RyanGDI
Hmmm...wonder if anyone thought we were gone... Preamble:In the light of both alliances in slightly not-so-brilliant circumstances (GDI taking a plummet in defensive capability and ARN stepping into the world with very little NS and no treaties), our two alliances, the Global Defence Initiative and the Allied Rebel Nations, sign this ODAP to secure safety and prosperity between our two parties. Article 1: Sovereginity GDI and ARN both agree that they are separate entities, and are not one singular party. The two signatory alliances are each to their own, but have decided to bond relations in allied friendship. Article 2: Intelligence If either alliance finds information that is of interest and/or importance to the other alliance, the alliances will attempt to make contact with this information in the earliest time rationally possible. Article 3: Foreign Aid If either party requests it, a party is strongly encouraged (but not required) to aid the other party to the best of their ability. Article 4: Optional Defense In the event that a signatory alliance is attacked, the other alliance may come to the attacked alliance's help at their discretion. They may also pull out at any time of the conflict at anytime if the odds are unbearable, given that the circumstances allow for such a move (i.e: the option of the enemy granting them peace/surrender terms). Article 5: Optional Offense The signatory alliances recognize that their armed forces are much more effective when combined, and may decide to work together when going to war against a common enemy. This is at the discretion of the other alliance, and they have the right to decline. They may also pull out at any time should they join in the attacking alliance's offensive, given that the circumstances allow for such a move (i.e: the option of the enemy granting them peace/surrender terms). Article 6: Termination Either party has the capability of cancelling this treaty at any time they wish, granting that they first publicly announce the cancellation on the "Open World Forums" and inform the other alliance with a 48 hour pre-notice. Signed for GDI - Ryan (Supreme Commander of the Global Defence Initiative) Wickedangel (Ministress of Recruitment) Freefall (Minister of Economics) Signed for the ARN - KingemO93 (Allied Rebel Nation's Premier) Far from it. (PS: Thanks to Pacifism, Tom Litler, Strykewolf, BHoN, ARN, and the remainders of GDI for sticking to our guns. Trust it when I say it probably won't be in vain. )

Alfred von Tirpitz
RyanGDI, it is nice to see some positive news coming out of GDI. I was starting to feel a bit bad for you about all the stuff thats been going on with GDI of late. And if you have Strykewolf for a mentor/advisor, i would highly recommend listening to him. ChairmanHal
Trust it when I say it probably won't be in vain. ) Is that the equivalent of saying, "hey watch this!"? Good luck to ARN and to the regular members of GDI...you are going to need it.
SodaPolPop
Good luck, but do you really think you're in any position to defend a 3 person alliance totaling about 12k NS? Or, are they here to protect you? Or is this one of those Rube Goldberg-esque treaty webs where GDI is protected (optionally) by ARN who is protected (during winter months) by some Spongebob themed alliance who is protected from an ex-boyfriend by an expired Arkansas ex parte warning that was signed by a judge who has a son that once roomed with a guy in community college that logged into IRC once and talked to a guy in a Furry fetish chat room who was also in another chat window about SQL tips and there was a guy in there that is in Valhalla so therefore...WATCH OUT, GDIz R BACK!11! Eh...other than the first part, I got lost starting at the second line. But for the first, we're 3-4x their size, so we can assist them with rogues/small alliances etc. Once again, this isn't a protection act of any kind, but it's a treaty to expand on relations with. (PS: Noticed a problem on the second line...ARN would be protected by us if there was a matter of protecting, not us being protected by them. ) Edited February 1, 2009 by RyanGDI
SodaPolPop
Eh...other than the first part, I got lost starting at the second line. I figured you could follow it since your catch phrase was always "see how deep the treaty web goes"....Apparently you weren't making a dare, but requesting assistance? Ah, right. Makes sense now...anyhow, our intentions right now aren't to start chaos, but to establish a foothold in AP and push to re-grow internally.
