In an effort to finally improve relations with Alvonia, the parliament today, by a slim margin, has passed a resolution allowing for up to 2000 visas and passports to be issued to Alvonian citizens and soldiers who have family in Burgenland, so that they may enter Burgenland for up to a month.

The only restrictions are that they cannot bring guns or ammo into Burgenland, and cannot have any felonies on their record.

*The Deputy Foreign Minister, Nikola Detar, would greet Lord Adam in his Foreign Ministry office, while the Foreign Affairs Minister was out of the country.*

"Welcome to Budapest, Lord Adam, and thank you for the kind gift.  May I offer you some chilled water or hot coffee while you are here?"

"You certainly may, here is my Royal Warrant empowering to serve as the Ambassador to Hungary," replies Lord Adam as he slides the thick leather parchment over the table. He's somewhat grateful that he didn't have to lug along a huge shield with the Royal Warrant etched into the face of it like his colleague to Greece had to. Rule #1 in regards to the King, he takes jokes and off hand comments very literally, make them at your own peril.

*Elections have been held, and Prime Minister Beres has retained his office of Prime Minister.  Elections pretty much retained the status quo of the parliament, with the only changes of note being that the capitalists party picked up 12 more seats, at the expense of the monroe party which lost 12 seats.*

Classified

With growing aggression and unrest taking place close to several Hungary-Slovakian borders, military and intelligence officials have made their cases to Prime Minister Beres and the Parliament that the time has come to increase intelligence measures for the sake of Hungary-Slovakia's security.

The Parliament has agreed with these officials assessments, and has passed an authorization allowing for the research, developement, and usage of un-manned drones and several inelligence satellites.

These new drones will most likely be deployed in the Hungary-Slovakia's Supcarpathian region, as well as in Poland, to help locate and gather intelligence on the Polish State rebels/militants/terrorists, as well as to help current Hungarian forces in Poland with the hunting down and elimination of said militants and terrorists.

With the violence in Poland not showing much sign of easing, Hungary-Slovakia would send an additional 14,000 troops into Poland.

They would be stationed in five currently unused military bases in southern Poland-- one in Lesser Poland, one in Opole, one in Silesian, one in Lower Silesian, and one in Świętokrzyskie --  and would mainly be used for recon and defensive purposes, unless and until the currently active batallion of 1,000 soldiers requested their assisstance.

They would be accompanied by 10 mobilie SAMs, which also would stay near the bases they were assigned to and would be used only for defensive purposes.

Subcarpathia, having chosen to become a part of Hungary-Slovakia proper some time ago, would naturally already have a garrison stationed among several bases in the Subcarpathia region already.

In light of the recent deaths of south Poland's political leadership, and the chaos and complete lack of order this has caused, Hungary-Slovakia has claimed the regions of Lesser POLAND, Lower Silesian, Silesian, Opole, and Swietokryzyskie, as once again being one Hungary-Slovakian Southern Polish Protectorate.

An additional 30,000 soldiers have been assigned to the South Poland Protectorate, bringing the total t now to 50,000 soldiers, in order to better manage the rebel and militant backlash this news will surely create.

In other news, 15 merchant freighters, 50 sailors and marines, 4 corvettes, 5 patrol boats, and 4 fast attack crafts have reached their leased port by the North Sea this afternoon.

Hungary-Slovakia is very pleased to now have two ports for carrying out trade with -- one in Yugoslavia and one in Northlands.

15,000 soldiers would be stationed in the Zakarpatia Onlast of former Ukraine, and 15,000 would be stationed between the Maramures and Crisana in former Romania.

These three regions were once a part of Hungary, and as they are currently unclaimed and without a government, Hungary-Slovakia is stepping in to restore order and eventually annex them back into Hungary.

Anger towards recent aggressive and disrespectful actions towards Hungary-Slovakia and its ally Nordisk Rike by Alvonia, has caused the parliament to meet this afternoon, and after three hours of discussion and debate, a resolution was able to garner enough votes for passage.

The resolution that was debated and passed by parliament was a two month moratorium/suspension on/of both trade with Alvonia and on the issuance of travel visas to Alvonians to the regions of Burgenland and southern Poland.

The allies and neighboring nations of Hungary-Slovakia and Yugoslavia have just recently entered into an agreement to jointly-protect and jointly-administer the lands of former Romania as a joint-protectorate between their two nations.

The Hungarian soldiers that have been stationed in the five former-Romania counties have been doing a pretty decent job of keeping the order and keeping things calm there.

Protests have been few and small and in general kept to a minimum.  No violence or riots have taken place in any of the five counties.

Updating and repair of military bases in the five counties were going well, as well, and everything was on schedule to be completed in 1 to 2 months.

Likewise, order has been well kept by the Hungarian soldiers stationed in Zakarpatia Oblast, with crime and protests being minimal.

A resolution passed by the Hungarian parliament will extend  the Hungarian Rail Line into Zakarpatia Oblast, as well.  This is expected to be completed in just a few months time.

In response to reports of growing extremist militant activity in Greater Poland, Hungary-Slovakia would garrison 15,000 soldiers in the Voivodeship.

Most would stay close to the military base in the middle of Greater Poland, though 300 would begin making a sweep around the Voivodeship, searching for any militants, caches, and hide-outs.

They would be instructed to stay at least 5 km from the border of the Alvonian Polish Protectorate.

Hungarian forces in Lower Silesian would depart, their mission there being completed.

Hungary-Slovakia would re-affirm their Non Aggression Pact with Alvonia, go to DEFCON 4, and the military would demobilize and return to It's normal readiness state.

In two months time from today, the moratorium bill will be allowed to lapse and expire, and at that time trade and travel visas with Alvonia will be restored.

(See everyone in 4-5 days.)

*1,500 Hungarian soldiers would begin to move into the military base in Zakarpattia Oblast that they had been assigned to.

The refitting and renovating of the military base has been coming along very well and on schedule to be completed in the next 30 days.

The Hungarian parliament would also pass a bill today to fund and build an extension of the Hungarian Rail Line from Hungary, through Zakarpattia Oblast, and out through Slovakia.
