From Cybernations.net

"There is also an additional economic penalty on top of the population happiness penalty if your nation is in peace mode for more than 5 days. A nation in peace mode may not send foreign aid, however it will be allowed to continue to receive foreign aid. In order to exit peace mode nations are required to collect taxes on the day that they wish to change out of peace mode."

The bold part, does it really work? I tried that and it did not switch though I know about the waiting also to switch but I was wondering about that part.

That's right, the bold part I mean.

you actually have to go edit it yourself though. Collect taxes, then go to Edit my nation.

Yeah but it says the same thing, "You recently changed your war/peace preference on 2/3/2008 and must wait until 2/8/2008 before you can change it again.".
