Despite many early political successes, this did not work out perfectly; co-operation on issues beyond the senate became limited, and each alliance devoted itself to its internal operations. We tried several times to restructure this and jump-start economic collaboration, but it did not work. The pact looked like it was ineffective despite the efforts. In the end, [ooc]it was a change in game mechanics that sealed its future. Admin changed the trade system, allowing changing of resources and almost eliminating the relevance of team size in trading. Color is no longer important.[/ooc] This has eliminated the most essential functionality of the treaty. In a last ditch effort, I sat down with my Regent to find out any plausible function for the treaty. None could be found, and accordingly, we have given notice of our withdrawal from Red Dawn. There is no economic or gameplay benefit to co-ordinate over. There is only one part to teams that remains: The three Senate Seats. NPO's stance on them will not change. We will not interrupt the status quo, and continue to work with the other Red Sphere alliances on seats. The NPO will continue keeping its own 2 candidates, and vote for any 3rd who is supported by Red Dawn or the alliances of the sphere. We may be getting rid of the economic treaties which weren't actually being used, but we will continue doing the only thing that was done - Senate cooperation. You realize the rest of Red Dawn and move it forward if they can find a solid use. We are out of ideas for it.
