There were hundreds of millions in the surrounding areas all starving, with their infrastructure destroyed, food supplies ravaged by the gluttonous Mongolians. Vertical Farms, a practice the Imperium had perfected but had not required until the war began resumed in earnest, it was hoped that within a year enough grain and rice could be produced to allow for the beginning of exports to those unfortunate enough to not have a central national government. In the mean time rationing would begin, along with a propaganda campaign to attempt to keep the civilian population at least tolerant of the rationing, while they would be good hungrier than usual, they would be ensuring the survival of the surrounding peoples, one of the core tenants of the Imperium way of life, ethnicity and religious beliefs were of no meaning, a human was a human, and they all deserve equal treatment.

Joseon

The Peninsula had already begun its own recovery effort, Vertical farms were built in Northern Joseon, working on restoring the bread basket of the Imperium and allow them to provide assistance to the rest of Asia. Gyeongbokgung would begin restoration, having been ravaged by the war.

Manchuria

The last remaining mainland province was devastated, recovery of the mining and industrial sectors was of the highest priority. the population was decimated but happy to be freed from the harsh Mongolian treatment, being held in concentration camps for nearly the entirety of the conflict, the oppression was severe but simply ensured the Imperium as proverbial carrot to the stick.

Aisu-shō

The Imperium's R&D facilities had been working on overdrive to return to the technological dominance they once had, Kazuko had been on a tour of the province, walking along a beach just after what passed for dawn in this part of the world, just after 10:30am, a symbol of that technology, now abandoned sat upon the beach. the local governor was walking along with her and asked if they should remove it, but she gave him strict orders to leave it where it lay, yet another symbol to remind the Imperium's citizens of the cost of their freedom.

Siak Republic

Left mostly untouched, another Imperium industrial base needed to be recovered, more importantly was ensuring the Malaccan Economic Zone was secured. FOr this purpose a new navy was required, the old one being lost.
Army

717,330 Soldiers

OOC: I'll divide them up later, about to rebuy my moon colony tomorrow anyway.

Navy

40 points + 25 nukes

4 = 2 Landing ships
10 = 2 carriers
18 = 6 cruisers
10 = 15 destroyers
10 = 30 frigates
3 = 1 nuclear submarine
5 = 30 corvettes
5 = 15 diesel submarines

Of course, it wasn't all roses for the Imperium restoring order to the outlying territories, the Imperium had provided many with highly advanced technology in order to maintain the outlyers from those who wished to encroach upon her. advanced armors were the norm for Imperium soldiers, and those recruited when the well trained began to die en mass. Once the war was over however, these recruits were not content simply going back to being civilians, and instead used the chaos to set up small warlord kingdoms for themselves, the mainland of Siak Republic was filled with them, and the Imperium had to cleanse the region. Through a series of night raids, thanks to locators placed in the armor, the Imperium acted swiftly, and severely.

Psychological manipulation was in full effect, using the government's pull within the media organizations, effort was made to ensure that the war did not cause undue racial tensions, they were all citizens of East Asia, ethnicity and religion had no place as dividing lines among residents. Recovery efforts of the Home Islands continued, with factories finally returning to civilian purposes. The Imperium's weapons stores had been emptied, and some would be required to be rebuilt, but for now civilian recovery was deemed of higher importance.

Joseon

Demining programs were in operation, it was expected to take several years before the area could be considered safe again, but such was the cost of war. Psychological programs were in effect here as well, the Korean population's hatred towards the Mongolian ethnicities was severe thanks to the harsh treatment they faced under Uriankhai, with assaults, rape, and murders being commonplace among their soldiers, they had valid reasons to dislike them, but it did little for East Asian Harmony. The home islands had faced the horrors of war, but nothing like the Joseonese had faced. The manipulation here instead was based upon Buddhist belief in forgiveness, as well as subtle nudges towards the Japanese Shinto religion, which also had forgiveness practices as a basis to move towards a brighter Asian future.

Manchuria

Like in Joseon, demining programs had to be undertaken to ensure the land was once again arable and not dangerous for the civilian population to work upon, civilian infrastructure within the region was a high priority, restoring order would go miles in returning the population to a more malleable state. Tensions among the Han Chinese and the ethnic minorities were high, but left ignored by the Imperium for now, that was a much bigger problem than could be dealt with at the moment. Mineral extractions would also be put at a high priority, ensuring that the majority of the population had a job doing something.

Aisu-shō

The Ice province continued on its mineral and oil exploitation efforts, with research now focused more on civilian and space technology rather than the technology of destruction.

Siak Republic

Sumatra and Malaysia were the current breadbasket of the Imperium, and work continued upon expanding their ability to produce, advanced farming techniques were employed for now, while Vertical Farms continued their construction. Singapore however was transformed yet again, the labs producing Biological and Chemical weapons for over a decade were instead turned into pharmaceutical and medical research, the Imperium was returning to the hand of harmony once again.

gosh but like we spent hundreds of years looking up at the stars and wondering “is there anybody out there” and hoping and guessing and imagining
because we as a species were so lonely and we wanted friends so bad, we wanted to meet other species and we wanted to talk to them and we wanted to learn from them and to stop being the only people in the universe
and we started realizing that things were maybe not going so good for us— we got scared that we were going to blow each other up, we got scared that we were going to break our planet permanently, we got scared that in a hundred years we were all going to be dead and gone and even if there were other people out there, we’d never get to meet them
and then
we built robots?
and we gave them names and we gave them brains made out of silicon and we pretended they were people and we told them hey you wanna go exploring, and of course they did, because we had made them in our own image
and maybe in a hundred years we won’t be around any more, maybe yeah the planet will be a mess and we’ll all be dead, and if other people come from the stars we won’t be around to meet them and say hi! how are you! we’re people, too! you’re not alone any more!, maybe we’ll be gone
but we built robots, who have beat-up hulls and metal brains, and who have names; and if the other people come and say, who were these people? what were they like?
the robots can say, when they made us, they called us discovery; they called us curiosity; they called us explorer; they called us spirit. they must have thought that was important.
and they told us to tell you hello

The Imperium always looked above, the Aether had many questions, and many answers, Tikal had provided much of their advancements in space technology, and without them and with Druk Yul's departure, the Imperium was the last remaining nation with a foothold in the Aether. Of course, this meant that new research and new technologies were required to provide the Imperium with the capabilities her allies had been relied upon for. notably rapid transit to Orbit, and the Moon. The 85X Shuttle design was chosen for the task, with the ability to carry weapon systems it made for a natural choice, Kazuko's paranoia had permeated through to the scientists that worked in Aisu-shō, and dual use technologies were the norm now. A dozen examples of the design were created, with plans to expand to far more should it prove to be as successful as expected.

With the massively expanded space program, the Imperium also required alternate methods of getting things into space, rockets were expensive, and took excessively long to construct compared to alternate methods. Tikal had taught them many things about the Aether, one such design was named the Bifröst, Imperium scientists nicknamed their take upon the design, Tengokuhenokaidan.
A curved maglev track in a vacuum tunnel totaling 250 kilometers would be built with the exit facing towards the sky. Accelerating at 8g for just under 80 seconds, it would reach 6,278.4 m/s upon leaving its tube. Adding roughly 400 m/s to account for earth's rotation, 6.7 km/s was reached. Normally Volcanos are not ideal locations for such a project, but the Imperium existed upon Ring of Fire, and with geological research had the capability to predict eruptions fairly easily.

bifrostDiagram.jpg

Though 6.7 km/s wasn't quite enough, escape velocity being twice that, there would be a laser array built on top of the mountain out of which the tram emerged. Using exceedingly powerful lasers, the array requiring its own power plant somewhere nearby, the craft would be able to be accelerated to LEO-insertion speeds and beyond. A plasma window would be used to prevent atmosphere from contaminating the tunnel as the mechanical shutter is briefly opened.

Though in theory usable as weapon against satellites or airplanes, the array's capabilities would be wasted by those applications. Coupled with the maglev system, it was a Bifröst, able to deliver up to 70 tons every 2 hours into an orbit, in every respect but sheer mass capabilities superior to space elevators or launch loops. Far fewer resources or power were required to keep it going and it could be built in greater numbers with ease. Mt Fuji was selected as the first location to test the device, with three additional tunnels being excavated should the project prove to be a success. With 20 mountains in Japan alone over 3,000 meters, that many times 300,000 tons of material could be transported into space yearly.

Joseon

Reconstruction continued, Naval yards were reopened and again Type 022 fast attack craft began to be churned out, the Imperium controlled the largest body of water upon the planet, ensuring it had eyes everywhere in that pond was of the highest priority.

Manchuria

Riots of Han Chinese against the Tungusic populations were a regular occurrence, and the military was finally called in to break up the violence, 130,000 Imperium soldiers were sent to the province, to restore order and quell the tensions. Of course, removing the tension was nearly impossible, Imperium Minister of Culture was tasked with organizing some level of control over the population to ensure the revanchism did not continue.

Aisu-shō

Like on Hokkaido, an Imperium Women's Warfare Academy was set up. The Batoru no shisutāzu would be trained here as well, proven to be a massive success against the Mongolian hordes.

Siak Republic

Druk Yul may have disappeared suddenly, but the Thai Canal project was something the Imperium desired, and under the Imperium's control it was considered a much more reasonable concept. Construction efforts would restart, with the majority of the work already completed by the Druk Yul workers previously, it was expected to only take two more years to complete.

The Saisei was upon the Imperium, with no threats to its existence, an Asian Renaissance was sparked. Knowledge thought lost through the periods of wars was uncovered, Servers embedded in bunkers unlocked and restored. The high speed rail lines that ran throughout the nation were expanded and being repaired, the tunnels from the home islands to the mainland, and through the Ryukyu Islands to Taiwan and onward to Hong Kong, Macau and the mainland were improved, allowing for the mass transit the Imperium required.

Joseon

Busan was built up even further, as the connecting city from the Home Islands to Joseon, the city became swollen with goods from the Imperium's heartland, Incheon as well received a face lift to match Seoul and the rest of the Imperium.

Manchuria

Dalian similarly had been given a face lift, but Interior Manchuria was an endless Industrial wasteland, devoted to producing whatever the Imperium desired.

Reports of new governance upon the mainland began to spread, until they were substantiated it would be treated as mere rumor, though additional surveillance was put into the air to search for more proof.

Aisu-shō

Research, Research, Research, the province was devoted expanding the knowledge of the Imperium in all aspects, Solar Spires began to sprout up, using the power for half the year, and geothermal for the winter time, powering all sorts of less than moral experiments. Additional cities began to appear as well, spreading the population out further, no longer requiring names, merely listed as sectors within the province's internal governance. Sunōichi had become massive by now, fueled by refugees from the other provinces, now with double the population.

Siak Republic

Imperium forces pushed farther into the mainland, clearing out shanty towns and various criminal elements, not all of them of course, only those who did not follow the particular guidelines the government left unspoken, but such organizations were quick to pick up on. They were fairly simple, crimes against civilians to be kept at a minimum, violence to be kept out of public eye, and most importantly, they were Imperium citizens, and would work with police forces to ensure the Imperium remained secure. MH-60 Suterusuhōku were used to move forces rapidly between locations, The Imperium had many cities, and most of them in the Siak Republic had the shanty towns upon the outskirts were the poor lived in squalor in the shadow of the Monuments to humanity the Imperium continued to construct.

Oh, Tokyo, the city was considered the capital of the Imperium, and defacto the capital of Asia, and certainly the capital of the Pacific, Empress Hoshiko had always traveled in the pinnacle of technology. the Mitsubishi Hayabusa would be the Imperium's next generation VIP craft. The Hayabusa was a space plane, able to travel to the moon and hypothetically further, though more research and development may be required for that capability. The first international flight would be to Malta to attend the League of Nations conference.

Joseon

Naro Space Center, once small facility, was now a massive complex, the Imperium Fleet Academy, where the future pilots of the Imperium were trained, smaller craft for now, but larger designs were being recovered from TIkal databases recently uncovered in the Tokyo underground.

I don't have anything to write for Manchuria, so have a gif instead.

Even with the rest of the Imperium returning to its mantle, there was work to be done, the RX-78 designs were proven to be too costly for their capability, a few squads were kept but a cheaper solution was required, this is where the MBAW-42 Jindōshiki o toru came into play, designed as a fire support weapons platform, while not fielding the destructive power of a mobile suit, the military bipedal assault weapon proved to be worth the research cost, carrying a rail gun for anti armor and a chain gun for anti infantry, as well as rockets for anti air capability, it was a walking tank, though the armor performed closer to an MRAP, it carried far more weaponry.

The Imperium's Autonomous Ground Forces were of great use in the building to building fighting Siak required, while having real eyes on the ground was still valued, the cost of a human life over a drone was no contest. Modified UH-60 Burakkunosuri helicopters could swoop in at any moment and drop a squad of drones, the psychological warfare aspect was truly frightening to those who were on the other end of the drone's weaponry.

(Op Rec)

The Imperium had nearly lost the previous war, and improvements to soldier capabilities were required as a force multiplier, they may not outnumber their enemies, but having each of the Imperium's soldiers count for five or more of the enemy soldiers would provide for significant difficulties for potential opponents. Multiple styles of a combat exoskeleton system were designed for special forces with this in mind. The goal was to vastly improve the strength, speed, agility, reflexes and durability of the average soldier.

Assault
assault_specialst__specialists_concept_r
Assault armor is the generic soldier, utilizing a titanium alloy with ceramic composites overlays, the assault variant is designed to be used for the most common of missions, a jack of all trades. Built with C5I in mind, encrypted datalinks ensure on the fly mission adjustment and allow for commanders to have the clearest picture of the battlefield possible, including being able to "look through" any individual armor system.

Marksman
marksman_specialist_by_ianskie1-d5yg15p.
Designed with special ops missions in mind, the marksman variant provides innate drone access, long distance scanners, and is far more lightweight than the assault variant, at a cost of defensive capability, the suit focuses more heavily upon speed and agility, as well as heat mitigation to blend in better with the surroundings, as well as a camoline outer shell allows for near invisibility when still.

Blade Specialist
blade_specialist_by_ianskie1-d66gnhu.png
Sometimes your target will not be near a window, and you require a close up and personal assassin to remove the threat to the Imperium, with that in mind the Sword Specialist suit was designed. Equipped with a silenced SMG in the right arm, and a plasma sword able to cut through nearly anything, the Sword Specialist variant also has a heavy focus on agility, speed, concealment, and silent movement.

Engineer
engineer_specialist_by_ianskie1-d61rfmg.
Engineer suits are by far the most heavily armored, as well as heavily armed. with a XM312 heavy machine gun, they are also the only members of the Imperium able to carry a nuclear weapon, based upon the US W54 nuclear warhead, the engineer variant is designed to operate behind enemy lines, destroying military targets without a heavy cost of life to Imperium citizenry.

Additionally as a stopgap solution for the general population military, Pointman armor was authorized for use in both the marines and army.

Joseon

We haven't discussed Mogar lately, have we? While Tokyo contained the headquarters of the restored MoG[Corp], Seoul was the location of his personal laboratories, The Imperium turned a blind eye towards the less than ethical experiments that took place there due to the advances he had provided to the government, and more importantly to the Empress. New Breeding Halls were made, taking up a dozen of the 140 floors that made up the Seoul MoG[Tower], there were many other goodies within the structure as well, a blend of The Cape, Rapture, Bangkok, and Tripoli Towers, it seemed he had finally perfected the design.

Manchuria

The environment continued to deteriorate, with gas masks being the norm while outside. This led to a strange position for the Police, now having to identify citizens by the microchips within their ID cards, with growing discontent of the poorer side of the population, a law was passed making it mandatory to carry your ID with you at all times. Of course, a new black market was created thanks to the law, allowing citizens with a history with the police to purchase the identity of those with cleaner records, so long as they were of similar size, there was no real way for police to tell who they really were.

Aisu-shō

While officially the city didn't exist, Dōmu Toshi contained the most advanced civilian research laboratory in the Imperium. The city is centered around the large environment simulation dome where many corporations have setup their R&D facilities here. It flourished rapidly despite its remote location, the citizens often have the first access to new public prototype of tech and products. No official designation has been given, and any questions regarding it are ignored by Aisu-shō government officials.

Siak Republic

Singapore finally completed the Weather Dome, Cuaca Bumbung in the local tongue, built over the city, it would no longer rain on the most densely populated island in the world. It had other benefits too, namely the built in missile defense system, and heavy armor to discourage bombing campaigns by potential aggressors.

Singapore had limited space, and the Imperium was not a nation to be discouraged from such facts. Acis Island, was one of the many Riau Islands dotting the Singapore Straits. Acis Island would contain the Umbrella Corporation new headquarters. The new construction would be the first of many upon the Riau Islands.

Pacific Islands

Not forgotten by the Imperium, the Pacific islands had undergone a massive transformation over the past decade, becoming more urbanized even with their tiny amount of land. The process was natural due to the devastation of the Canton and Taiwan province, whether or not it became permanent remained to be seen.

With the Imperium's jails designed with lesser criminals in mind, several key figures of their former enemies had to be kept isolated, rather than waste space in normal jails with them, the decision was made just after the wars ended to construct a new jail, using the greatest technology available to the Imperium. Kyūkyoku no saidai keimusho was the ultimate in technological advancements, laser fences, security drones, 24/7 monitoring of prisoners with neuroimaging, heatbeats, breathing rates. every single aspect of the prisoner was able to be monitored in a controlled environment.

Joseon

Unlike Manchuria, Joseon was environmentally conscious, and realizing the need to heal the damage began to seed rainclouds, once the government realized how effective it was at getting pollutants out of the air, the process was begun across the Imperium, assisting in the decontamination of Manchuria and Canton.

Manchuria

The province's vital mining industry continued to be expanded, new technology had been researched and now the fruits of the labor were paying off, MMS-04 could enhance a single miner's productivity by over 600%, allowing for far greater outputs.

Aisu-shō

The Imperium was creative in its construction projects, and the Aleutians were no exception to this. The Commander Islands were all the Imperium controlled for now, but regular reconnaissance of the rest of the island chain was part of the military duties in the Ice Provinces. In the mean time, there was over a hundred million Chinese who were displaced from the war, and constructing new cities for them to live was of the highest priority. Thus the City of Eden was created. The Zaibatsu funded the city's construction, touting it as a living example of the Imperium's advancements, a billboard to the rest of the world of what the Imperium could provide for them in both an architectural and technological sense.

Located in the center of the city was the Future Horizons Tower, a new corporation dealing exclusively in construction, it had managed to undercut even the Zaibatsu's construction companies for their own projects, and the finished city was beyond expectations. The Tower contained a large amount of hydroponics facilities enough to feed the entire planned city of 250,000.

Siak Republic

Autonomous ground forces were now standard within the Police, patrolling as regular policemen would, but far cheaper in the long run, Singapore and the surrounding areas would serve as a beta test, if they could manage the job without any serious glitches the program would be expanded to the rest of the Imperium.

Taiwan

Taipei had returned to its former glory, the city's bay now home to shopping centers and stadiums, the secondary capital of the Imperium had returned to its proper place.

Pacific Islands

More and more of the tiny islands were transformed, cities could be constructed everywhere it seemed, though these were much more environmentally conscious than the mainland, complimenting the surroundings, not simply overtaking them.

Kazuko stood in the observatory, a holographic representation of Terra stood in the center of the room, overtaking any other attempt to grab onto her attention. She had been there for almost an hour listening to one of the lead scientists of the space program explaining the next phase. The Bifröst Project had succeeded, and while their lands were not ideal for such creations, they had managed to make several successful bridges. Of course, the earth based project was the easiest, the next step required funding, and for that Kazuko had realized the upper echelons of Imperium society could be tapped into to pay for further exploration. The capital from reservations would help fund the Imperiums Phoenix Station. A design originally created by Tikal, the Imperium would require at least one of its own to begin the search for the rest that lay in the Aether.

"...and this is the most ideal position for the new station, it can serve as a gateway to the moon and from there, we can follow in their footsteps. There may still be plenty of their own space stations remaining in orbit, it will simply be a process of locating them and restoring their populations. We're still not certain what happened, but the majority of simulations we have run such event is unlikely to have traveled beyond the asteroid belt. We predict there will be some trace of them out there."

She simply nodded and stared at the hologram, they would receive whatever funding they required, Tikal may have been gone but not forgotten. The Imperium would follow them to the edge of space.

Aisu-shō

Testing continued of experimental weapons, tanks with the ability to walk over treaded designs were sought, to be employed in the harsh northern wastelands. They would still keep some ability to use treads, as mobility was always a concern for the 40 ton or more weapon platforms. Several dozen squads were kept testing the new designs, eventually they would find one that meshed well with the soldiers.

Taiwan

The island had worked had to serve as a hub for the Imperium's culture, and soon realized that it had to build up Taipei in order to sustain the growing tourist populations, multilevel war the norm for construction, with a minimum of three tiers throughout the city. Built spaced out, it made the city seem endless.

Kyoto, like the rest of Japan had been restored, no amount of bombing could destroy the Imperium's willpower. While not as built up as Tokyo, the alternate capital of Japan still held many superscrapers, and was treated as an alternate capital should be.

Osaka had also been brought up to Imperium living standards, and served as a shopping hub for most of the Imperium, the high speed rail system allowed for cities to specialize and still hold major customer bases.

Nagoya was probably the closest thing to early 21st century Japan you could still locate within the Imperium, the city held one of the Imperial Regalia of Japan, and was treated with a great deal of respect by the Imperium government. The decision to keep the city looking "old" was made by the Empress, wanting to preserve some of what most people pictured when they thought of Japan.

Joseon

Joseon used many more cars than average for the Imperium, and would serve as a testing ground for the Advanced Highway System the Imperium had come up with. LEDs would light up the lanes, and help direct traffic more naturally. The lanes were designed for traffic to travel in excess of 220 km/h, and with holographic signs, the solar powered LED lane indicators, and automated collision prevention standard in vehicles, it was likely to be a speed limit of 200 km/h.

Manchuria

Ignored for too long, the northern wastes that had once been called the Steppe finally would begin to see restoration, the Imperium had spent long enough focused inward, now was the time to expand inwards, and some effort was put into restoring the environment to at least a manageable level, it was unlikely that the trillions it would cost to turn former Uriankhai into healthy land once more, but convincing the Empress to even agree to such a task. Cities to house the millions displaced by war and the bombardment of Canton however were a reasonable expense, and something they would manage faster than most nations could hope to. Future Horizons was able to construct wonders in a matter of years that would normally take decades.

The land was harsh, Kyanion-shi, Canyon Cities, were tested in the Changbai Mountains, while in official documents given to the Empress they were merely testing the Imperium's ability to construct in any environment, the reality was they were being used as a test to see if the Imperium could eventually take Eastern Uriankhai, the former Amur Republic into its fold. The Empress was easy to convince of expansion, but the Uriankhai regions in her perspective should be punished for not simply supporting one hostile regime, but two. Kazuko did not dictate all that the Imperium did, plenty of others had their own levels of power, and would use it to further cement their grip, and perhaps expand their power if possible..

Taiwan

Football. Or Soccer as the Americans like to call it. The world's most popular sport, due to the fact all you need is a ball and you can play. Taipei due to its central location would serve as a great location for interprovincial matches, a rare allowance of nationalism, though more friendly than previous interactions between the former nations that once stood where the Imperium was strong.

Taipei Stadium would serve as a center of the Imperium Football League. and as a basis for future stadiums constructed within the Imperium.

“The world isn’t divided into the special and the ordinary. Everyone has the potential to be extraordinary. As long as you have a soul and free will, you can be anything, do anything, choose anything.”

The Imperium was a strange place to outsiders, the paradox of so many cultures under one banner, all of which had long and colorful histories with each other was difficult to understand. Worse yet was the government, while there was some level of democracy in every province, the application was vastly different. Singapore voted by the companies it chose to support, Hong Kong was essentially a direct democracy, Japan was similar to its late 20th century representative democracy. The North was run by researchers and scientists, and yet they all had a voice in the governance of the Imperium overall.

Most strange though, was the economy, the Imperium churned out everything it possible could, pharmaceuticals and civilian technologies were the easiest to export, the technological advancements created in Aisu-shō translated into trillions for the Imperium's GDP. Weapons were always a decent percentage of the production but the transition to Aerospace went smoother than expected, factories that produced aircraft began producing spacecraft instead. The Imperium's economy was only limited by one thing, resources.

Kazuko sat in yet another meeting, the METI minister was droning on about that very problem, bringing up a holographic image of Asia. There were many resources in the Shiberian territories, but there was the new russian nation that had been quiet so far, whether or not the Imperium could simply walk in and begin sapping the region for resources remained to be seen. While he continued to discuss the problem her mind wandered to the dragon in the room. What would Shanghai do once the Imperium expanded its border with them even further?

She had mixed feelings about them, their leadership had cooperated with her several times, but they had also allowed the Uriankhai threat to continue, and worse yet, somehow allowed the Tianxian rebellion to become an actual problem. If she had been in charge of Shanghai such an event would have been tactically nuked out of existence. She supposed that was what happened anyway, but it was a much longer fight than it had to be and their unwillingness to proactively prevent such occurrences is what made the Asian theater so difficult. The fact their leadership was not human was another thing that bothered her, but she shook her head and went back to listening to the meeting, the Imperium's appetite would be sated one way or another, it had to be.

Joseon

The Imperium was a strange form of capitalism, but Joseon was a spectacular example of it. Jeong Yi stood on one of the many skyscrapers in Seoul, while nowhere near the highest, it was the one he lived in, none of the buildings allowed smoking, for health reasons of course. The irony of passing a law banning smoking inside but allowing Manchuria to be a toxic wasteland was not lost upon him as he exhaled the smoke, looking through the city. He was new money, having made a killing with his construction company, they had managed to edge out even the Zaibatsu, and he was just getting started.

Manchuria

The province had its share of problems, but thankfully technology made squashing such things far easier. Separatists were planning a meeting organizing to begin a series of protests to shut down manufacturing within the province as far and as wide as possible, wishing to give the province the same wealth Joseon and Japan had enjoyed. They were sucking the very life out of Manchuria, using them as slaves to fuel their growth while Manchuria was left behind. Of course, the Manchurian government since the war did not feel the same way, those in power were profiting even moreso than the Japanese or Joseonese were, and if it required the rest of the province to suffer, so be it.

Special Police were dispatched to the factory chosen as the meeting place a few minutes after it had begun. While officially their orders were to detain everyone and minimize casualties, there would be very few survivors, the leader was captured alive, he would serve useful in the coming weeks. the public story was an industrial accident took place in the factory, killing several hundred union reps that were having a meeting there from all across Manchuria. There were many who were suspicious, but there wasn't any evidence to disprove the official story.

Canton and Taiwan

The traitor province had suffered much without the Imperium's coffers to rebuild, they had elected separatist governments for the past decade out of spite, but this had left the province broke, and the Imperium Banks were their main source of credit. The most recent elections were the first in which a reconcilary government was chosen by the people, it was hoped that through a series of meetings with the Taiwan government, and perhaps even the Empress, they would work out their grievances and begin to return to a loyal province under the Imperium's prosperous umbrella.

Siak Republic

The line between the rich and the poor continued in Singapore. There were far more Indian refugees on the island, and the rest of the republic, but the Imperium adapted, as it always had. The corporations upon the island continued to feed off their employees, and tensions were rising, all that was needed was a spark.

It took several months of constant bifrost launches in order to complete, but the Imperium Moon Base was finally open for business. The massive facility contained rows of solar panels to compliment the fusion reactor that would provide power for the mining operations that were planned, Helium 3 was in wide supply upon the lunar surface, at least larger than that of the Earth. The Gas Giants had the largest supplies but that would require finding contact with Tikal again, or at least recovering their more advanced space technology. The next time was coming up with a way to reliably mine H3.

Aisu-shō

One of the more unique experiments, the Imperium's second spacefighter was created. Internally it was called the SF-01 Inazuma, the craft was designed with both atmospheric and space flight in mind, to allow for the Imperium to strike with a squadron of the stealth design anywhere in the globe within 60 minutes. Of course, it needed to be tested extensively before then, but the first few tests proved the design well enough to allow for more advanced testing scenarios.

Kazuko was training against one of her personal guard when one of her maidens brought in a new toy, the Howaitōrufu. The Howaitōrufu was PDW with high velocity armor piercing rounds, able to penetrate nearly any traditional armor, and as accurate as you could make a PDW. the weapon looked interesting so she decided to take it for a test, setting up a row of apples along a table that normally held beverages for after her workouts, she strolled away, getting about 50 meters away before taking aim.

The sight was experimental, able to "tag" its targets, by simply holding down the trigger the gun would only fire when the crosshairs were over one of the tagged targets, minimizing ammo consumption. She tagged the fruit and then swung the weapon in a 90° arc to test out the new feature. 3 rounds went into each apple and into nothing else besides the concrete wall behind the table after passing through the apples, leaving large impact craters, Her sparring partner stood let out a sigh of relief that he did not gain any additional orifices.

She smiled, "Excellent work, bring this to the special forces, I am sure they'd like to run their own tests, I would like one for my own personal use."

Joseon

The Joseonese Soccer Stadium was completed, Samsung Stadium would be the largest in the country, able to seat over 100,000 people.

Hong Kong

Having finally completed its rebuilding, Hong Kong was truly one of the most beautiful sights in the world. Hong Kong Harbor reflected the holographic advertising and neon signs that dotting the buildings all through the city.

Canton and Taiwan

While finding the funding from the Imperium to provide for a full recovery of Canton was impossible at the moment, the Taiwanese government stepped in to do so. The recovery of Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Amoy, and Fuzhou would be given priority, as well as continued high level talks between the two provinces government on whether or not the population would even accept a return to the Imperium.

OOC: This post took place Emperor Jesse's office just before Jake and Adria left for Druk Yul.

"So Jesse I am sure you have heard of these new cybernetic augmentations the Japanese are doing?"

"Yes Jake I have and I can see the many similarities they have with the dragons. All they are missing at this point are the tail and wings."

"Think we should be worried if they start doing stuff like this for their troops?"

"I think they are already past that point Jake and no I am not worried at all. This may give them enhanced abilities but it still would not be enough if they ever went up against one of us. For now just continue to focus on our current problems with the remnents of Henry's forces and don't worry about this unless the need arises."

"You got it."

Several more locations upon Hokkaido were taken over by the military, and cordoned off from the public eye. The Imperium Women's Warfare Academy was the most successful prewar project the Imperium had begun, the soldiers trained there were the fiercest fighters among the Imperium special forces, even having been the ones to locate and capture the Tianxian leaders, ensuring there would be none left of their bloodline free in this world. Under Empress Hoshiko's orders the program would be massively expanded, with the training upgraded to account for the Imperium's new technologies, and allow for even more pure and reliable fighters.

Aisu-shō

The province had long since been fully explored and exploited, and yet, there was more to do. Amur, Magadan, Khabarovsk, Primorsky and Chukotka would begin to have drone surveillance, and satellite reconnaissance to seek out additional sources of resources for exploitation, notably rare earth metals. The population would be left alone for now.

Manchuria

The same process would begin in Jilin, Heilongjiang, and eastern parts of outer Manchuria, with consideration for the Shanghai border. Unlike in Aisu-shō, this would be financed by the Manchurian government and kept off the official records that were transmitted to Japan. Her Imperial Majesty had no interest in assisting the peoples who rose up against her a decade ago, the subject would have to be approached delicately, else Empress Hoshiko may consider them to be traitors to the Imperium.
As per usual a conversation occurred between Ascension Cybernetics and METI, due to Arms Export laws, it would take several days for a reply to be sent to Druk Yul, due to cabinet discussions regarding the subject.

:Private Reply to Druk Yul:

A representative will be dispatched to study the subject in question, though we do not promise we can provide assistance as heavy modification of our designs will be a lengthy and expensive process, and may not be feasible with our current technology depending on how atypical of anatomy the subject may have.

Results were positive, and engagement with local communities would begin to incorporate them into the unique government style of Aisu-shō.

Amur held the Garin iron deposit, already being exploited by the local population, and further investigation revealed Amur would provide a substantial amount of natural resources, measuring iron in the billions of tons. More importantly to the Imperium's economy was the amount of titanium in the province, and special attention was paid to investing in the exploitation of any stores located.

Magaden as well contained rich stores of Gold and would be exploited using the Imperium's advanced mining techniques.

Khabarovsk was the most industrialized of the new provinces and its manufacturing and refining capabilities would begin the transition to producing Imperium goods, refinement would not take much effort, but the manufacturing would be a process, since the Imperium had not used any of the machinery in the Khabarovsk factories for decades.

Primorsky was the most balanced of the expansion economically, and while its fields had been heavily damaged thanks to the prolonged conflict, techniques used in Joseon and Siak would be used to bring the soil back to its ability, plans were set into motion to allow Primorsky to become the bread basket of Aisu-shō.

Chukotka held  large reserves of oil, natural gas, coal, gold, and tungsten, but quite simply did not have the population required to exploit them properly. Imperium citizens would be imported to take up the task, a new set of tax breaks and incentives were authorized by Crown Prince Katsuro, not that the public realized the Prince had taken over governing duties while his mother was distracted.

OOC: Amur, Magadan, Khabarovsk, Primorsky and Chukotka 1/7

Manchuria

Unlike in Aisu-shō, this the Manchurian expansion had to be handled delicately, the provinces being expanded into were strongholds of the opponents of the last war, and discontent was to be expected. Unlike Hoshiko, Katsuro sent an order to the Manchurian government to begin an expansion process. the Mongolians and the pretenders to the Dragon Throne may have desired fracturing the Imperium, but he had no desire to continue to let his mother's anger harm the Imperium, there was resources and populations in the region, and they would need all they could exploit in the coming years.

Jilin shared a border with Joseon and Manchuria, and was a natural choice to begin the expansion, the province was industrialized and had large reserves of oil, gas, coal, iron mine, nickel, molybdenum, talc, graphite, gypsum, cement rock, gold and silver. The oil was mostly shale and would not be exploited, traditional oil reserves however would, the Imperium's Strategic Oil Reserve had been depleted thanks to the Great War, and recovery was a slow process due to the Middle East and Africa collapsing.

Heilongjiang as well held significant supplies of coal, petroleum, and lumber, the large population would be useful in manufacturing, and capabilities would be gradually increased with Liaoning assistance.

Inner Mongolia would receive the largest military intervention, the province contained the largest supplies of rare earth elements, but also maintained a sizable population that would not be so forgiving of the Imperium's nuclear bombardment of the territory when it was under Mongolian control. Katsuro had considered this and simply did not give them a choice, Imperium Type 10 tanks and Type 89 IFVs would be the spearhead into the region, followed by 75,000 troops to restore order to the province, governments would be contacted and the process of blackmailing them into submission would begin, they may not like the Imperium, but their choices were kept limited. Weapons Caches were searched for and destroyed whenever possible, further limited the ability for revolts.

OOC: Jilin, Heilongjiang, and eastern parts of inner Mongolia 1/7

Canton

Like in Manchuria, Hoshiko was no longer providing the final say of governance of the Imperium, and Katsuro took the chance to recover Canton while his mother was distracted by the events in France. It was a horrifying experience, but he had not known the woman so he was far more detached from it than his mother, and being raised during a global war, death was merely another stage of life to him. The world would not stop due to one person's death, and the Imperium required decisive and calculated leadership. Canton was nearly 1/5th of the Imperium's GDP before the war, while it was not expected to return to this figure immediately, it had proven itself to be beneficial regardless of the racial ploys that had occurred during the war.

Guangdong was the highest priority, with Taiwan, Macau, Hong Kong, Manchuria, and Hainan providing the capital to begin restoration of the province's manufacturing capabilities, it would take several years but it would become the mainland bastion it once was.

Fujian would receive an economic boon from the Taipei-Fuzhou rail line bringing in hundreds of thousands of Taiwanese wanting to visit family and experience mainland life. Like Guangdong, the other Chinese provinces of the Imperium would provide economic assistance in the restoration of the high technology manufacturing capabilities of the province.

Guangxi was still devastated, the population was low, and incentives were created to push citizens into moving there to assist in restoring the Guangxi mineral exploitation projects.

There was still work to be done, peace was never everlasting, Katsuro had studied both the Imperium's military advances as well as historical advantages such technologies had afforded, the differences between 4th and 5th Generation aircraft was incredibly, and 5.5 Generation or even 6th aircraft would be required if the Imperium wished to keep it's technological dominance it had begun. With Tikal collapsed, the Imperium's technology gap. There were numerous designs of course, Katsuro had discussed the issue at length with the cabinet and the agreed upon design was a 5th generation Bomber based upon the Tu-160, the design would be called AB-1 Tsukinowaguma, to be used as a stop gap while 6th generation concepts were considered.

Aisu-shō

Amur's capital, Blagoveshchensk would be the first priority of control, holding over a quarter of the province's population, ensuring either cooperation or submission would be required for the region to be fully integrated. While the Imperium touch was light within the Aisu-shō, a few citizens would notice drones over the city, and the internet became slightly slower as the Imperium set up firewalls and filters to observe the population's chatter. Additionally, Several of the Nisshoku systems were sent to the city, under the guise of assisting the local police forces. In reality they were there to locate and track any instigators of protests deemed too hostile towards the Imperium.

There were protests against the idea of incorporation into the Imperium, most arguments based on the belief the Imperium was responsible for the war that had ravaged the Russian Far East, the majority of the population however, recalled vividly their treatment by the Uriankhai, ethnic Russians were slaves to them, and the Imperium came with the offer of a better life than they had been living.

Magaden was similar, except without any protests, it was business as usual besides the fact they now had gainful employment, The Imperium desired the port city that also held almost half its population so negotiations would begin to incorporate it into Aisu-shō's governing style, in which those in leadership of the province's main industries would become the decision makers. The idea was welcomed by the ethnic Russian population that made up 90% of the region, due to their own recollection of treatment by the Uriankhai regime. Of course, mineral exploitation would begin as quickly as possible...

Khabarovsk was part of the reoccurring theme of the capital containing nearly half the population of the province, it had long cooperated with Sakhalin, and the rail tunnel from Sakhalin to Khabarovsk and connect to the Trans-Siberian Rail was restored and would be a source of employment for the population. Similar to Magaden it would not have significant problems with joining the Imperium due to their treatment at the hands of the former regimes.

Primorsky broke from the rest of the locations by not having it's capital share the same name as the province. Vladivostok had cooperated with Joseon and the Imperium for trade for almost a decade, and it would be welcoming to the idea of joining the Imperium, however the governor wished to meet with the leader of the Imperium to personally discuss this future. Arrangements were made.

Chukotka, with it's 50,000 people would barely notice a change, the few parts of civilization that existed had been working with Aisu-shō already and had not seen a national level government for over three decades, it was hoped the Imperium would bring wealth to the poorest of the provinces being annexed.

OOC: Amur, Magadan, Khabarovsk, Primorsky and Chukotka 2/7

Manchuria

Jilin was the easiest of the three to begin to incorporate into Manchuria, being immediately next to Liaoning, there was already a close relationship built up, and while the government had reservations of their beautiful lands be tainted by the wanton pollution that had occurred within Liaoning, mysteriously these grievances quickly disappeared, as did those who continued to make such claims several weeks later.

Heilongjiang's Daqing Oil Field was further explored and an additional 7 billion barrels were discovered, it was hoped that through modern techniques the Imperium would not be as wasteful as the Communist government was when the field was first located.

Inner Mongolia was provided with multiple incentives as well as soil recovery technology used in Joseon to restore the wealth of arable land the province held, Wheat, Grapes and Winerys, as well as animal production would be prioritized. Protests had risen, the Mongolian population still had valid anger against the Imperium, but Nisshoku systems would be used to black out cellular communication among protesters, and internet traffic was monitored, the local police afforded the most advanced technologies that the Imperium, and protests would be dispersed. After several weeks they began to accept the new way of life, for now.

Canton

Guangdong began talks of the potential of the South China provinces united with Taiwan and Hainan as reconstruction and restoration of Shenzhen and Guangzhou continued at a rapid pace. Future Horizons continued to grow as it got more and more contracts to build cities across Canton.

Fujian contemplated the construction of a second rail tunnel, from the southern end of Taiwan to Xiamen, it would be costly of course, but the cut back on air travel would save the environment, and while not discussed in the media much, the widespread pollution in Manchuria gave the rest of the Imperium a desire to remain as environmental as possible.

Guangxi continued to be exploited, local governments worked with Taiwanese leadership to integrate and provide for what was needed within the province, it would be a lengthy process but they were once Imperium citizens, and they would be once more.

The Crown Prince began his meeting with Samuil Lagunov, the current governor of what was intended to be southern Aisu-shō. It had turned out they agreed upon much as to how to maintain order and stability during the transitional period. Mr. Lagunov had a motive to being so agreeable though, at the end of the meeting he had brought up the idea of maintaining the region as separate from both Manchuria and Aisu-shō. Amur, Primorsky and Khabarovsk would be maintained as it's own unique identity, the idea was interesting and discussions would continue regarding the idea.

Aisu-shō

Amur would see the Zeiskaya electric dam restored, with Imperium corporations entering bids to whom will expand the location with new turbines to allow for more efficient and expanded production of power for all of the russian provinces. The uranium mines, ironically the sites where the first nuclear weapons to be used against the Imperium so many years ago, would be exploited and the material used for energy production in other provinces.

Magaden had several vertical farms constructed within the capital, to help in the province's inability to self sustain, it would not be enough by themselves but would be of great assistance due to the fact there were no seasons for vertical farming, so long as there was power food would be growing.

Khabarovsk would see the high speed rail lines of the Imperium extended to it, the trans-Siberian railway may use old world technology, but the Imperium had no interest in 20th century transport.

Primorsky would see massive changes, if Vladivostok would be an Imperium capital it had to look and feel the part, widespread construction began, the city's soul itself would change.

Chukotka continued exploration for resources, Chinese and Japanese made up the majority of the population now, and the numbers would continue to be skewed as the Imperium was unconcerned with anything but extraction.

Jewish Autonomous Oblast was not forgotten, but would be handled delicately, the process would begin to bring the infrastructure up to the Imperium's standards, but otherwise would be left alone.

OOC: Amur, Magadan, Khabarovsk, Primorsky and Chukotka 3/7 Jewish Oblast 1/7

Manchuria

Jilin had its construction continue, the concept of a Republic of China had a positive reaction from the population and with the Crown Prince making the decisions the idea was quickly allowed to spread. The long term results would not be what he expected however.

Heilongjiang would have several special economic zones set up, to industrialize the region similar to Liaoning, the goal would be to increase the GDP significantly and provide for far more long term jobs.

Inner Mongolia was the hardest area to bring up to Imperium Standards, the distances making fiber lines more difficult than the rest of the Imperium but it would continue to do so, if they were to be Imperium citizens they required all of the benefits that came with that.

OOC: Jilin, Heilongjiang, and eastern parts of inner Mongolia 3/7

Canton

Guangdong continued construction of its cities, bringing them back to the Imperium's requirements, having been heavily damaged in the last war, they were closer to the China of the 1990s as opposed to the hypermodern style of the Imperium.

Fujian began construction on a second rail line, as well as renovations to the cities still left in want for the past decade, if they were to be a part of the Imperium once more, they would have to look like Imperium cities once more.

Guangxi would begin soil recovery projects to restore the arable land, though more focus was still upon the mineral wealth, factories would begin to produce goods once more.

Aisu-shō

Amur, Khabarovsk, and Primorsky would become the region of Vladivostok Economic Zone, to be ruled by Samuil Lagunov as regent for the Imperium. Construction and recovery efforts would continue as planned.

Chukotka and Magaden would continue mineral exploitation and remain as part of Aisu-shō as expected, the wealth in the area was vast, it was just a matter of reaching it and having the bodies to extract it.

Jewish Autonomous Oblast continued to be brought up to standards, discussions were begun to continue the traditions of the Imperium to include yiddish as an official language, but the number of jews remaining in the area was rather small.

OOC: Amur, Magadan, Khabarovsk, Primorsky and Chukotka 4/7 Jewish Oblast 2/7

Manchuria

Jilin continued to be built up, to be used as a new industrial base, the progress was not as fast as the Crown Prince would have liked, but building entirely new industrial facilities took time.

Heilongjiang would be connected to the VEZ on as many places as possible, with a message of unity between chinese and russians subtly being used upon the local media.

Inner Mongolia was also connected to the VEZ, the message changed to promote unity between mongols and chinese, but this was a losing battle for the Imperium and the Crown Princes inexperience was beginning to show.

Canton

Guangdong and Fujian were already once part of the Imperium, it was just a matter of rebuilding which continued as a brisk pace.

Guangxi was not being built up but the war had heavily damaged a number of the mining sites, making progress slow.

Katsuro still enjoyed his own Palace, Tokyo was overwhelming, and the city lights just ruined the night sky.

Chinese and Japanese now both outnumbered ethnic Russians in the region, all three groups working towards constructing a better Aisu-shō. The lessons learned in Kamchatka were applied to the other two regions, construction techniques provided for more settlements, unlike what was happening in Manchuria or VAZE, Aisu-shō was merely an extension of the Kamchatka province, its settlements would all be linked and new research stations set up, ensuring any accidents would not harm other settlements.

Vladivostok Autonomous Zone for Economic Growth(VAZE)

It took several weeks, but once it was announced that they would keep their Russian identity, Khabarovsk went back to normalcy for the most part. The military industrial complex of the region merely became integrated into the Imperiums. Timber from Amur became a hot commodity, while the Imperium was entirely electronic, paper always found a use, books and hard copies of sensitive data were the most common use, with sustainable tree farms being created in the wake of the woodcutting Gold deposits would continue to be searched for and exploited when possible in Amur. Primorsky would see both the most changes and the least, in a way. Having already shared a close border with the Imperium the only real difference was the sight of the ethnic Japanese, Korean, and Chinese, now assisting in manufacturing capabilities within the province. OTH-B/SW systems would begin to be constructed, to keep a watchful eye upon the silent western neighbor, and Shanghai to the south.

OOC: Amur, Khabarovsk, Primorsky 5/7 Jewish Oblast 3/7

Manchuria

It was business as usual for the Manchurian government, the construction projects across the region continued, and the ethnic chinese population reacted positively to the idea of a united China once more, unlike the russian regions Liaoning was well established and it was clear the Imperium was able to protect its land if needed, discontent was low in the province, as the time came closer to hold a formal vote.

OOC: Jilin, Heilongjiang, and eastern parts of inner Mongolia 5/7

Canton

A similar story was told in Canton, with the influx of cash from the surrounding Imperium holdings, the population was more than ready to rejoin their brethren, what type of government they would vote for however, was unclear.

Merely a formality, due to the low population of the areas and the influx of Imperium citizens ensuring the result would be what was desired, numerous pollsters were sent to the province to begin setting up for elections to be held to officially incorporate Magaden and Chukotka to the Imperium.

One of the most important aspects of VAZE was it's siberian tiger population, programs were put into place to ensure the native habitats were preserved and samples of the species would be taken to begin a process of cloning and reintroduction to further territory. Vladivostok was changing, getting a more appropriate aesthetic. The rest of the province was mostly kept as is, the wildlife and resources were more important than the few people who lived away from the coastline.

OOC: Amur, Khabarovsk, Primorsky 6/7 Jewish Oblast 4/7

Manchuria

The Manchurian provinces as well would begin the process of holding elections, these ones far easier due to the centralized population centers. The vote was expected to be a positive result due to the widespread belief of a unified China once more, nationalism within chinese was on the rise.

South China would begin the vote to rejoin with Taiwan. special effort was put into the media in the region, focusing on the Imperium's brave fight against the Tianxian and Urankhai rebels, and how the Imperium fought to preserve the population's freedom, glossing over that they were abandoned once the Imperium was unable to push their opponents out of the region.

The F-22 Lightning design was the best air superiority, there was no argument over this fact, but the collapse of the United State and widespread knowledge of the airframe had meant the Imperium would merely be on equal footing with most potential opponents. Peace had reigned for over a decade and during that time the Imperium had continued research into a new air superiority fighter.

One of the most fascinating projects Japan had begun before the global collapse so many years ago was the Mitsubishi ATD-X Shinshin, Japan had been kept limited with military technology since the end of World War 2, with even the idea of owning helicopter carriers a source of controversy. While the ATD-X never made it to production, Japan and by extension the Imperium learned much from the aircraft design.

The answer to this of course was a new indigenous airframe. The ASF-X Shinden II (Glorious Lightning) was the answer to the Imperium's desires. a 6th generation aircraft, the Shinden II was a natural evolution of the Shinshin design, with knowledge learned from the failures of the F-35 Lightning II design. The Shinden II has a variable airframe that provides stable flight performance at any speed, making it ideal for a variety of missions such as attacking hostile fleets in territorial waters, engaging enemies attempting to land, and providing support during mountain defense operations. Boasting a variable, forward swept wing configuration, its outstanding maneuverability provides excellent close-range combat abilities. It has a unique two-tiered engine, allowing it to be a VTOL aircraft as well. While the Shinshin was never able to become the F-3, the Shinden II would instead take that honor.

While the airframe technology was based heavily upon 5th generation designs, the high efficiency turbofan engine with thrust vectoring allowed it to outperform F-22s in both agility and top speed(at altitude, Mach 2.44, and Mach 2.1 Supercruise). Of course, merely outperforming another 5th generation aircraft was not the sole requirement to a 6th generation airframe, Artifical Intelligence systems were a major aspect of the Shinden II, allowing for inhuman reaction speeds during combat situations. PNT and an advanced encryption system allowed for massive wireless transfer of data between aircraft without a concern for enemy pickup.

Alongside the Shinden II, the MQ-90 Shinigami was developed, the massive data transfer capability of the Shinden II was designed with the Shinigami in mind, every Shinden II would have the capability to have up to 16 Shinigami slaved to its systems, allowing for a huge jump in the Shinden II's Radar range and combat ability. though currently only armed with a GAU-19/A and several AAMs, a Tactical Laser System was being designed with the UAV in mind, providing the Imperium with a highly mobile missile defense capability, as well as a devastating weapon against enemy aircraft.

OOC: my exchanges will be in brackets.

F-3A Shinden II (CTOL), [Replacing 108 Raptors]
F-3B Shinden II (STOVL), [Replacing 108 Land based F/A-18s]

Aisu-shō

The arctic region had no issues joining in the Imperium as part of Aisu-shō, the massive economic growth shown by Kamchatka did not go unnoticed by their neighbors, so the vote went smoothly, and the Imperium added another half a million to its citizenry, the changes would be slow within the provinces, but the wealth of their provinces would afford them with the living standards that the Imperium had come to be known by globally, the most advanced technology and the fastest internet capabilities. While it would take some time to catch up to the Sunōichi, but progress was always slow in the Siberian wastes.

Vladivostok Autonomous Zone for Economic Growth

The capital had undergone massive changes over the past months, it would begin to look like an Imperium city, while not as heavily neoned and aggressively constructed, the muted look felt right for Vladivostok. The Jewish Oblast continued to be brought up to speed, with a project designed to bring the VAZE into the Imperium proper, a bridge connecting Nizhneleninskoye in the Jewish Autonomous Oblast with Tongjiang in Heilongjiang Province. The Provinces voted successfully to be brought into the Imperium, and would continue to be brought up to the standards the Imperium had believed its citizenry desired. The government was officially a Republic, but in reality the province behaved more like an Oligarchy. The population of course would not notice the change immediately.

Manchuria

The vote was a success, the population that wished to demonstrate against the Imperium found communication difficult, having not realized their communications were being monitored. Reporting on the subject was incredibly difficult, since the Imperium controlled the airwaves and the internet. Jilin and Heilongjiang became cleaner versions of Liaoning, Industrial parks constructed rapidly in areas deemed safe. The population for the most part was kept content with well paying jobs. Those who were not happy would learn to be, since the Imperium was going nowhere. In Inner Mongolia however, there were scattered reports of armed rebellion. Katsuro normally would not have cared, but due to their close proximity to the border with Shanghai, ordered an investigation into the area.

Canton

The Imperium would regain it's southern chinese provinces. The region was welcomed back with large amounts of Imperium funding now officially flowing into the region, aiding further in the reconstruction efforts. It was decided to recover as much as possible to prewar aesthetics with minor changes to account for the more environmentally conscious population. Guangzhou, capital of the province, would become almost unrecognizable, walls of glass and steel rising thousands of feet into the sky. Fuzhou as well would experience a dramatic change in its aesthetic, returning to the unique beauty of Imperium Architecture. Guangxi was unlucky in that regard, but the wealth being taken from the province more than made up for it, those who held power in Guangxi were quite content with the status quo being created.

All in all, it was back to normalcy, the Imperium would not forget Canton's betrayal, but it was hoped the people who lived there would forget they once helped rise up against the Imperium.
