bakamitai
Yes, WAPA joins the sanction race today. Because it's the end of the month, I will be doing a monthly update tonight. I will post the daily update an hour early tonight, at 8 PM CN, and the monthly update at the regular time of 9 PM CN. This should give people a chance to weigh in on today's developments, before addressing the broader perspective.

On behalf of the 31 alliances already in the Race, I bid members of the newcomer welcome to our family. May your merger be happy and profitable. As an experiment today, I am trying spacers among the sanctioned alliances. There has been a bit of discussion about whether doing so is appropriate, and I agree that a spread of 1.25 would be too small. After all, these are the big guns we're dealing with. So, in deference to their size, I've decided to quadruple the required point spread. In other words, a gap of 5 points is needed to insert a blank line between sanctioned alliances. As your humble servant, I anxiously await your opinions regarding the change. Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming. A wise man once said: "Admin giveth, and Admin taketh away." Such can be said for The Order of the Paradox, whose gross gain yesterday has been tempered by the biggest loss today. The biggest gainer today is Mostly Harmless Alliance, whose increase brings them within shouting distance of Sparta. The race for the top three slots is heating up! The race for #5 is already red hot, with The Democratic Order gaining 0.12 on their positional rivals Orange Defense Network. Fark has reclaimed the #7 spot from their arch-nemesis and perennial "menace" Green Protection Agency, who lost over a quarter point. Independent Republic of Orange Nations added two tenths. New Pacific Order resume their downward trend, and their fall of 0.19 points and 12 members rounds out the sanctioned alliance news. Moving below the line, Ragnarok continue their daily fall, earning second biggest loser at 0.22 points and drawing them dangerously close to The Legion. Commonwealth Of Sovereign Nations also posted a large drop, while Siberian Tiger Alliance put up a strong gain for their size of 0.10 points, gaining four members and drawing ever closer to sanctionability. Finally, the aforementioned We Are Perth Army get today's shoutout, for roaring into the Race, passing not just the Add Line but also RnR. I'm off to prepare the monthly update. Sorry this daily update was a few minutes late -- it was a big one! Edit: clarity and perspective. ---------- Related Links: Stats By Unspeakable Evil Tournament Edition Sanction Race How To Update the Amazing Sanction Race Sanction Race Update Creator spreadsheet: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pFd...rmXWQ&hl=en [/update] Edited July 1, 2009 by bakamitai

Multicolored Cross-X Alliance passes Commonwealth Of Sovereign Nations and Nueva Vida Global Alliance And Treaty Organization passes Commonwealth Of Sovereign Nations and Nueva Vida Siberian Tiger Alliance passes Umbrella, Random Insanity Alliance, and RnR Commentary Overall, June was a dynamic month as the Karma War wound down. Most of the sanctioned alliances lost members, with New Pacific Order leading the pack at an astounding 105 members and over 6 points lost. Their losses are only loosely rivaled by Ragnarok, who lost 66 members and nearly 5 points. Five alliances left the Sanction Race, while only one entered (at that on the last day of the month). Despite the losses, the vast majority of alliances gained score, with The Order of the Paradox leading the way. Kudos go out to the Orange Paradoxians, who have extended their lead. Sparta lost 23 members, yet kept their place in line, an admirable achievement. Mostly Harmless Alliance added a member every other day, and came out nearly two points ahead. New Polar Order have solidified their #4 slot, breaking 40 score and 400 members. Independent Republic of Orange Nations regained their sanction, despite losing members. New Pacific Order bore the brunt of the war damage, dropping from #5 to #10. However, I would be remiss not to mention Ragnarok here, who also suffered heavily, as did Viridian Entente. In the contenders, the standouts are World Task Force, who have separated themselves from the peloton to draft the leaders. In the peloton, there weren't too many surprises, but the award for Best Performance goes to Monos Archein, who passed a goodly five alliances, with Mushroom Kingdom a close second. Among the hopefuls, the most impressive performance bar none belongs to Invicta. In addition to becoming sanctionable by gaining an incredible 64 members, the purple juggernaut gained nearly 3 points and passed seven other alliances during its meteoric rise. And in the up-and-comers, the Best Recruitment award goes to Random Insanity Alliance, who are approaching sanctionability, while the Most Improved award goes to Siberian Tiger Alliance. ---------- Related Links: Stats By Unspeakable Evil Tournament Edition Sanction Race How To Update the Amazing Sanction Race Sanction Race Update Creator spreadsheet: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pFd...rmXWQ&hl=en [/update] Edited July 1, 2009 by bakamitai
