Land of Darkness

The land had once been named Australia by those who had lived there but now it was better known as Naggaroth, the land of darkness. Ruled by the Dread King Malus Darkstorm this land was a place of darkness, death and violence for its ruler was a man of pure violence and malice and from him it seemed to seep into the very soil itself. Always seen in person clad in a brutal and intimidating suit of armour Malus ruled with a tyrannical and brutal fist crushing any who dared to stand against him. By his side his cold but beautiful mother Malerieth offered advice and support to his actions though rumors spoke of her own plans and ambitions.

The people of Naggaroth were cruel, spiteful and selfish. They were always ready to profit from and exploit another person's misery and misfortune. In fact this was how Malus ran his kingdom pitting each city ruler against each other and even against their own families, the weak died but the strong perished though never to such a strength as to be a threat to the Dread King. From such misery and hatefulness the military of Naggaroth was furnished into a small but elite fighting force, punishments for even the slightest failure were so extreme that none wished to do anything but succeed and those that did not quickly died out.

Naggaroth survived by trading with the local islanders around their home though it was more truthful to say they exploited them. The raiders of Naggaroth kidnapped slaves from the islanders and more often than not stole rather than bargained for goods though a select few communities were given amnesty and were left free from harm. Great care was taken to ensure the larger and more active nations in the local area were left unharmed their lands and shipping were always left alone...for now.

For now the Dread King focused on increasing and improving his military forces and raiding fleets and the foundries and mines of Naggaroth continued to stir and bellow day and night without rest. No one but the Dread King knew what his plans were, not even his mother but it would surely spell doom for anyone caught in the Dread King's path.

Emperor Jesse of Shanghai had thought about uniting SEATO and their allies against these Australian barbarians but for now he needed to worry about things back in Shanghai. "We will find a way to deal with them eventually and help the people down there but for now we need to focus on things here."

"Many people are dying down there every day." Adria would say to him. "We cant just sit around and do nothing about it!"

"We can and for now we will. Right now they are not our responsibility and we need to focus on keeping our own people safe and secure."

"Fine. But knowing that we have the ability to save them does make me feel responsible."

OOC: Basically I wont get involved unless you want me to.

Lord Khala Darkstorm, third son of the Dread King had grown frustrated and bored with the infighting between his older brothers for the position of heir to the King. Travelling the length of Naggaroth he roused up a grand army of soldiers who were looking for glory and riches. Together they made their ways to the docks and took to a large host of ships and sailed into the wide blue ocean watched by the King and his other sons. Many thought he would find only his death abroad but Khala truly believed that a grand destiny awaited him.

The war host of Lord Khala approached the wild and untamed land of Africa with the lord himself standing upon the prow watching the shore line grow closer across the horizon. Orders were handed out and the war host settled into a more proficient formation for an offensive landing. With war ships providing protection and fire support if required the landing vessels in the center unleashed their swarms of smaller landing craft towards the beaches. These landing craft would advance in waves quickly advancing towards the beaches at a fast speed the troops inside ready to disembark as quickly as possible. Luck was on the lord's side as there were no defenses or enemy forces defending the beaches itself and the first wave of troops was easily able to land and advance up the beaches to take the whole sector and to provide added security for the following waves. Said waves would come in with larger and slower landing craft carrying armour and support units to bolster the landed infantry.

Advance scouts would move inland on foot to scout the terrain and to provide advance warning against any hostile forces that may move in to counter the landings.
