On this day, 4 years ago, a roadside IED exploded in Iskandaria, Iraq, killing my best friend Seth Dvorin. I think about him constantly, as I try to live my life to the standards that he held me to. Seth, the ultimate optimist, always looked at the bright side and refused to succumb the hardships that life can bring about.
With each passing year, this day doesn’t get any easier. I take solace in the fact that Seth was a huge Giants fan too. :-(

Sorry about the loss. At least find some happiness in knowing he was trying to provide others with a better life, regardless of our leader's political means in the war.
In town, the local children would flock to the soldiers saying "Meester, Meester!" Seth would often hand out candy to the kids.

Oh my..
On February 3rd of last year, my friend Sam Glavin died trying to save someone from a fire. If anyone is at all interested, here's the story: http://www.jsonline.....aspx?id=561224
Sorry to take the topic off track.. I'm sorry for your loss as well. But the memories we have of our good friends should be enough to keep us strong and on the right path.
