dragonknight1000
Slightly closer to TOOL B) and hopefully not even closer (we have a 60k NS nation at 25 days inactive so you can expect a good drop from TOOL, again unless he pops up and recollects - which he better or he'll be cursed )

janax
Still is, in my opinion. 3.65 million per year in upkeep is peanuts once you pass a certain NS.
Drai
Still is, in my opinion. 3.65 million per year in upkeep is peanuts once you pass a certain NS. Why put yourself in range of higher nations (their NS contribution is peanuts too I know)? I mean there's minor arguments both ways but I don't see the need to keep 50 on hand. BamaBuc
Still is, in my opinion. 3.65 million per year in upkeep is peanuts once you pass a certain NS. It's not that much, but there's just no need to do it. They do nothing defensive, so there's no advantage to having them on-hand. They'll cost you just as much to buy when a war starts, except you won't have been paying the (admittedly small) upkeep for months. Besides, they'll just get nuked away, and you'll be back to square 1. Happened to me in the war... Within a few days I was back to buying CMs as I used them. Most of my stockpile just burned. And they falsely inflate your NS as Drai said. -Bama

TypoNinja
Remember when buying and stocking up CM's was considered a good idea? I do, That was back when there was no way to destroy them, I could be mistaken but I seem to remember at one point you didn't need to pay bills to attack, so for a brief period it was a good idea. Shodemofi-NPO
Still is, in my opinion. 3.65 million per year in upkeep is peanuts once you pass a certain NS. What Bama said mostly. I mean, the reason for keeping planes around is obvious, if you're blitzed they provide a defensive advantage for when you're attacked, but cruise missiles don't at all. You the choice of buying them and paying upkeep for months, or just buying them. I can't see any arguments for keeping them around.

Tier 1 saw both the biggest gainer and the biggest loser for the day, with the Independent Republic Of Orange Nations and Sparta, who seems to be hemorrhaging members, respectively. The Green Protection Agency and the New Pacific Order also put up respectable gains, not far off of IRON's .17. It also saw one of the few passes of the day, as Sparta fell below the Mostly Harmless Alliance. Tier 2 was rather quiet today, with the Viridian Entente making up a little bit of the difference between themselves and the Mushroom Kingdom. The 3rd tier was quieter than the second, with neither a gain nor a loss of more than six hundredths of a point, though the Multicolored Cross-X Alliance creeped closer to the Commonwealth Of Sovereign Nations. Tier 4 saw the other pass of the day, with RnR bouncing back from their loss of yesterday and passing the North Atlantic Defense Coalition once again. All was pretty quiet outside of that, except for Invicta losing almost a quarter of a point. Way to be the outlier, Invicta. And that's all for the moment. Pardon my inevitable horrible screw-ups in math. ---------- Related Links: Stats By Unspeakable Evil Tournament Edition Sanction Race How To Update the Amazing Sanction Race Sanction Race Update Creator spreadsheet: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pFd...rmXWQ&hl=en [/update]
