Perhaps that may due to the fact that for as long many can remember this world has been devoid of true discord. I mean not to suggest that there have been no wars. There have of course been skirmishes between micro-alliances and the occasional beat down of a larger alliance or two who have run afoul the good graces of the powers that be. But despite these small scuffles not in nearly a decade has there been an event to upend or challenge the status quo, and the world suffers from this wanting. Peace, growth, and stability are no doubt good for a time, and in other realms perhaps even desired in perpetuity. But in our world too much of these things acts a slow poison and starves us of the one necessity essential to our survival – conflict. Wars, plots, betrayals, coups, and all the tension and drama that come with are more nourishing to the denizens of Bob than any food or drink. It is our life’s blood and our mother’s milk. If the goal of Oculus was peace at any cost then it has succeeded beyond its wildest expectations. The world has become devoid of conflict, and without any reason to continue to remain engaged in the affairs of this place the number of nations has plummeted from the tens of thousands to just over two thousand. Once mighty alliances have dwindled to become pale shadows of themselves, and new rulers who have come to being in this wasteland know not the names of the heroes of old and will never appreciate the dynamic past that once was. I assure you this death of the world is no accident. The ringleaders of this present-day cataclysm, the New Pacific Order, have been aware that their ruthless quest for hegemony at any cost would undoubtedly usher in an era of stagnation that would inevitably lead to the death of Bob from the forces of lethargy. Pacifican Imperial Officers rejected any notion that as the preeminent power of this world that they had a responsibility to be good stewards and to foster an environment conducive to conflict, instead accepting the world’s demise as the natural end and necessary price for their ultimate dominion and victory. But there are those of us left who refuse to simply fade away. We reject the slow death to which the NPO had condemn us, and if fortune is with us we may yet spark some life into this world once again, even if only briefly. To this end and on this day I, Rebel Virginia, reestablish the Federated Allied Independence League and declare a state of war of with the New Pacific Order wherever they are to be found. We shall accept no less than the complete dissolution of the wretched alliance. Any member of NPO wishing to do so may enter into negotiations for their surrender, provided of course that a wine drenched Pacfican flag is first offered up as a token of good faith. We honored to stand alongside our friends and allies in this noble endeavor, and we extend this offer to any member of Oculus who tires of the prism of apathy they have created for themselves: Join us. Only once you have thrown your shackles of infrastructure into the fire will you know true freedom. They belong to all of us, friend and fow alike. We all sat on our hands and allowed in a dwindling world for Pacifica to grow beyond any alliance. To explode with efficiency and growth. We did nothing! When the time to act arrived at each of our doorsteps, and it most assuredly did, we did Nothing! For ten years we've done nothing to fix it. We can't blame Pacific for not falling on the sword and dying for us! Nobody and I mean nobody builds what they've built to fall on a sword. We did this! In the past political shifts and balances were planned and arranged by real leadership. The stewardship you call for was our responsibility! It was our job to act against them. But our world has lacked any real efforts to change it. No leadership to draw the coalition, no power to rally behind, and no ideology to swing the balance. Until now... So no, this war doesn't belong to Pacific! This war doesn't belong to the Freehold of the Wolves, to Non Grata, The Legion, Sparta, or even CCC. It belongs to them. Those who watch and do nothing. Who say we're allies and wait. Those will wait for more favorable odds, for a better time, or are just to scred to lose what they have, because I assure you they will. Don't blame Pacific for winning the game, because that's the whole point! Blame yourself, blame me, blame them who sit and do nothing to change it! Because we are the only ones who could and we did nothing. ~~~~~~~~ This message isnt just for RV. Or the leaders of Polar, IRON, GATO, CLAWS, or half a dozen other alliances doing nothing to fix it.
