The Amazing Sanction Race

Recommended Posts

I just read the update again, and it seems the 10 days is only for your flag. The new alliance will get sanctioned on the same day that it passes into position 12.

It seems strange, because then alliances, like you said, who are battling for 12 can be sanctioned on 1 day, and not the next, etc...

Yeah, it kind of takes away some of the thrill of having sanctioned alliances if you can lose them immediately. I liked the quarterly audit, it gave us something to look forward to.

I liked the quarterly audit, myself. Gave a clear finish line for what was, in a way, a peaceful race. What's a sanction now? Red italics?

I really wish we'd bring back forum masks to people who were sanctioned.

Agreed. I loved that feature.

Indeed that was very nice.

Wouldn't it be harder now though with the sanction up for grabs every day?

It would be too annoying changing the constantly as alliances pop in and out the lower sanction spots imo. Especially with the trend of sanctioned alliances losing their spot.

You saw what happened to the last people who warred admin, right?

They're still alive and kicking I believe :v:

Also 2 days left on the surrender terms :)

I think the main reason we don't have masks anymore is because the mod staff would have to manage up to almost 6,800 masks, and whenever someone resigns or leaves, they'd have to go in and change the mask.

Could make it so you could voluntarily pick one, just like in-game AA. Just make 12 masks, change them every once in a while (when necessary), and let alliances police who's flying them themselves.

But this is all a discussion for other threads... I think. :awesome:

As you well know I'm sure Comrade, that's the way they did it for many many months (well over a year).

There were also far more people in the sanctioned alliances then than there are now (for instance, NPO was over 1200 and Legion over 1400 nations at one point before GW III, while masks were still in place, as opposed to the NPO with 900 nations and IRON with 800 nations today.)

I'm not denying it's hard work, but it was harder work in the past, and the mod staff still managed it.

Let's not forget I'm sure it was still easier since both alliances had several ghosts and every person didn't register on the forums though sometimes it was need to check into threads to rate an alliances activity.

Commentary

I would like to congratulate Ragnarok and FOK on their first day in bold. Ragnarok also begins to recover from their major losses yesterday. United Purple Nations is in the spotlight again, as they make another large gain. I also predict they will pass the 300 member mark tomorrow. The Templar Knights made a nice gain today, we haven't seen that out of them in a while. Viridian Entente and The Pheonix Federation continue to fall. Grand Global Alliance is gaining ground, even while loosing score, where have I heard that before?
