With the recent news media coming to our attention of some sort of issues going on in the Balkans, specifically Bulgaria, with regards to the nation of your nation, Yugoslavia. We cordially invite the Kingdom of Yugoslavia to send a representative to our capital of Stockholm, so that we may get to know each other, and you can explain as to what is exactly going on there. He shall be traveling in two days time and will be accompanied with an aide to assist him." Respectfully, Kralj Dragojev Belojevic [hr] Private "I wish things were otherwise, Doctor, but alas life tends to be that way," said the Sovereign of Yugoslavia as he stood in front of the good doctor and his aide, the duo standing in front of the small stairs that would lead them to their private jet for the remainder of the trip. "Nonsense, old boy," chided the elderly gentleman before smiling at his old student, "I'm just happy to be of assistance, given my experience and knowledge of the Nordic states," he added as he clasped his hands, holding his briefcase close. "Just be careful, Doctor, the world as it stands is a dangerous one these days," warned Dragojev before taking several steps back, "And give my regards to the Nordic state, whoever you meet," he added after a second as the duo slowly climbed into the jet, his former diplomatic teacher nodding once before fully disappearing into the jet, attendants closing and sealing it before the Sovereign stepped clear of the jet, giving it a wide berth as he stayed to see them off. Rudolph Posted January 8, 2015 Report Share Posted January 8, 2015 Private With the updated information, the jet where the good Doctor was in would continue flying towards the Stockholm Arlanda Airport. Upon its arrival, the good Doctor exited the aircraft, quite comfortable as he and his entourage went through the usual procedures for entering an airport, which were done without much fanfare. With said procedures done and over with, the representative of the Kingdom and his entourage swiftly headed for the airport exit, intent on heading towards the provided location by the gracious Nordic state. Lysergide Posted January 9, 2015 Author Report Share Posted January 9, 2015 The new Diplomatic Corp building had been strategically placed near the airport to allow the ushering of Diplomats quicker so that matters could be conducted on a tighter schedule to maximize time used within the Rike towards the goals of rebuilding. The Doctor would be escorted to a room where Jarl Lykke Nova would be seen staring out the window watching the reconstruction go under way, massive tons of soil still being removed for having radiation contamination, and loads of soil brought in to replace it, massive buildings being constructed, with new features such as sky ways to allow for people to move from building to building on the upper levels instead of using the streets or using the under ground passages that were built, all these passages had construction mechanisms to seal other buildings off in case of contamination. Upon hearing the door open and hearing the Doctor walk in with a Nordisk aid that cleared his throat, she spoke without turning around to face the man. "It is a beautiful thing to see ones people so motivated to recover from what was lost, and rebuild exactly where tragedy had previously struck." She turned around and walked over to the doctor extending her hand in friendship. "It is good to hear from you, it is quite surprising we haven't had much communication before in the past, and while our government did extend this hand of friendship, I was wondering before we started talking there was anything that our government could do for your government?" The good Doctor would extend his hand, shaking the Jarl's offered hand firmly, "It is likewise from the Kingdom's eyes, Jarl Nova. The Kingdom's past efforts before the war was in mainly ensuring peace and stability within Europe along with trying to curb the imperialism that came from the African continent, which unsurprisingly lead to the global war. Needless to say, we didn't have much contact past our northern neighbors due to that specific task but the world is a very different one now and still more lies ahead for all of us," he would say before tackling the question that the Jarl had asked of him and by extension the Kingdom. "There are two things that the Kingdom has as an endless goal, Jarl Nova, and that is peace and stability in a world severely lacking in such. I do hope that you don't truly believe that with as many differences that separate humanity as a whole that it is really possible to have peace and stability in the world. People find reasons to hate each other and to fight, the only thing we can do is as world leaders is to remove those that threaten the peace and stability by force of arms, and to make sure that they can never return to power. Unfortunately we live in times where we allow such nations that seem to want to disrupt the serenity of life with war, even on our very own continent of Europe. One can take the situation in Bulgaria as one example, where the governments of Malta and Greece both continue calling the terrorist organization who struck at the Kingdom in several locations within the region as 'freedom fighters', completely disregarding that these same 'freedom fighters' wounded and killed their own brothers and sisters in their actions," he would reply with before shaking his head. "The Kingdom expected better from its neighbors, especially with regards to Alvonia but disappointment seems to follow the Kingdom of Yugoslavia around with regards to its neighbors. Everyone wants power and is willing to stab its allies in the back to do so. It is why we in the Rike have a core group of allies that haven't changed. We took a chance on Alvonia once, and we see how that turns out after fighting a long hard war with them. They betrayed us and showed themselves as the rabid dog that they are. And it seems that have done so with possibly one of their most firm and staunchest allies. It really is a shame this has happened to your Government and people, and we are sorry to hear about the Terrorist Acts caused by the Bulgarians against your nation and its people." "It is what it is no matter how unfortunate it may be, Jarl Nova," he answered in reply, "At the very least, the alliances that the Kingdom holds with the countries of France, the Eastern Asian Imperium and Hungary-Slovakia still stand strong." "The Kingdom does not necessarily believe that people do it for power, some do it out of fear while others do it because they simply can and there are those who do so in search of power," he started, "From my personal perspective, something momentous prompted Alvonia to as you say, backstab, the Kingdom and we know not what it is but we have our suspicions. Understandable to a degree their response might be, the betrayal is still a betrayal and it would take considerable effort on the part of Alvonia for relations between the two to normalize back to a neutral one. Some would say that this is forgiving and forgetting but the Kingdom has a different take on it, forgiving but never forgetting. Always alert and careful." Before anything had happened, the Kingdom and the Hellenic Republic were on somewhat cordial yet positive relations, the Kingdom was doing its own thing and the Hellenic Republic continued marching forward and seemingly shoring its interests strongly enough to secure allegiances with both the Northlands and the Kingdom of Malta. They effectively control the Mediterranean in its entirety between themselves and now the Kingdom is a pariah within said sea, our only other neighbor going through their own issues and being effectively incapable within the 'League of Nations'. The Hellenic Republic now stands powerful and uncontested in their veritable power within the Mediterranean, their false narrative backed by Malta and subsequently Alvonia lead to the Kingdom with no choice but to back down lest something far dire occur within the region of Bulgaria." "And now, given that Alvonia has no Mediterranean port, they apparently seek to annex Italian land to have a port in the Mediterranean sea, effectively boxing the Kingdom between one enemy in the south and a turned potential enemy in the north. Thus, the Kingdom has no effective power in affecting change or preventing land from being invaded or subjugated, due to the very possible reprisal that can come strictly from the Mediterranean." She would sit with her back straight while she finished listening to him speak his turn before replying. "Could you tell me a little more about the treaties you hold with France, East Asian Imperium, and Hungary Slovakia? I am a bit curious to know more about them. It is unfortunate with the happenings of both the Hellenic League and the rabid dog of Europe, Alvonia. And it does pain me to see them continuing their expansionist policy into your very own back door. If I were you I wouldn't stand for such an act taking place. I think a major problem is your inaction for such a long period of time that your neighbors are mistaking your inaction for weakness." She would send a quick message while talking and would lean forward after she got a reply. "In fact we would be more than willing to throw our support behind you if you so chose to stand up to the expansionist Alvonians. I also think this would be a good time to press home the real worthlessness of the League of Nations. It is why you never saw a Nordisk Representative there, we see it is a fools gathering purposed to allow the strong to stay strong, and to keep down those that would wish to make their own power, like the Slavs." She would lean back into her chair intertwining her fingers together placing them on the table before smiling at the doctor. "Really I think that our two nations stand to become great friends over the mistake of your previous allies, and their lose would be a welcomed friend for the Rike."
