ok i put some thought into this idea. ok whenever you either deploy soldiers or when your at war. you equip your soldiers with certain types are weapons. of course they have weapons to start with and its just some simple cheep rifle or somthing. but depending on how much tech you have u can buy the worst or strongest weapons like ak-47 or rocket launchers or an awsome sniper rifle. but heres the thing, when you buy like a rocket laucher, it doesent equip ALL of the soldiers, it equips only 1 soldier with it. oh but of course you can buy more, but you got to have the cash in order to get the whip-lash. heres an example.

you have 200 soldiers that you want to equip a new weapon on. 1 new weapon=1 soldier. ill give examples of weapon damege and price.

ak-47 - chance of amount of soldiers, 12, increases NS by 0.50, chances of soldier living after battle, 43%, tech requiered, 15 price 5k

rocket launcher - chance of amount of soldiers, 30, increases NS by 1.00, chances of soldier living after battle - 32%, tech requiered, 50 price: 20k

sniper rifle (extreme long range) - chance of amount of soldiers, 15, increases NS by 0.75, chances of soldier living after battle - 85%, tech requierd, 40 price: 13k

tell me if i need to fix anything. for the first time :D i put some thought to it and i think this would work. of course theres diffrent type of weapons but these are just examples. like i said comment if i need to change anything about the weapons. what ya think?

It sounds like a good idea, it will make your army a bit more complex and give new strategic posibilitys.

But I would changed it so the player would need to find the perfect balance for his attacking army and his defending army.
That way it will be enough with just a few snipers in every army (say 5% of the soliders are snipers). Attacking with a lot of RPGs would be more effective agains tanks but less effective agains normal troops and more along that lines.

It would just be stupid if a player would equipt all his solides with sniper rifles becasue that is the best gun (most expencive gun). No army can fight a war effective with only snipers.

This would ofcourse be a major new feature. But it would be cool to customice your army to best fight your current enemy.
Something like this:

Scenario 1: you are attacking a low tech nation with mostly troops.
You then send:
90% soliders with assault rifles
5% snipers
5% Soliders with rocket launchers.

Scenario 2: you are attacking a high tech nation with a lot of tanks, but not to many troops:
You then send:
50% soliders with assault rifles.
40% soliders with rocket launchers
10% snipers.

This would make CN into a much more detailed war game.

i like the idea. it would make war more intresting instead of just pushing an attack button and wiping out somebody with one attack

Just make two types of techonology, techonology of civilians and techonology of armed forces,

Civilian techonology increases, NS and more money/happiness, literacy level, faster productions.
and Armed forces Tech level, increases Weapon typ moder and extreme all that cool stuff.




When you are buying tech you can have a choice of which type yo u want.

I don't really like threads like this, since tech already serves as this feature. I'd much rather go for Rebeller's idea, but even then, I'm happy with what we've got now.

u just want something in the game to be named after ur alliance xD

Personlly i prefer diferent types of soldiers.

This is a good idea, but just needs some adjustment. I think it would work better if it was set up like theis:

Name, price, tech needed, effect

-AK 47, 500k, 30 tech, all soldures do 102% damage
-MP5, 750k, 50 tech, all soldures do 103% damage
-G36C, 1 mil, 95 tech, all soldures do 105% damage
-M16, 1.5 mil, 150 tech, all soldures do 107% damage
-AUG A2, 2mil, 200 tech, all soldures do 110% damage
-M249, 3 mil, 250 tech, all soldures do 115% damage
-M60, 5 mil, 350 tech, all soldures do 120% damage

I think that his would be a great addition to the game, also, we can do also add armour is the same way(like Flack jackets and such).

What do you guys think?

Knock me over with a feather, finally, some thought put into a suggestion! You've done it Sparta, a real suggestion, with merit I might add. However, your purchase prices are way too high for the benifit received. Example- I have over 26,000 soldiers; so I want to put rocket launchers in the hands of 1000 soldiers at a cost of $20k per, that's a total cost of $20M. And as for the NS benifit, compared to the NS benifit I receive thru purchasing technology, this is twice as expensive.

Now, how expensive does it get if I want to put rocket launchers in the hands of say 10,000 soldiers... you get my point. And $5k for an AK-47, come on!

Here's more food for thought, where's the upkeep cost? These things aren't maintanance free you know!
