It only took months from when I put it out there. Got shelved for a while... other stuff going on, like the new Charter and gov/mil reorganization. Since over half of the GPA is in Anarchy, they won't be collecting taxes, and thus their NS and portions of alliance-wise score are not updated. Great time to be busy Logan... gosh... Anyway, let's start with the huge gains near the top, especially with militarized alliances. NPO's enormous increase is startling, considering how recently their war began. Grämlins dropped noticeably, were immediately passed by TPF and GATO, and remain only .01 above MHA. Probably just one of those massive improvement swaps or tech deals... We know they'll jump right back up. Down towards the bottom, much less happened; many alliances lost score or went nowhere. Nice jumps by FOK, NATO and VE... while NADC continues to rocket down the charts. However, they'll be thanking the GPA for taking the title of "Biggest Loser" for today, and, from the looks of some of the conversations in this forum, the next several days/weeks/months/years. Invicta passes Legion, yet again. RIA moves up another slot, even though they lost points themselves. Atlantis gets a shout-out just because they're cool. B) Check my math/colors/bolding/ranking... You may be right, I admit I probably have forgotten in the long time sicne I've had to calculate things like this. I just know that score and NS aren't updated automatically as many seem to believe. Sancus Posted February 14, 2008 Report Share Posted February 14, 2008 (edited) Horde, for reference NS is basically the only part of the score calculation: each nation is currently worth a score of 0.0107 every chunk 3000 NS is worth exactly 0.01 Those are the only considerations in the equation and, as you can see, a 3000 NS Nation is worth 2 times the score of a new nation, a 30000 11 times. The math simplified: divide NS by 3000 them multiply by .01 and add an extra .01 (or .0107 if your that picky) for the lulzs and you have the score of your nation. Nukes themselves are simply worth the 50 NS they add to your nation. Many over estimate their score value and this irks me. For reference 5000 nukes are worth a sad .83 in score. (I lol'ed at those who thought GPA could recover #1 by maxing nukes) I hope this is useful to anyone wondering how score works.
