Solarchos
The alliance I'm a member of, Kashmir, is currently fighting the members of the State of Unified Nations. My own nation is currently fighting two different nations, the Nation of Australia and the Capital Empire. On Thursday, November 20th I deployed a force of over 3000 soldiers and 200 tanks to engage the Nation of Australia, losing 1543 soldiers and 13 tanks in the process of two victorious ground assaults. At the same time I maintained a defense force consisting of 2500 soldiers and 100 tanks at home. On Friday night, November 21st, the Capital Empire attacked my nation twice. Both attacks were successfully defended against by my own defensive forces, but the forces I'd deployed the day before were gone - not destroyed or listed anywhere as casualties, just vanished. I should have still had over 1500 soldiers and almost 200 tanks deployed, but all record of their even existing just disappeared. Obviously a glitch occurred. Reporting it here. Daenerys Targaryen
Its more likely your deployed forces (automatically) returned home because your defending solider count or odds were too low. I assume (might be off on the precise number) once your defending force goes below 5% then any deployed forces return home.
Solarchos
Nope, the numbers didn't add up. My defending soldier count didn't drop down that low and if there had been an automatic recall of deployed forces the number of tanks in my inventory would have doubled. It didn't. That's how I know they all disappeared; if they had been recalled I'd have upwards of 600 tanks at my disposal and upwards of 6000 soldiers, not 380+ and 4300+ as I currently have. Like I said, the math isn't adding up.

Are you sure that your defending troops numbers on the 20th were correct?
Solarchos
You are correct that this is the way that it functions. Are you sure that your defending troops numbers on the 20th were correct? Yes. When I launched the attack I had to make sure I had enough soldiers back in the nation in order to avoid unrest. The casualty figures are accurate because I'd posted them within my guild's forum as part of our battle reports. The soldiers took losses but the tanks did not. My defending tank count had dropped from 100 to a little over 80, but the few hundred I'd had deployed earlier had vanished completely.
admin
Your soldiers get recalled to defend and then you take losses from the resulting defending forces. The numbers look correct in the database.
