We are resolved, as one people to order ourselves and to be styled as the REPUBLIC of CONNECTICUT. It is our wish to cultivate and maintain good diplomatic and economic ties with all nations and states, as well as to further the aspirations and determinations of our peoples. Military troops stationed in the now former protectorate will be withdrawn. Furthermore, the American Commonwealth announces that should Connecticut collapse, the Commonwealth reserves for itself the sole right to intervene to reestablish protection."
