maddy
"Today we see that Las Malvinas has began a path that they do not want to and will not apparently stop on. In my opinion they are becoming a extremist, oppressive, and threatening government to their people and the Right to Worship wherever and who ever they please." Juliet looked at the Grand-Council, "I have already made up my mind in what I want to do. I want to see the oponion of my people. Obviously, you all represent my people so I would like you all to write on a piece of paper, 'Yes' or 'No' if we should defend this nation at all in the event of invasion." The Chancellor sat back and watched as the Councilmen and women wrote down their answers and brought them up to her, one by one, person by person, vote by vote... She had a piece of paper with her and counted each vote. She looked up, "11 votes abstained, 89 votes to not defend them, and 0 votes to defend them..." She looked at the Grand Council, "The people of Organcia have spoken. Their Chancellor is honored to have the same oponion as them." the Council stood up and started clapping and whistling. Las Malvinas is no longer neutral with The Republic of Organcia. Las Malvinas is now considered a danger to the world's freedom. In the event of conflict, we know what side we will be on. maddy
DEFCON 4 "Ladies and gentlemen," Chancellor Juliet spoke to 10,000 soldiers in a auditorium, "It has come to my attention that in a forien land people are being invaded and attacked for no just cause or reason except for just the sake of land. This attack is not only an attack against a innocent sovreign nation but an attack against freedom itself. We are currently waiting permission from the Swis government. In the event that they do say yes to let us to attempt to come help them in this time of need, I am asking for volunteers to step up to defend another nation." One of the women looked to the Chancellor and said, "Madam Chancellor, why would we want to be willing to wrisk our lives for people we don't even know, for a nation that we have never even been to and our government doesn't even have a treaty for?" the Chancellor calmly looked down and the women, "If you see a pregnant women on the road, in the cold, being mugged, would you not go up and find off the mugger and put your jacket around her arms? Would you not drive her home or bring her to a hospital? Or are you that selfish that you would let her be beaten and possibly loose her soon to be child in the cold?" The women looked at the Chancellor with eyes filled with confusion, "Well of course I would help her Madam Chancellor, it would be inhumane if you wouldn't!" the Chancellor caught the women right there, "Then wouldn't it be inhumane for us to let one government topple another for the sake of land and population and resources? Wouldn't it be wrong for us just to stand by while someone was mindlessly invaded? These... Goths... Have gone to far this time. Hopefully we can help with a cause against them, and hopefully Europe will know to stop them now." 8,300 of the soldiers there were chosen for the mission and began training and some very basic learning of the language. This speech was kept away from the press and was kept inside the walls of the military facility. Organcia was preparing to defend someone they didn't even know.
