Scify
Is there a calculator for this hidden somewhere in the thread? Nevermind, found Chintan's sheet in the mars thread. Location for this month is 32, -74 again (apparently, I forgot to move last month...) Edited April 6, 2016 by Scify

jraenar
Ok, script is saying to try lon=156&lat=-28.99999999 now. I never got my script to do the errors quite right, so if that is wrong I would try: lon=156&lat=-29.00000001 lon=156&lat=-28.99999998 lon=156&lat=-29.00000002 etc. The longitude has never been affected by the floating point errors. Chintan's attempts to nail down the error predicted a few spots where the error jiggle was different from the .99999999 my script outputs, but I don't think we have ever seen those points. Maybe this is a first.

Chintan
Just a reminder for everyone using my google sheet to find the hotspots (@Ghuxalia, @jraenar, etc.): Get the latest version of the google sheet. I updated the probabilities based on the latest observed hotspots, which makes them different from the probabilities in previous versions of the google sheet. Also for those of you new to this thread, here's my google sheet for finding the hotspots: Moon & Mars Hotspot Finder (Google Sheet)You'll have to save a copy to use it (you can just save it to your own Google Drive or download it). And you'll have to give it a few seconds to calculate after entering your test points. Edited June 9, 2016 by Chintan
