im317
I've been keeping an eye on their nuclear buildup, which has been very impressive. They broke 1000 very recently. I don't necessarily agree with getting an MP and a nuke arsenal at 3999 infra though. It didn't really work well for PC nations in the last war. It's also too bad that they aren't really importing tech so those nukes aren't that strong. Still, I'm sure that'll change. yeah but those nukes without tech hit a lower NS range, think about the easy wins that should provide. That's true. Nukes are great to have at the lower levels though, because you can just run over everyone. But if you can't afford the nukes, the MP isn't doing you much good. -Bama

Survivor Cybernations Alright, so things were a little messed up from yesterday, here's how it's going to work: The New Sith Order will still be the only alliance eliminated yesterday, but instead of ending up with everyone else, they will be at the top of the chart, finishing in 34th position. The same will apply for any other alliances who fall below the Drop Line. Commentary It's come rather quickly, but thanks to a loss of half a point over the past 48 hours, Sparta is now closer to the New Polar Order than the Mostly Harmless Alliance; who gained a quarter-point today. More than a point now separates the latter from third place, while only three-quarters separates third and fourth. Special recognition also goes to Fark, who gained nearly a sixth of a point today. The Mushroom Kingdom finally got the better of the Viridian Entente; gaining a third of a point to close to within half that distance, taking Biggest Gainer and a trip off the island for their efforts. Ragnarok jumps all the way over the MARU line, and is only a third of a point away from earning a nasty glare from The Grämlins. Both the United Purple Nations and the Multicolored Cross-X Alliance earn notable gains, putting some distance between themselves and their adversaries behind them. In Tier Three (which is a tenth of a point from including Invicta), the Siberian Tiger Alliance clears 17 points with a small gain, while the Random Insanity Alliance isn't giving up hope thanks to a very impressive gain of their own. Finally, as we've become used to, the We Are Perth Army is creeping along only one basis point behind Umbrella. ---------- Related Links: Stats By Unspeakable Evil Tournament Edition Sanction Race How To Update the Amazing Sanction Race Sanction Race Update Creator spreadsheet: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pFd...rmXWQ&hl=en [/update] Edited September 24, 2009 by Gopherbashi

Azaghul
Normally we always fluctuate, this is the longest and most consistent period of growth I think we've had.

Azaghul
yeah but those nukes without tech hit a lower NS range, think about the easy wins that should provide. The low ranks don't matter very much though. You want to put yourself in a position to eventually have a strong high ranks with WRCs, high tech, and big warchests. In a war a nation with an MP and WRC, 5K+ tech, 8500 infra, and a ~500 mill warchest is worth at least 2-3 3999K infra nations with MPs, 20 nukes each, and ~100 mill warchests. The former is not only gonna have much more powerful nukes (and be able to buy 2 a day) but will dominate the ground, air, navy battles and CM exchanges while fighting on much longer. WorkingClassRuler
Late thought, what if those who fall below the Drop Line are just sent to Exile Island until they grow enough to get back in the race? That way they're not permanently punished for losing and remain a possible threat of coming back, but they could still be eliminated if they grow too much on their way back in. I know I'm not trying to make sense of it. It's more enjoyable if you don't try. you guys seem to grow only when you need too....except MK which always seems to grow MK is indeed awesome I know they've said they're not specifically trying for Sanction but I'd love to see them there eventually. Archon
Thanks all for the kind words! I know I'm proud of our early exit, and hope to welcome more Aqua brethren on the other side of the line as soon as I can. And WCR, because MK does not actively grow with a sanction in mind, I expect us to join the illustrious ranks of the Gremlins and TOP as those alliances that held a sanctionable score but lacked the member requirement. Who knows, though...
