalty, or commitment.

Point taken :)
Although if the offense is successful in reducing the enemy's military capability, there wont be any need for a defense, as the enemy cannot attack, no?

Honoring our protectorate agreement, yes.

Look at the OP, we said honor the protectorate, and thats what we called it.

Then your protectorate is a MADP? Forgive me if that's the case because I have never read it, but usually protectorates aren't required to go on the offensive.

Again, it's fine to do so. When Ragnarok hit the Illuminati we allowed our protectorate LAN have some targets after the initial strike too. But it wasn't because they were honoring a treaty with us or because they were doing anything to really help RoK ... it was just so they could get war practice.
