The May 21st update had a net member change of -46 for all the alliances in the Sanction Race. I don't remember seeing that many nations leave/delete/whatever in a single day in a long time.

You're luckier than I; I once had a guy (non-aligned, mind you, no poaching here) threaten to declare war on my then 15K NS nation with his measly 3 NS for daring to encroach on his sovereignty. I also had one guy say that he went with another alliance's recruitment message and he then said I should join him instead.

Yeah, mass-recruiting never worked well for me. Maybe I smell or something.

Haha, it doesn't work for me either, usually. If I get 1 or 2 people I'm happy, some of our better members came out of mass recruiting unbelievably enough. But yeah, I've gotten nasty replies as well, that's just fun though.

More people quitting the game early this year than normally. Also losing sanction meant losing a ton of ghosts as well.
