I now pronounce my sincere apology to the GPA, Kristin_Marie, Angevin, and the many others whom I have caused economic and personal suffering. I hope that the GPA will accept this apology, and clear my name.

Edit: The attack in question may have happened almost a year ago but alot of damage was done to 3 high ranking GPA nations. I could understand why they would want to continue the punishment after they found out who Prawn was.

Thus ends the string of feel-good moves from the GPA.
Nevertheless, kudos for making amends for past transgressions, but the penalty is questionable.
Many alliances don't go by that. Hell, for as long as i remember, each time a new nation that was on a old ZI list is found, s/he is zi'd again
so, no, i don't think that is the end of feel-good moves from GPA

For all we know, those were reduced. And I don't think they view who's still a member as relevant for these purposes.

I do think that "perma-ZI" is just kind of vague, given all the possible options available - bring to ZI & then release, keep at ZI for (time period), keep at ZI until (appeal process), and keep at ZI forever-no-matter-what. Then there's the question of whether deletion clears the issue, which different people have different opinions on. However, it's up to each alliance to make these sovereign enforcement decisions themselves.
The argument against releasing someone just because they delete and recreate is that it makes for a quick escape from their sentence - a loophole that certain rogues might start relying on: "I might as well go nuts on 'em, then I'll just sell myself down to ZI, delete, recreate and do it again." Regardless of the mechanics involved, there's no point in giving amnesty to the unrepentant.

Man, you'd be amazed at some of the damages to be tallied up from nuking multiple 60KNS nations. I've seen Great Wars settled for less than the amounts involved. I wouldn't be surprised if those reps are in the ballpark of the actual damages. And why shouldn't they be more? If I break into your house and smash things, I shouldn't get off just by paying market value for the stuff I smashed.
