Bodvar Jarl
/me goes to switch his aa from Grämlins to TOP for a day Please dont. And no, if we wanted a sanction more than we wanted just members we think improves our community, we would have worked for a sanction, and we would have reached it a long time ago. Bedford Forrest
Ok kiddies, listen up. I thought of making a speshul topic, but what the hell, this really makes sense here. Get out the popcorn! MASH-Vanguard "Hiroshima Competition" There will be 5 divisions that we will compete in: 1. Nation Strength (biggest gainer) 2. Average Nation Strength (biggest gainer) 3. Infrastructure Growth (biggest gainer) 4. Technology Growth (biggest gainer) 5. Nukes (biggest gainer?) How do you win? You must emerge victorious in 3/5 of the areas, doesn't matter which area. Competition ends January 1st, 2009 CN time. What do you win? IF Vanguard wins: BF buys Vanguard a super deluxe pizza with garlic bread and MASH donates 9 million pixel dollars to a nation(s) of our choosing (in our alliance duh lol) IF M*A*S*H wins: I sing the teapot song in the 'amazing saction race thread' and donate 9 million pixel dollars to a nation(s) of your choosing. M*A*S*H NS: 3,538,732 Avg NS: 21,844 Infra: 707,013 Tech: 125,335 Nukes: 490 Vanguard NS: 2,099,350 Avg NS: 33,860 Infra: 371,829 Tech:104,302 Nukes: 532 WOOT! May the best alliance win! Great Lord Moth
we gained 30 'members', I bet it'll be tough to beat our gain, even if almost all of them are at near-zero strength. CB had 23 members, all of which are WAY over zero-strength. Several of them are stronger than what were once our strongest members. ;>_> I think we stand a damn good chance if everyone hops the Fap Fap Train before update. William Blake
I like how you care more about the numbers than the members themselves. What are these "members" you speak of?
Maxen von Bismarck
What are these "members" you speak of? You ever wonder whose shines your shoes or fixes you breakfeast? Yes, those worthless peons. In other parts of CN they're sometimes called 'members.'

The Grinch
The system is stupid anyway, this isn't abusing it anymore than winning a senate seat is. Ghosts are a legitimate problem in the game that need to be dealt with by the alliances not admin.

Ghosts are a legitimate problem in the game that need to be dealt with by the alliances not admin. how might you recommend we deal with these Ghosts? They are in peace mode, so even threats of war will do nothing, even sanctioning would do nothing as they obviously don't care about the good of their nations
Gopherbashi
Two quick announcements: I would sincerely appreciate it if people refrained from attacking each other in this thread. Go get some other thread locked, because I like my 540-page monstrosity. Short of an statement from admin regarding TOP's Voxghost issue, all statistics for the Sanction Race shall be taken directly from in-game information. Few alliances are exempt from ghosting issues, and while a coordinated ghosting spree is far from common, this thread shall take its data from what is given in reality, and not from anyone's subjective views of what is right or wrong. (EDIT) I will be posting update within the next hour and a half. Edited November 26, 2008 by Gopherbashi
Azrael Alexander
Well i think we can still discuss it gopher as it is called the Sanction Race so any specualtion/comment i think would be welcome. I didn't say so before but i love you new formatting changes Also this is pretty much all needed to know from you, oh master of the Sanction Race: Short of an statement from admin regarding TOP's Voxghost issue, all statistics for the Sanction Race shall be taken directly from in-game information. I might race you to it gopher and post before you like you did to be EDIT: No im not going to update today, i will do a big update soon as i want to how the actual spheres have changed Edited November 26, 2008 by Shamshir

Mack Truck
If they're doing no harm then what need is there to get rid of them? The only people getting hurt here is GGA if they lose their sanction, which I'm sure they'll cope with.
Zoomzoomzoom
Vox is going to be using their AA for months and months if they plan on keeping GGA down. Once they leave the AA GGA gets their sanction back. It's a pretty low move considering GGA's extravagant slow growth and extraordinary growth from people like GPA, NpO, and TOOL. We all know GGA will lose it sooner or later. Messing around with TOP's accomplishments is just BS and I hope admin realize this or talks to a TOP representative about the issue. This is an abuse of the system.

Due to the relatively small nature by which they hold onto this 200 number, and the controversy surrounding their current status, the Add and Drop Lines will be pegged at 12.05 and 11.75 until the situation stabilizes. Nevertheless, we must welcome the Random Insanity Alliance back into the race, after making us feel jealous by leaving for a few days. Also of note today is the loss by Ragnarok, more than a quarter point for two days running, although they were nearly edged out for the Biggest Loser prize by the Viridian Entente. The race between Sparta and the Mostly Harmless Alliance heats up again, with less than half a point separating the 4th and 5th placed alliances. FOK and The Phoenix Federation continue a duel of their own, sitting less than a tenth of a point apart. The New Polar Order and The Order of Light keep up with each other today, neither one letting the other move away too quickly. The Green Protection Agency, for its part, dropped a tenth of a point today, dropping well back of the other two. The Democratic Order manages to hold even today, one day after a gigantic loss sent it falling backwards. Valhalla also managed to spring back today, gaining more than a tenth of a point after a sharp loss of their own yesterday. Invicta drops another tenth of a point today, while M*A*S*H and the Mushroom Kingdom pull ever closer to each other.
