Nothing like an aging sports commentator to instill a sense of accomplishment in a high school graduating class.

Dan Marino is the ex-quarterback of the Miami Dolphins that led the Dolphins to win the first perfect season in the NFL.

College, actually. He's an alumni of my school.

Uhh, IIRC, Marino retired without ever winning a super bowl.

Orson Scott Card spoke at my HS graduation. He kept us out in the burning summer sun for what seemed like forever with those thick graduation uniforms on, talking about anything and everything while we wilted. I still think he's a cool guy though.

He might not have won a Super Bowl, or was part of the perfect season, but he's the best quarterback the dolphins ever had. We've been trying to replace him for 10 years now.

His oldest son was in my class in High School. Funny guy. Doesn't play football.

My Uni has Sandra Day O'Connor speaking this year at graduation.

We had a player from the Sask Roughriders come to our school to speak about literacy. For our grad we are probably going to end up with one of our techers that is retiring (Best Vice Principal ever, he seems to have a nose for when people are getting a late slip, he will suddenly pop his head out of the gym door to see who it is)

Actually, that'd be Bob Griese.

Harry Reid's a lot like that.

For those who care, Reid's the Senate Majority Leader.

Typical. Sports are overvalued in America.
