I never hooked up my 360, but...
Is it the correct signal? Can the wireless router for the 360 even accept the type of signal your computer gives off?

Who's Beyong?
Anyway, I recomend you just plug it in with the cable that comes with the 360. Wireless connections are messy, avoid them when possible. Just put it in a phone plug or in the back of your wireless router.

Not everyone has their router in the same spot as their 360. Furthermore, a phone jack is different from an ethernet jack. Wouldn't work if you had done that.
