For years, the nation of France has been the subject of many surrender jokes due to the shame of defeat in WWII. However, the power and glory days of France have been captured and created into this alliance know as the French Empire. Once again an Empire alliance has been created to florish in CN and bring redemption to France.

 

Article One: Membership
Section One: Entry

Upon entry into the French Empire, all applicants must meet the following requirements and all others regulated by law.
-Be part of the White sphere
-Not be part of any active wars
-Settled all debts with previous alliances (if any)
-Not list on any alliance fugitive lists

Once
the requirements have been met, applicants must post an application for
membership in the appropriate forum section. Upon posting and
acceptance of the application, said applicant has agreed to swear
unconditional loyalty and duty to the French Empire.

Section Two: Resignation

If
a member of the French Empire wishes to resign his/her membership, said
member must post a resignation thread in the appropriate forums section
forum section and settle any and all debts to the French Empire.

Article Two:The National Assembly
Section One: Powers and Responsibilities

The
National Assembly shall serve as the embodiment of power for the
members of the French Empire. The National Assembly shall be responsible
for declaration of alliance war, oversight of all government
institutions, and removal of government members, as well as creating and
regulating laws stated in this Constitution. All voting measures are
approved by a majority vote.

Section Two: Election of the National Assembly

The
number of Representatives serving in the National Assembly shall
consist of an odd number regulated by law but shall be no lower than
three. Candidates for the National Assembly shall announce candidacy
prior to the election date. Election dates shall be: February 25th,
April 25th, June 25th, August 25th, October 25th, December 25th. Terms
start at the beginning of the month prior to each election.

Section Three: Speaker of the National Assembly

On
the first day of each term, the National Assembly shall elect a
Speaker. The Speaker of the National Assembly shall serve as the head of
the National Assembly and maintain proper decorum among the
Representatives. The Speaker of the National Assembly must be elected
before the second day of term. If the National Assembly fails to select a
Speaker, the Representative-elect with the most votes received during
the election shall become Speaker.

Section Four: Amendments

Amendments
to this constitution shall formally originate and be voted upon by the
National Assembly. Once passed by a two thirds vote, the amendment shall
be sent to the King for approval. Once approved by the King, the
amendment shall be adopted into the French Constitution.

Article Three: The King
Section One: Powers and Responsibilities

The
King is the Head of State and Head of Government of the French Empire.
The King shall also serve as the Supreme Commander in Chief of the
French military. The King shall have the power to do what is both
necessary and proper in representing, maintaining, and protecting the
French Empire from foreign and domestic threats as well as grant pardons
and veto laws passed by the National Assembly.

Section Two: Royal Decrees
The
King of the French Empire shall be granted power to create decrees that
shall have the weight of law. Decrees are subject to amendment and
removal by the National Assembly.

Section Three: Resignation and/or removal of the King

Should
the King of the French Empire resign, the King shall name a successor
to the throne. The King is subject to removal by the National Assembly
with just cause. Should the King fail to fulfill his responsibilities
and duties to the French Empire, the National Assembly may remove the
King from the throne by an unanimous vote. Should the King be removed
from the throne, the named successor of the King shall take the throne.

Article I: Sovereignty

The
New Sith Order and the French Empire are both recognized by this
document to be awesome and their own alliances. Neither shall interfere
in each other's sovereign matters, but advice is always freely given.

Article II: Protection

The New Sith Order agrees to provide protection for the French Empire while they grow and develop their alliance.

Article III: Economics

Trading, tech dealing, and Marxist theory is highly encouraged between the signatories.

Article IV: Cancellation

Should
either party be drunk enough to consider a break-up, both parties will
consider this document valid for an additional 72 hours so they can make
a sober decision.
