Not much later, and broadcasted on all available channels a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would come on behalf of the coalition forces.

Charter on Peace and National Sovereignty

The leaders of the coalition forces, representing their !@#$%*, have met. They have been accompanied by officials of their respective !@#$%*. The leaders have agreed to the following declaration stating intent upon the conclusion of the war.

 • They identify the countries known as Yugoslavia, Japan, Alvonia and France as the primary aggressors.
 • Their countries seek no aggrandisement, territorial or other beyond the reunification of culturally and linguistically similar lands of primary aggressors.
 • They support no territorial changes that are not executed in accordance with the freely expressed wishes of the people concerned.
 • They respect the fundamental right of everyone to choose the way they are governed, sovereign rights and freedoms will be restored to all who have been deprived of them.
 • They desire to see a new era of collaboration between all nations in the economic field.
 • After the final destruction of tyranny, they hope to see established a peace which will afford to all nations the means of dwelling in safety within their own boundaries, and which will afford assurance that all the men in all the lands may live out their lives in freedom from fear and want.
 • In line with such a peace all men should be able to traverse the high seas and oceans without hindrance.
 • They believe that all the nations of the world, for realistic and spiritual reasons, should come to abandon the use of force. Such abandonment should be enabled through peaceful cooperation in a global forum tasked with protecting the security and peace of this world.

Bear Islands' Nation of the Bear, while neutral, blames Lord John Marbury for this.

Ungentlemanly behavior from a shame worthy Earl of Croy is what started everything.

All that followed was merely escalation from the singular incident.

Well before the Hesse and Hanover military was anywhere near their borders, the movements were noted, by the multiple Surveillance drones and after a brief conversation with Jeanne, the Imperium sent by encrypted diplomatic cable the Global Defense Coalition's satellite intelligence of military bases and air fields of both Hanover and Hesse, with a handwritten note to be delivered to the King.

Dear King Karl Gustaf I,

"I have included the current and expected locations of the Hesse and Hanover militaries, they have begun an assault on both Alvonia and France. We felt this information would be of use to you now that they have attacked multiple of your allies, The Global Defense Coalition welcomes you as a member, we have provided information to connect your military to the Coalitions, comms channels, etc.I look forward to working with you in defense of our mutual allies in Alvonia and France, regardless of your future intentions with France post war, obviously our inaction within the European community has led to this unfortunate course of events, and after the war is over we would like to discuss a more formal friendship with you, we're both arctic nations after all.

We have ignored our fellow arctic nations for far too long, believing that Europeans could be reasoned with, but it appears the continents problems have come to a spark that began with Romania and Yugolsavia, but has since spread like wildfire across Europe, The East Asian Imperium has elected to assist France what we see as a problem within Europe, the growing threat of the Tripartite alliance of Romania, Great Britain, and Carthage. Alvonia in particular was kept down by these three nations, and now have sent their mainland dogs to further bring down the noble Alvonian people. The Imperium does not wish to see Alvonia brought into political isolation once again,

I do not like judging character upon one action alone, but your loyalty to the commitment you signed with France even after the cancellation of the treaty and divorce from the Princess makes me believe that you are a nation which honors their word, as such I can give you my word that at the end of this war no non European nation will hold European Soil, and those in Alvonia, Baltic Shield, and France will prosper without the threats that have surrounded Central Europe for far too long.

If my intelligence forces are correct, there was some manner of discontent among Romanians at the decision for Hungary to have elected to follow its own path, and the Baltic Shield appears to be a reaction to the recently irrational behavior of Romania as of late. we suspect this was a move to remove Yugoslavia's ability to defend itself by striking before additional support our allies in the Great Lakes Republic were attempting to provide for the beleaguered Yugoslavians. Romanians have already taken land from Yugoslavia, and this new war is surely just an attempt to create another Alvonia for Europe, a nation for Romania to point at and say, "they're the evil ones."

Proactive allies with a commitment to ensuring the security of their surrounding are the only type I desire, I have found that the fires of war forge the best friendships, I look forward to hearing of your own vision for Europe, and working alongside Sverige to remove the forces that wished to strangle Europe.

Also regarding Mara's stuff following Ty's instructions:

Ty: She wasn't able to provide me with proof, so assume she's using whatever highest tech is available for her [12:22am]

I'm RPing her stuff as the highest tech year, which means those Growlers she RPs (neither Ty or I can figure out the numbers of how she got them aren't around.)  Should she provide proof, I'll edit accordingly.

OOC: Funnily enough, Ty knew exactly where the numbers came from, seeing as he approved it... and I have photographical proof of it to jar his mind if he's forgotten.

IC:

The forward reconnaissance elements of the Plains Federation Fleet, had already heightened the alert causing aircraft patrols to be taken off, movement of key personnel, targeting updates, and increase signal monitoring and deployment of high altitude ISR assets across the Isles and the outlying regions to support what increasingly seemed to be more than just an exercise.  Air sirens ran across the nation as the mobilization was noticed with spikes in spectrum activity around Britain, giving people a chance to take cover before the chaos of war erupted if only for a moment.

The Federal pilots were, in fact, the second group to launch, behind the protective screen of Tikal's far more massive air fleet.

Heart of Oak:

At sea the presence of reconnaissance by the Plains Federation was a large tip off for the already alert naval forces.  In fact, the arrogance of the Plains Federation Admiral could be the deciding factor for the entirety of the War.  British aircraft began quickly taking off from their decks surging the presence of the British fleet in the Atlantic, while the use of pencil beam style radar largely masked their presence as they went into maneuvers vs the rest of the adversary fleets.  The British task forces began to move Northwards towards the gap between Scotland, Ireland, and Iceland, engaging in zig zag manuvers and forces came in for the attack.  Moving at full speed, the ability for the enemy fleets to sub sonic missile attacks to close range before running out of gas was largely negated.

Pilots attached to VF/A-11,-14 and -17 found themselves watching through AWACS feeds during their ascent as British fighters pilots made like a swarm of angry bees, buzzing about, not quite actually doing anything, while staying within Standard missile range of First Fleet's destroyers, cruisers and missileships.

The fleets deployment of F/A-18’s APG-79 radars would give the fleet advanced readings on cruise missile forces lower radar cross section and downwards surface capabilities.  E/A-18Gs would provide jamming for the fleet as it moved back.  Harpoons with their shorter range and much more advanced engines and guidance packages would be the most difficult to intercept.  Growler jamming at longer range, right outside the enemy fleet air defense nets would prevent course corrections for missiles, causing them to expend fuel while trio of B-1 Rs at stand off range would engage them, using updated data from the F-18 AESA radars to achieve maximum kill ratio.  60 harpoons would be brought down like this, before the B-1s super cruised back to Scotland while those closest to the Irish coast would be engaged and destroyed by ASTER-30 missiles, slaved to the skyborne radars, bringing down an additional 32, while a second wave of Growlers would provide close in fleet jamming support, complimenting onboard electronic warfare systems, and the fleets radars would be integrated with onboard ones.  Of the original 288 harpoons (Mara said just her ‘vettes shot harpoons each able to fire a max of 8, and Lyn said assume a 1:4 ratio, with him firing 1000 missiles total), this left a total of, 196 for the entirety of the royal navy.

Jamming managed to take care of an additional 60, bringing the number down to 132 to engage.  Combining the sea borne and air borne radars, most of cruise missiles advantages were heavily negated as missile after missile destroyed them, 90 neutralized a mid range, 30 at close and terminal range, leaving 12 to slam into targets, one San Antonio took significant damage eating two, another hit the side of a frigate causing significant damage, a three slammed into one of the WASP class causing significant damage, two hit littoral combat ships brining them to take on water and have significant damage, while the Warspite pulled a sharp turn as one slammed into the water, the mighty carier finally took two to the side, its armor was heavily damaged and several planes were lost but the ships were still very much in tact.  The fleet continued at full speed.

A pair of FCs at the MSS station on the bridge of the Freedom muttered amongst themselves, managing to make conversation under the general clamoring uproar caused by their fellow sailors and the general-quarters klaxon.

"Y'know, I thought for damn sure those last two would sink that big, fat !@#$%^&." the burly FC2 said to his companion, a thin, reedy-looking first class.

"Any other ship, they would have, I think - but carriers are a little tougher. Unless you manage to crack the keel, of course." FC1 replied. He looked disappointed.

The tomahawks were a whole different matter.  Fired at near max range it would take them nearly half an hour to reach their targets, actually even longer, because the fleet was moving away, and the Tomahawk missiles were also heavily jammed, in a electro magnetically contested environment, rendering lock near impossible to keep.  (In fact this largely had to do with the reason that the U.S. Navy had decommissioned them, and that was in an era where airborne AESA radars were practically non-existent for early detection and the American military owned the EM spectrum for doing course updates.)  In the end the Tomahawk was simply an awful choice for the attack.  Most crashing into the water after expending fuel trying to re-lock on and re-lock on and the remaining easily soaked up by the combined fleet defenses.

"And the bullet sponges have done their duty." FC1 told FC2 while they both watched the elderly Tomahawk variants perform their intended task.

At the same time, British growlers would work to prevent radar lock and detection, while interior EC-130 Js would block communications between the squadrons,  and British, Sea, Land, and Air radars including E-3 and E-2s would help monitor aircraft and missiles as they came in.  Both fleets and ground based defenses would engage enemy planes, while the British air force would employ swarming tactics, given their much lower detection ranges and lower flight times, allowing them to swarm in on clusters of enemy aircraft.  Jamming missile locks, while being pummeled by outnumbered aircraft, while B-1 Rs would provide long range defense, firing off volleys to defeat enemy aircraft and the missiles they managed to get off.  The results would be that the British would never enter into aircraft engagements where they didn’t have advantages in altitude, fuel, and numbers, as well as superior detection ranges, giving them near certainties to overcome each wave, while the enemy aircraft would need to also fight through the IADS and seabased SAM nests around the British Isles.

F-15s and F-23s would take particular pleasure in forcing fights with the older F/A-18 Super Hornets of the Plains Federation, which would be torn to shreds, without the presence of AESA Radars.  They’d also prioritize engaging the Growlers of the enemy air power, pounding them relentlessly, even at the cost of letting some super hornets escape.  The reason for this was simple, there was about to be a very very nasty surprise.

"What is that dumb Limey over there doing?" Group Captain Revy Shepard said to her copilot, watching the F-15 trying to bait them out of the umbrella of Fleet AD. Every time he'd try to close, they would back away, and he would stop, seemingly knowing that crossing that line would put him in range of the combined fleet's air defense systems.

"A whole lot of nothing, that's what. Him and all his buddies, actually. Whoops, I spoke too soon!" her copilot replied, and she banked her craft hard left, her squadron following her Hornet like ducklings after a mother duck. The bank, copied in almost the same instant by every fighter in the Federal air group, took them all deeper within the fleet AD umbrella. Any fighter that crossed that line would find itself swamped under SM-2 missile fire, baking in the irradiating glare of the SPY-1D(V) AESA radar mounted by every ship in the Federal fleet that wasn't a carrier, amphib, frigate, or corvette.

The only difference between a Growler and an air-or-sea-strike equipped F/A-18E or F was the number of ECM pods mounted and their locations, as well as the Growler's onboard EW system.. A Growler-type Super Hornet would mount five ALQ-99s and two AMRAAMs or Sidewinders, depending on its position in the squadron formation and assigned duties. Every single anti-air package F/A-18 carried one; the anti-shipping configured ones would carry one as well. In effect, the sky was awash with Federal jamming, fierce and heavy enough to blind any incoming missile much beyond knife-fighting range. Sheer sensory overload would finish off any home-on-jam missile.

A combination attack would be employed to pound the enemy force.  ASBMs would be employed against the enemy fleet, taking advantage of the deployment of a semi-circle (OOC: Mogar’s words, logs provided on request), to target the fleets weaker carrier elements which were less protected.  With the enemy forces spamming up fighters, their positions would easily be identifiable.  One key would be the engagement of the the three carriers from the Plains Federation, because the Plains Federation had significantly less advanced EM capabilities to protect itself from the incoming ASBMs.  Each of the EAI and the Tikal carriers would be saturated by 12 ASBMs fielding a mix of four armor penetrating warheads capable of doing in the carriers, along with 8 bomblet warheads which were more than enough to demolish the capabilities to launch (and crucially with the massive deployment of aircaft land) planes on the carrier decks.  The dispersed bomblet attacks would have the additional advantage in that they’d make point defenses even more difficult to defeat.  The Plains Federation faced 16 a piece, with an even distribution between dispersed bomblets and armor penetrating warheads to bring their carriers to their knees.

A new klaxon whooped aboard every ship in the fleet as SPY informed them of multiple inbound ballistic launches.

"Time to earn our pay!" the FC1 said, bumping shoulders with the FC2 as he pushed over to his console, a foot away. "Multiple inbound; the computer says they're hitting the carriers. Well frak them, then!" the FC1 muttered, before raising his voice. "Brace for shock!" he said, as every member of the crew found something solid to hold themselves against or to. The computer spat out firing solutions, and his thumb rammed the firing stud that controlled the other batch of SM-2 missiles. The birds lofted away from the ship in a nearly simultaneous launch, hurtling into the upper atmosphere to engage the ballistic missiles before their warheads separated. The same scene replayed itself on every ship in the three battlegroups, all within mutual support range of one another. Now, of course, not all of the enemy missiles were intercepted - the first anti-BM salvo knocked out a full third of them, but they expended 32 missiles to do it.

Then the second salvo hit, and blasted apart a further half. Then the Sea Sparrow missiles, lofted in a furious wave, rose to meet their adversaries; at nearly the same time, RAM canisters fired, and the CIWS roared.

There were no surviving missiles to hit the ships.

At the same time flying past the fighter engagements two growlers per squadron of rafales, 140 aircraft total, flew through towards the Plains Federation fleets.  Conducting directed electronic attacks and DRFM jamming of their defenses, which were especially vulnerable without the presence of AESA radars as on newer models of aircraft and ships.  The Rafales unleashed exocet cruise missiles, while the growlers fired off Harpoons, with special targeting being given to the carriers, sixty missiles per carrier from a mere 60 kilometer ranger, while air to air missiles were prepped for any additional hornets to engage within this close to the enemy formations.  This had the dual effect of also forcing the alignment of radars between high altitude ballistic and low altitude cruise missiles in order to be able to target both.

"And we have customers!" Group Captain Shepard shouted, watching the electronics aircraft - or rather, the holes their jamming left on her radar screen - hurtle towards the fleet. She keyed her mic. "Black Knights, counting one-four-zero, I repeat, one-four-zero, hostiles making a break for the fleet on heading one-one-zero. You'll know which ones to hit - heavy electronic noise coming off them. Move to engage!" As a body, VF/A-11 turned about and came down like a hammer on the hostiles, firing off missiles where they could and closing to dogfighting range when they couldn't. The Super Hornets simply outclassed their foes, the Growlers being laden down by extra EM pods and the Rafales were simply outnumbered, though they could climb slightly faster and had a slightly better thrust-to-weight ratio. All the incoming also lost much of the advantage of the jamming prevalent among their more rearward compatriots, finding themselves lit hot by the combined power of many SPY radar arrays, though the FCS arrays that would have conclusively sealed their fate were busily directing SM-2s into enemy ballistic missiles.

Meanwhile, the second attack would screech from the hardpoints of the 200 anti-ship configured F/A-18E/Fs and the decks of all nine destroyers, six frigates, and four cruisers. The Hornets would fire four P-800 Onikses apiece, putting 800 birds in the air at a range of 170 miles at mach 2.5. Each missile would close the distance to just outside of Standard missile range before dropping down to a sea-skimming profile for their attack run, just ten meters off the wavetops. The 800 missiles were targeted on the British cruisers and destroyers alone. From the Federal ships came 200 additional P-700 Granits, synced to the air launch so that all 1000 missiles would arrive at roughly the same time. The Granits were targeted on the British carriers, 40 per carrier.

In light of recent, unannounced attacks against the French border by Hanover and Hesse with no discernible reason or rhyme, France officially declares war against these two nations and lets it be known that whenever they wish to surrender, France is entirely willing to hear them out.

~L’Imperatrice Jeanne de LaQueu, Vive la France

French reserves had started moving as soon as reports of Hanover’s military movements had been revealed to the French government, and before they met the border, French troops had lined up across from it, and messages had been sent to the generals of the Plains Federation and East Asia to rally at designated points and move onto the border for its defense, those points being Metz and Strasbourg respectively.

Air power from the Hanover side would first find resistance in the form of Mistral launchers, small, reliable infantry borne anti-air devices that were difficult to fool. Any Electronic Warfare aircraft that got close enough to be any kind of threat to French activity would find itself targeted by MICA AR, a variant developed by the French in the Imperial period for active Radiation tracking, in addition to the Infrared tracking of the Mistral they would face.

French Fusilier divisions had been stationed in the cities of Neustadt and Pirmasens for its defense against the force of North Germans, and the evacuation of civilians from these cities had commenced; the city of Strasbourg being deemed an appropriate target for them initially, before they could be returned to their homes following the defeat of Hanover’s troops.

Hanover’s probing into the L482 roadway would be mostly met by Artillery fire and small units of Armored Cavalry scouts, who engaged for the merest of moments before retreating back out of sight. The land was a patchwork of forests and open ground, which was Perfect for the French strategy.
French cavalry scouts and other recon would be held back for the time being to prevent unnecessary loss.

Hanover’s navy would come under immediate and intense anti-ship missile fire as soon as they came within range of points at Calais, determined to keep them from passing through the Channel. 400 of the most advanced and deadly Exocet missiles would fly from the coast in their direction, and long ranged Artillery was on standby to open fire should they attempt to make the channel.

As soon as news of an attack against Alvonia was heard, a message was sent on secured lines, laid down years before and almost entirely unused since then for the cooperation of the French and Alvonian governments in the older days where their friendship was strong.

To all whom it may concern.

We come to a point in our history where we once again are on the same side against a foe who strikes against us. French concerns once again coincide with those of Alvonia, and we once again look to our friends there for assistance. This message is for the purpose of requesting immediate cross-border cooperation in the conflict against the combined North-German forces of Hanover and Hesse.

The war across the channel was going precisely as planned, with some minor adjustments. For example, the planes who had been flying – Nap-of-the-earth– behind the UAV force by a significant enough time to judge where best to launch SEAD and Aerial Superiority operations were given the juicy targets of Raptors, Growlers, and even better, B2 Bombers. SEAD Aircraft, Primarily the faster Mirage 2000, had been armed with a variety of Anti-Radiation weaponry and Air-to-Air systems, as well as their standard Air-to-Ground weaponry, with which to defend themselves, and were quickly adapted. They quickly engaged the enemy forces in air combat, but only briefly, to avoid undue exposure. The Arms of the French Airpower were primarily the relatively long range MICA missile and variants thereof, or the new Meteor.

Meanwhile, in Interceptor-land…

It was discovered that there were a great deal of large weapons traveling towards the French from the direction of Britain, and it was quickly decided that this was quite the problem.  Fortunately, for French targets, Tomahawks are slow and relatively easy to intercept with primitive methods. It wasn’t difficult for intercepting craft to simply shoot them down where they flew, and when combined with point defense systems on French military targets, very few of them made it through.

Of course, on top of this, the British were trying to Jam a very wide range, which made it that much less effective, not to mention that prepared radar operators were by and large able to see through the jam to pick out abnormalities as they usually would.

On top of this, France was operating a great deal of AESA systems, which by their very virtue were far more difficult to even find, much less jam. Not only that, but there were many, heavily polarized radar-points along the channel.

The Ballistic attacks were something different. French officials were tempted to deploy the Nuclear stockpile at the detection of them, but this was decided to be brash, and the stockpile was thus just put on the highest possible alert pending the reveal of the nature of these weapons. In the meantime, Aester countermeasures were deployed to intercept the missiles before they reached their targets. Naturally this was somewhat less effective and thus more of these got through, but the effects were still rather negligible to the overall war effort.

As downlinks were jammed all across France, so too were downlinks jammed across Britain in retaliation, with the same being done to the Carthaginians, Hessians, and the people of Hanover.

In the South, things were going in an interesting direction.

The same story was told on the continental side, but with great warning comes great preparedness, French defenses would take care of the majority of the missiles, though detection was still difficult.

Then the French addressed the situation of the air-battle over Corsica. Much like in the North, the weapons fired from the south weren’t even terribly difficult for intercepting Mirage 2000s to shoot down, out and out. Anti-Air systems took care of most of the rest with some small amount of difficulty due to their low altitude flying. Some of them would, of course, strike their targets. This was inevitable, but the damage was far from significant. The same approach to Electronic Warfare was being taken in the South as it was in the North. Rafale would be flown to engage in air-to-air combat with any combat aircraft daring to enter Corsican airspace.

Ballistic missiles fired from Africa would almost all hit their targets with the expected effect, but the French weren't to be dissuaded so easily. There were enough airports in France that any one could be converted, and the French were ready to do so.

French forces across the Pyrenees fortified heavily, especially on the Mediterranean side where the ground was relatively flat and ripe for offensive.

The invasion of Corsica was somewhat of a surprise from the French side, but not for the reason that one might think. Seventh Corps hadn’t been expecting combat so soon.

The Paratrooper mission was doomed from the start. A400M were not armed to evade being hit by Anti-Air missiles, and though their escort would fare better, flying into heavy anti-air isn't the best of ideas, and they would find those in abundance as soon as they were identified.

The attack on Ajaccio fared even worse, French forces almost didn’t believe their luck, being delivered such forces. Of course, XIV ID was ready to receive. Heavy Artillery rained down in accurate barrages on the ships even before they reached the coast, as well as a Cruise Missile each. It was unlikely that they made it to the coast, much less the city-proper. Air patrols would be engaged as needed by defending aircraft.

Meanwhile, at sea.

French PAAMS systems were busily smacking missiles out of the air as they came the fleet’s way. It was almost boring. One missile gets close, one missile goes out, missiles go boom at each other, nothing happens after that. After all, there were a great many Horizons and other ships armed with similar but reduced capability in that field in the fleet, so it wasn’t even especially difficult.

And as the British airforces advanced to engage the Plains Federation’s forces, so too did a good number of French aircraft sally to engage alongside their allies. Fifty Rafale of the French navy flew forth, and as soon as they were within a range to be discriminatory from their enemies and allies, began to lob Meteors into the melee.

French Anti-ship missiles remained on standbye.

The Hanover navy on detecting the immediate launch of anti-ships missiles would perform a hard and tight turn to bring their course around, the missile defense ships would drift to the rear of the formation along with the smaller escorts to form an anti-missile barrier. The tight turn and the fact that the french forces had fired as soon as they had gotten in range meant that chances of survival were fairly high for the fleet. As it was jamming operations would be put into effect focusing on the incoming missiles whilst the aegis defenses would engage the missiles as well as close intercept weapon systems once the range had quickly closed.

A fair number of missiles would be destroyed, and firing that many missiles in one volley at such a small amount of targets would have to have hampered their targeting. As it was though the Aegis cruiser Hamburg took a double hit to the rear superstructure destroying all its weapons systems located there, killing fourteen crew and causing light damage to the engine room, the destroyers Bayern and Augsberg took a hit each with the former losing five crewmen and the later three with moderate damage to the superstructure. The worst loss was the destroyer Erfurt which took a massive seven missile hits and the rear quarter of the ship was severed, flooding was immediate and deadly and the crew were forced to abandon ship. When the two halves had finally slipped below the waves only sixty three crewman were left alive in life rafts. Helicopter rescue operations would begin immediately to to recover those crewmen. The Hanover fleet relying on their CAP and the hoped for humanity in the french forces that they wouldn't target units operating in an obvious SAR role.

Of course with french missile units now revealed the fleet fired back a barrage of one hundred and fifty cruise missiles at the French anti-shipping positions. The cruise missiles would be fired in three staggered waves of fifty missiles timed to come in only a few seconds apart and at slightly different altitudes. It was hoped that this would increase their chances of getting through enemy air defenses which would be forced to concentrate on each wave before the next giving them little time to engage all of the missiles.

The retaliation strike launched the Hanover fleet would continue to journey northwards along the British eastern coastline intending to take the time to travel up and around Scotland where it was safer. This also allowed them to transfer those critically and badly wounded crew members to the British mainland where the British could care for them better.

At the French border losses among the Hanover recon units would be light as artillery was a poor weapon to use against fast moving scout vehicles however, the enemy Armoured Calvary Squadrons would inflict the majority of losses among the Hanover scouts. Of course these scouts followed their orders to the letter withdrawing as soon as they were engaged, smoke rounds dropping in behind them as they withdrew to cover their retreat. Enemy artillery positions would be estimated from the firing arcs of the enemy artillery and from the few satellites the Hanover military possessed but no counter artillery would be ordered as the French would likely have withdrawn their artillery pieces so soon after firing, this in turn helping to keep the recon units losses low.

The one major positive part of this recon push was that it now gave the Hanover military command a strong belief that the city of Pirmasens had been fortified and manned by the enemy and plans were being drawn up for dealing with the location. The fact that evacuating civilians had been noticed leaving the city would also be factored in as this allowed a much more destructive element to be used that had first been predicted.

In the air, losses would be almost non-existent the Hanover air force having been kept back to protect and provide close air support for the ground forces which had yet to be requested. The electronic warfare planes would also come out almost untouched, the MICA AR variant being only short range based for the French ground forces and the distance both in longitude and latitude meant that the electronic warfare planes were simply out of range though this of course meant that the French forces were also unaffected by any form of electronic countermeasure warfare themselves. One ECW plane was lost however, when its crew tried to get closer to the front and at a lower altitude, the crew survived and were able to return to Hanover lines. The crew member who had made the decision was not punished after it was discovered he had a sister who had been in the recon units sent to scout out the French forces. She survived her mission and though not punished her brother was reassigned back to the Hanover mainland.

For now the Hanover forces would be patient and use all the information they had gathered to plan their next moves.

:Atlantic:

Fortunately the RQ-170s had flown from Greenland, not from France, so were undetected by the time they had spotted their targets and the information had been passed along to the aircraft of the coalition. the enemy EA-18 Growlers and EC-130J lit up like beacons for the HARMS attached underwing, priority would be given to destroying as many of them as possible, to allow for the rest of the coalition to focus on the enemy F-15s, as well as allow the Allied EA-18Gs to focus on tracking and launching radar guided missiles at the enemy F-23s, feeding the data of locations across the encrypted channels to the rest of the coalition, allowing for the allied forces to make a far more reactive engagement than what the British had wanted.

The F/A-18's 960 AGM-84 SLAM-ER would be targeted at the enemy's 10 carriers, 96 per vessel, with the points of impacts selected as 48 to the decks, and 48 along the waterline, with the intent of knocking the vessels out of the engagement. The enemy ASBMs would be tracked from the detection of launch from France, and the EAI fleet's RIM-161 SM-3s made short work of the attempt. In response a total of 360 LiaoShō missiles would be fired, aiming for the British Carriers as well, 36 per vessel, with both of course using their sea skimming capabilities.

The Cathargian Global Hawks were easily detected by AWACS, with Harriers sent to dispatch the drones upon detection long before they reached the coalition's fleet, with four harriers per Global Hawk, they'd use their AIM-9X and AIM-120D to engage the Global Hawks, and if missiles did not work, the GAU-12 Equalizer should do the trick,  which made the Carthargian ASBMs as unsuccessful as the British attempts, with SM-3s destroying any ballistic missiles within the fleet's umbrella.

:Europe:

Strasbourg Had been set up as the Imperium's eastern base of operations, set up to defend the surrounding area from the impending Hessian/Hanover attack. They had embedded themselves several kilometers away from the border, under the assumption the enemies would simply bombard the border before crossing, Imperium UAVs began spotting for the Imperium's Artillery and rocket artillery batteries. but as the main forces had not advanced, they simply lay in wait under camouflaged positions.

In the air however, the British assaults against the Northern French air bases had simply failed to realize the true nature of the Imperium F-22 prescence within France. The Hanover Squadrons would be assaulted by the Imperium's 5 squadrons of F-22s. They would target the enemy EW aircraft guarding the Southern battle group, and then began ripping apart the rest of the enemy aircraft, providing targeting data upon the enemy forces to the rest of the Allied airforces, joined by an attack from the 4 squadrons F-15J/Ks and 4 squadrons of F-2s to destroy as much of the enemy's air power as possible, with withdrawal of the F-15 and F-2s to friendly territory occuring should additional enemy aircraft show up, a hit and run style of aerial warfare was chosen due to the enemy still having air bases, though that would likely be changing shortly.

The Imperium's bomber force had been waiting, originally intended to assist in the bombing campaign against Great Britian, the Germans had provided for much juicer and far less protected targets. Aerial survelliance had already given the allied forces the locations of all military air bases within the two german states, and taking off from Tikal they would fly directly north, using the shape of the earth to minimize the distance between their targets, using the north Sea once over the Arctic, staying close to the Sverige side and avoiding the Hanover fleet's detection range thanks to the French radars.

The B-2s would be the first to cross into Hanover, their targets early warning radars, static anti air defenses, and runways to remove the ability of aircraft to be launched to further assist the drive into France, and more importantly, to prevent a reasonable defense to be fought against the next wave of aircraft. Tu-160s would follow up should the B-2 attack be successful, targeting short range radars, air defense systems and further carpeting the runways with Durendal bomblets, removing the ability to simply patch the runways for additional use, as well as targeting long stretchs of highway to remove their ability to be used as runways.

Operation Nordic Storm Music

The opening stages of the attack would begin with 100 Mjolnir rockets being fired as a screen at the nation of Hanover with targets being airfields, radar emplacements, as well communication arrays. They would be fired from staging bases within Denmark, using booster rockets to extend their range and speed. The screen was in place to cover the swarm of Gripen heading into Hanover airspace. They would total in the number of 300. Half of the force would be equipped to handle any air threats to the mobilized air force, the other half would be equipped with air to ground weapons to strike any enemy hard points, anti-aircraft weapons, and to further destroy the enemies airfields, radar, communication arrays, as well as power plants. The idea was to black out the nation and prevent air cover for any Hanover ground forces in the area, as well as to heavily disrupt their war effort and bring this theater to a close quicker. When targets would come into range, the aircraft would fire at them in an attempt to knock them out.

This air attack would provide the air cover and attempt to grab air supremacy for the ground war that would take place. All five Battle Groups had been deployed in and around the city of Hamburg in the Northlands in preperation for the upcoming attack. Moments after the declaration of war had gone public all five fully mobilized Battle Groups would cross the border into Hanover. They would be split into three spearheads.

Army Group North

Battle Group North would consist of the Battle Group Freki. They would move with high speed in the direction of Bremen, to secure and capture it as well as the coast lines. The Battle Group would move using its Strf 9040C's as armored recon vehicles in order to find any enemy resistance, radio back the locations to rest of the Battle Group and to allow for the artillery to launch barrages against the position to soften them up before the Stridsvagn 122's would make the armored thrust to break through, while the Stridsvagn 103's watched the flanks of the attacks to prevent counter attacks be made in force. Artillery would only fire saturating bursts before relocating to new positions to prevent the enemy from triangulating their positions for return fire. After breakthrough was achieved, Infantry would be responsible helping hold the gaps, and securing encirclement.

Army Group South

Army Group South would consist of Battle Group Fenrir. Their mission objective was to secure the border of Hanover and to seize Magdeburg along the Elbe River. They would follow a similar role with as Army Group North, using armored recon vehicles to locate enemy ground positions, and to saturate the positions with artillery fire before using an armored spearhead to break through, and infantry to support in the encirclement of enemy positions.

Army Group Center

Army Group Center was tasked with the very important mission of surrounding and capturing the city of Hanover, and capturing the Hanover government alive. The Army Group would consist Battle Groups Ragnarok, Nordic, and Livgardet. They would be split into through vectors of attack. Ragnarok would circle to the East moving to secure the city's eastern approach, Nordic would be tasked with circling West and securing the city's western approach, while Livgardet would be tasked with driving straight at the city where the strongest defenses would be assumed to be placed. Army Group Center was tasked with speed as a priority. They would advance using rolling artillery barrages at any enemy positions that were located by the Strf 9040C's playing the role of recon. Armored thrusts would continued to be used as the means to break through these weakened positions, with Infantry following from behind. In addition the Livgardet would be entrusted with the 100 Valkyries, and 100 Fenrir helicopters to be used as close air support and to ferry infantry from the rear to the front, as well as to bring wounded back to the rear to be treated.

French Front

The forward most ECW aircraft even with their jamming and detection capabilities stood no chance against the Imperial Japanese F-22 fighter planes, one after another they would suddenly pick up incoming missiles and attempt to futilely evade before being destroyed. However, their loss did allow the planes further to the rear to withdraw from the battle space thus preserving some of the Hanover ECW capability. Ground air defenses would do their utmost to detect the F-22 fighter planes likely though be ineffective at that, it would however, light up the other model Imperial planes who would find themselves the target of long range surface to air missiles though it was unknown how effective they would be.

Hanover Homeland

The B2 strike would cause massive damage and destruction to the northern territory airfields, radar sites and fixed defenses, only being able to pick up the B2 bombers when they opened their bomb bays meant that only a handful of surface to air missiles would be launched in time. The majority of the northern territory defenses would be rendered nonoperational with only a few managing to keep some sort of capability going. However, as the nation was on a war time footing a CAP was already int he air and would be vectored in to try an intercept on the likely now withdrawing bombers, perhaps a handful would be caught and destroyed at best but at least it should prevent further strikes by non-escorted bomber planes.

Command and control facilities would also take some damage but would still for the majority remain active and able to continue to function, mobile command centers would be sent to the north of the country to help coordinate homeland defense actions there.

The air defenses were still online and functional when the Sverige missiles came in but only for a very few short moments, a handful of them would likely be taken out before they dived in and caused further destruction to the northern areas facilities and defenses. The Hanover planes who made up the CAP knew they were outgunned and outnumbered but they vowed to go down fighting and would move in to engage the Sverige planes with the intention of taking out as many of them as they could.

On the ground the remaining troops who had not left for the French front were ordered to pull back to the capital city of Hanover and the surrounding area. The shorter distance of travel compared to their Sverige counter parts meant that they were easily able to retreat to and fortify the cities of Hanover, Brunswick and Bielefeld. There was no time to properly evacuate the citizens of these nations but all available civilian methods of travel minus by air would be used to get as many of the citizens out before the enemy got too close. Those that did not manage to get out where advised to seek shelter where they could.

In these cities and in the city of Bremen to the North the troops inside the city would use everything at their disposal to form barricades, ditches, trenches and so forth in the preparation of a lengthy siege. Mobile anti aircraft vehicles would constantly move around on patrol to avoid being spotted and destroyed whilst being able to provide interception against low level bombers and attack and transport helicopters.

The northern most long range mobile missile launchers that had been ready a long time before the fighting had even began would launch their missile payloads against the oncoming Sverige forces using high explosive warheads their effectiveness would likely be reduced against such mobile targets and with little guidance on hand. However, any losses they inflicted and delays they caused would be useful.

"I resurface just to do a new number on you."

The Hessian infantry would not be able to simply enter Alvonia unopposed, of course. The first obstacle Hessian troops would face were carefully-hidden, deep, and complex minefields, with a mix of bounding and blast anti-personnel mines, which of themselves a mix of plastic and metal compounds, frustrating possible attempts to demine. Further issues would arise if demining vehicles were brought up, as Wehrmacht Pioniers had liberally mixed in anti-tank mines into the anti-personnel fields. Detecting these would also prove difficult as the mines themselves had few metal components. As if this was not bad enough, machine guns constantly harassed Hessian soldiers in their attempts to scout and demine, of both the infantry MG3 variety and heavy M3Ms.

If the Hessians did not immediately pull back facing those obstacles, Wehrmacht and Schwarze Korps snipers alike hunted their enemies, staying hidden until the trigger was pulled, then disappearing like a ghost once the horrid deed was done. Many of these snipers carried explosive bullets, and there was virtually no shortage of them.

The Hessians could probably also hear dull thumps or roars off in the distance. The snipers had a secondary job as well - they were spotters for artillery. Once enemy tanks were spotted, all bets were off. From the rear, Raketenartillerie Tod launchers fired self-guided anti-tank cluster munitions towards the Hessian armor, while other sets sent down high-explosive cluster munitions towards confirmed Hessian infantry positions and locations. As if that hellfire weren't enough, 155mm batteries also exploded around Hessian infantry, targeting them with regular updates from still-undiscovered snipers.

The task of repelling these incursions was given to the soldiers of the 12. Infanterie-Division, 13. Infanterie-Division, 1. Panzer-Division, and the newly-reformed 14. Infanterie-Division, in addition to the 2,940 Schwarze Korps members standing side-by-side with them in the trenches and in their sniper positions.  Should Hessian infantry somehow brave the withering machine gun fire, mines, artillery strikes, and constant sniper attacks, these soldiers would be the ones they faced, already on edge since the Alvonian intervention in Yugoslavia.

Since the cluster munitions were not immune to accuracy problems, Wehrmacht Panzerjäger teams had prepared. They readied their SPIKE ATGMs and Javelin systems, watching and waiting for Hessian tanks to make their appearance. While they could engage the enemy at or over 4,000 meters away, the Panzerjägers opted to wait until the enemy got closer to ensure accurate fire, as well as bring them closer to the Tod platforms when they finished reloading.

In the air, Luftwaffe planes were scrambled once confirmation was made that the Hessian Luftwaffe was in play, although for now no planes would move to directly challenge the Hessian fighters. However, there were the various SAM defenses that had been put in place in the form of Flakpanzers and Fliegerfaust crews in the trenches, both of which could fire upon enemy aircraft from over 4,500 meters away. If they were overwhelmed or fighter crews made concerted efforts to harass and destroy Alvonian air defenses, then orders would come in.

While this happened, Wehrmacht technical specialists began subtle jamming of Hessian radios. To the Hessians, everything would appear normal - but they wouldn't be able to hear each other's transmissions. Tanks would be cut off from each other, infantry unable to talk to tanks, leaders unable to talk to headquarters. Radar on board aircraft would be jammed as well, sending back random noise and false signatures to confuse, disorient and frustrate Hessian pilots in trying to engage targets.

Air Command

Movements of the Hanover CAS would quickly be picked up by radar, and reported to the aircraft equipped for aerial combat. 75 of the 150 would be dispatched to deal with the Hanover aircraft. The rest would still provide air cover to the 150 Gripen making strategic strikes against Hanover, continuing their previous mission, while steering clear of enemy anti-air batteries, moving to higher altitudes, only coming down for short dives to deliver their payloads. As this was going on, aircraft that had emptied their payloads would be escorted back by small groups to rearm and refuel, which would be the start of cycling the Gripen Air Forces into smaller attack groups that would be used to replace the larger attack force after the majority of it had returned to base. These smaller attack groups would be used to provide Close Air Support, and make it so that the Sverige Air Force always had jets in the air over Hanover Air Space.

The detached force sent to engage the Hanover Air Force would open fire as soon as they had come within range for a missile strike to be placed against them. The hope was to knock them out in a single strike and return to previous duties of providing escort. They were under orders that if evasion could not be achieved from return fire, they would be ordered to eject before the missile could strike the aircraft, as was standard operating procedure in the Sverige Military where it valued the lives of its Soldiers.

Ground Command

General Ground combat was going relatively easy for the Sverige Forces. Little to no resistance was being found out in the open terrain, what defenders they did come across quickly crumbled under the weight of the attacks. They took care not to destroy civilian structures, and Infantry Squads would quickly secure the buildings of the small towns, and spend time reassuring the civilians that they weren't there to harm them. Food and water would be provided to the towns in an effort to win over support of the civilian population, as well as bring in generators to provide power to the towns that may have lost them due to Gripen strikes against Power Plants.

Soldiers that did surrender would be stripped of weapons, and moved to the rear to be put into confined camps, where they would be provided logging, food, water, as well as allowed to send messages to their families to tell them that they were alive and being taken care of by the Sverige Military. Movement to the camps would be kept hidden, and walls had been erected to prevent prisoners from knowing the location of where they were at based on the terrain.

Soldiers that did put up resistance would quickly discover that the standard Sverige Infantry man tended to advance with calm due to the Dragon Scale armored suits that they were wearing, affording them protection from small arms. This allowed them to take much more direct routes towards the enemy to knock out their positions, and helped minimize Sverige Casualties, and due to the unknown nature of the armor to Hanover Infantry, those that didn't fall were more inclined to surrender, which the Sverige soldiers were more than willing to accept.

The lack of defenses in the open country and small towns meant the Sverige Army Groups would quickly arrive at their objectives, where they would quickly learn the true nature of the Hanover defense, which was to rely on using the cities. With the first real defenses encountered at the suburbs of the cities, the Army Groups would delay their swift drive and start setting up fields of operation within forests hidden. They would also begin encirclement of their objectives, this would be done while keeping a distance from them, knowing that there would be artillery, armor, and large groups of soldiers holed up within the cities that would provide fierce resistance. The would attempt to only use small probing attacks at different vectors as an attempt to gather intelligence, and to make the enemy aware that they were slowly being encircled by large bodies of forces. No orders for a major thrust would be given until complete encirclement existed at Bremen, Hanover, and Magdeburg.

OOC: FHIC needs to reply for us to continue for the ground, but we can continue the air war.

:Hesse:

Imperium F-2 and F-15J/Ks would put to use their J/APR-4 Radar warning receivers upon being lit up, immediately using their jamming and leaving the range of the operational radars, they had done their job and Hanover was distracted upon the French and Alvonian border. They'd maintain CAPs of the border area, now they knew where the enemy radars were, it was simply patience that would win this front, staying within range of the radars, but beyond the capability of normal missiles systems to be able to harm them and well within the umbrella of the guntanks placed upon the border.

The F-22s would land and reload, rearmed and refueled they'd continue their attacks, this round equipped with 4 SDB FLM per aircraft, a total of 192 would be dropped upon Radar platforms within Hesse, and then any mobile radars that might be in the area, increased surveillance would remain on the Hessian and Hanover forces, their lack of push was suspicious and the Imperium was wary of a trap.

:Hanover:

The B-2s would land back in EAI, rearmed for a secondary strike if it proved necessary. Upon detection of enemy aircraft the Tu-160s would be rerouted back home, deciding instead to wait for their time to strike, aerial superiority needed to be ensured before they could begin their campaign, one was unfortunate enough to be within Hanover fighter range before the Imperium could realize they had underestimated the air power remaining in Hanover, crashing into central Hanover.

The crew had managed to survive, thankfully two members of the crew were of white ethnicity, and spoke mostly French, not that it would do them much good, but one of them knew a bit of German and they were near the Northlands border they had thought, it would be a difficult journey undetected, their first goal would be to find a home and get civilian clothing, flight suits stood out.

:Private:

"...And they wonder why I am so quick to draw the sword, for these barbarians violence is the only language they speak, the pen may be mightier than the sword, but a sharp blade at someone's throat is just as effective as any pen, and serves to provide much more influence on their decisions than merely writing a letter would." Kazuko said as she sparred with her partner of the day, standing over him with her blade at his throat. "Get up, again, I may learn nothing from you, but you WILL learn something from me today."

The Sky Wardens would extend their campaign, eliminating all commercial satellites belonging to Britain, Romania, Prussia, and Belarus (if any). These nations would abruptly find themselves with any form of satellite supported infrastructure or capabilities.

Druk Yul would publish a report among scientists and its allies requesting information on what may have happened to some of its satellites, stating they had abruptly gone off tracking and that they are now missing.

The combined Hanover forces on the French border gathered themselves, all supplies that could not be carried on or in vehicles were abandoned, fixed defenses were left empty and every vehicle in the force gathered to together. Just short of four hundred thousand soldiers contained within various armoured fighting vehicles were grouped with all six thousand Hanover battle tanks supported by the massed firepower of the Hanover artillery which had been stationed together into one enormous battery. Mobile AA vehicles of both the missile and gun variant were spread through out the armoured force and armoured recon vehicles arranged before them.

The signal was given and the Hanover vehicles gunned their engines and roared forward towards the South their orders were to halt for nothing, they were to break through the enemy defensive lines before them and the survivors were to move at full speed into the heart of France. Any that did survive, and many were expected due to their believed numbers advantage, would continue to push right into Paris the capital of France, here they would defeat any units left to defend Paris, if they reached it at all, and then to occupy the city.

For now the tanks, armoured vehicles and supporting units advanced towards battle at full speed, the gunners pressed against their sights ready to turn unrelenting and overwhelming amounts of firepower on any enemy unit they encountered. Behind the advancing force the Hanover artillery began a mass bombardment of expected enemy positions which included the city of Pirmasens which would come under the fire of hundreds if not thousands of guns. The artillery units would put out a very quick rate of fire but in doing so left themselves vulnerable to counter bombardment and attack from the air but even if they did come under fire they would continue their fire missions until death.

The might of the Hanover military had moved out and was now prepared to cut straight through the French and their allies defenses.

IC:

While the Japanese got a few lucky shots in, managing to down 10 of the ASBMs, it was not enough to deal with the others.  One per carrier could cause a critical failure in its ability to land and launch planes, but instead they were subjected to multiple hits, everythings on deck was launched as armor piercing warheads tore through them.  The ASBMs from the DF-21-Ds slammed into ship after ship of the Japanese Navy, within moments the carrier fleets of the Japanese navy were in moments sinking towards the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.  Each carrier began to split into several pieces as it sunk towards the bottom of the sea, while missile from the fleet slammed into escort ships around the out force of the Japanese fleet.  In total 70 of the missiles fired into the Japanese fleet slammed into the cruisers and destroyers of it, rendering them inoperable and sinking about half of them.  Also depriving the fleet of its aegis radar coverage.

Meanwhile in the air the picture was even bleaker as the F-22 force (substituting for the F-23 force with the end of custom units), tore into the growlers, destroying a good 3/4 while the remainder had little place to land, at the same time that the Japanese F-18 E/F force was shredded by the F-22s, F-15, and F-18 E/F attack forces.  F-22s were like a knife through butter against their lesser opponents and coordinated missile strikes with first the F-15 and F-18 forces and then the fleet.  By he time the Japanese F-18s entered harpoon range, 1 F-22, 8 F-15s, and 12 Super Hornets had been lost at the cost of 150 Japanese F-18 E/Fs, Growlers jamming incoming Harpoons, while F/A-18 E/Fs pounded the force of super hornets.

The super hornets in pursuit of the carrier taskforce soon entered range flying straight into the British surface fleet, which had positioned itself in between the carrier force moving away from the battle, and the Naval forces of the Japanese coalition.  They were in for hell as the surviving missiles were constantly jammed as they flew through the most powerful naval missile defense force on earth getting eaten alive, along with the Super hornets who had now expended all their missile defenses.  Missile after missile slammed into enemy missiles, while missiles shot up into the Super hornets who had now expended all the harpoons they could carry, were now forced to avoid surface to air missiles as they retreated.  F-15s and F-22s would form in around them, denying the Japanese F/A-18 E/Fs and E/A-18 Gs passage to France instead constantly harassing them.  Further complicating the situation, the forces had to move past Ireland, meaning the fleet of bugs simply had no place to land as they ran out of fuel.  Especially because they could not carry external fuel tanks.

The remaining harpoons that made it through had their terminal sensor constantly jammed by the E/A-18 Gs, which engaged the targets with AMRAAM missiles, downing a further 20%, this left of the 160 remaining, 120, by the time they reached the second line as frigates aegis radars combined with air borne radars picked up on them, jamming continued to be employed by the growler force, as an additional 90 missiles were dropped, evasive manuvers defeated a further 20, with jamming of terminal phase warheads constant, the weapons were near constantly off course (please note for those curious as to why this doesn't apply to DF-21, is because the harpoon is high subsonic, while the DF-21 is super sonic, so by the time jamming is in range on a DF-21 its 1 second out vs. several minutes).  The final go in was a mix chaff, CIWS, and evolved sparrow missiles, which defeated a further 60 missiles, this left 30, primarily striking the furthest in carriers, rendering two decks unable to launch planes and one significantly crippled as it headed back to Scapa Flow for repairs.

Meanwhile Global Hawk drones would provide fire support as the Hornet force was dealt with as growlers jammed the remaining frigates as destroyers and battleships closed to range, unleashing a torrent at 1200 kilometers of 300 SLAM-ER harpoon missiles firing straight into the Japanese naval fleets battleship and destroyer force, while super hornets pounded the battleships from above and a Ohio Class surfaced from the side, unleashing 172 harpoons at 90 kilometers range straight into the Japanese battleship fleet, before diving, with virginias waiting in ambush for the enemy sub force should it try and move to engage, all now without the presence of aegis missile defense systems and growlers along with EC-130 J stand offs jamming communications between the ships and any surviving aircraft.

Japan has proven once and for all that it has never stood for peace and goodwill-- it lies to the face of the world in espousing these ideals, only to turn to mass murder and chemical genocide against the victim of an unprovoked war. Perhaps the rest of Asia will stand to share a continent with this psychopathic regime-- perhaps they will even support it-- but Uriankhai absolutely will not. After bellicose behaviour, after suspected espionage against our own nation, after intervening in the affairs of other continents and risking war in Asia, Japan has just made its final, fatal mistake. Henceforth, the Uriankhai Confederacy recognises a state of war with the EAI, and will not relent until its warmongering, genocidal administration is dismantled. This disgusting blight of a nation must be culled from Asia, lest our own people suffer its uncontrollable lust for slaughter.

- President Khün Kuzevin

RQ-4 units that had previously been flying patrols over Uriankhai and Jilin as a component of Uriankhai's constant air surveillance policy were redirected towards Korea and Liaoning, soaring 60,000 feet over the surface and at this cozy distance employing their SAR-IMT and MR-RTIP systems in order to map out targets of interest on the ground such as military installations, supply depots, artillery, anti-aircraft facilities, and tanks. In the event of detection and attack, their AN/ALR-89 self-protection EW suites served in early warning and jamming capacities; failing that, each one was accompanied by an ALE-50 towed decoy system in order to distract radar-guided missiles whilst the RQ-4 units did their job. This process was repeated also over Japan itself, the RQ-4 units cruising along the course of the islands and identifying key military manufacturing and production assets. Even supposing they were shot down, the information they fed back to Air Command would prove invaluable once the assault truly began in earnest. This same process was repeated over the Japanese islands.

Immediately following this, the Uriankhai Air Force was deployed to act on the information gleaned from the RQ-4's surveillance. A squad of twelve B-2 Spirit strategic bombers dispatched from the air base at Jilin crossed the breadth of the province before 'stealthing up' as they entered the airspace over Korea; they essentially vanished from radars, their infinitesimal 0.1 m radar signature appearing only when their munition bays opened up to admit a payload of laser JDAMs upon large targets of interest such as fuel depots and prominent military bases. These bombs were both laser and satellite guided, each one equipped with an anti-jamming system to ensure they struck their target. Upon each successful bombing, the B-2s resumed stealth measures, once again reducing their already minute radar signatures until the next target was identified. Special attention was paid to Liaoning in particular. At the same time, the second B-2 squad was directed towards Japan, in order to conduct a similar bombing campaign targeting manufacturing facilities and cripple Japan's ability to sustain a continued military effort.

Back in mainland Asia, not long before the flight of the B-2s, Uriankhai deployed the Second and Third Field Armies of Army Group Jilin, based in Songyuan, and the First Field Army of Army Group Inner Mongolia, together a full force of 200,000 troops. The deployment was timed such that as the B-2 bombers concluded their campaign over Korea, the troops were just beginning to reach the border of Liaoning in order to take advantage of the devastation left in the wake of the bombing campaign, circumventing the Nulu'erhu mountains and entering through the flatlands to the northeast. The army's MLRS detachment hung back 200 kilometres from the border, and launched the ground operation with a barrage of high-explosive anti-tank munitions targeted at known military positions along the border of Liaoning, the augur of the Uriankhai army's arrival. Shortly thereafter, they disengaged and redeployed to avoid counter-battery operations, which could be predicted and tracked using the ARTHUR units attached to the army group.

In the meantime, the Second Field Army of Army Group Jilin began moving in to secure areas of interest and grind into dust any resistance from the Japanese military stationed there. This was conducted not in a mass wave of troops, but in relatively small, tactical, pinpoint assaults; this would deny the Japanese army the ability to simply hurl volleys of missiles at any one point in hopes of doing any sort of appreciable damage to the Uriankhai forces, and would force them to engage on Uriankhai's terms. Whilst they were pushing into Liaoning from the east, the First Field Army of Army Group Inner Mongolia began its manoeuvres from the west; they were to target key military installations, to cripple the Japanese government's presence in the region, annihilate its military (a significant bulk of which, it had been estimated, had been reserved for Liaoning, which meant once the army here was defeated the rest of Japan would be quite defenceless), and avoid civilian casualties if at all possible, though it could certainly not be put past the Japanese to throw their own civilians into harm's way if it meant an advantage.

And of course, all the while, the Uriankhai Air Force-- the Confederacy's primary hammer of war-- was flying missions overhead. Seven squadrons of 15 F-22s each, each squadron accompanied by six F-15K Slam Eagles configured for ground-attack, swept in to establish air dominance and take down any aircraft the Japanese military had currently in the air or managed to get off the ground; F-15Ks armed with anti-runway munitions targeted military airstrips in Liaoning uncovered by the RQ-4s, dropping payloads that penetrated into the concrete of the runways and detonated once, and then a second time to do further damage and make repair that much more costly and time-consuming. Meanwhile, seven groups of E-8 Growlers, F-15Ks, and EC-130Hs were employed to cripple Liaoning's military radar and communication capabilities, each squad boasting five Growlers, six F-15Ks, and one EC-130H; whilst the Growlers used their EW suites to defend the other aircraft from incoming air to air and surface to air missiles, the F-15Ks specially produced for their purpose in this doctrine were employed as SEAD (suppression of enemy air defence) units, using fire-control anti-radiation missiles to home in on and destroy sources of radio signatures such as radar and SAM units, or anti-armour cluster bombs for SAM units dispersed across a wide region. All along, the EC-130H units would be running missions to jam communications, radar, and command/control signatures, thus denying the Japanese early warning capabilities, the ability to maintain communication between ground and air forces, and any shot at a victory against Uriankhai forces. Far overhead, Uriankhai's satellite constellation was mobilised, focusing on the area of Korea and Japan in general, whilst the easternmost OTH-B station turned its attentions in that direction as well.

OOC: you were part of it, due to you using the original post you copypasted that from, and it later being wiped.

OOC: Nope, the post is not a carbon copy of the initial one from the first invasion, and I'm still not part of it. Even if the initial invasion could be argued to have been part of the war in Europe-- hint, it wasn't-- it was wiped on your demand.

The UCS is disgusted by the nuclear strikes against civilian population centers by the Japanese. Effective immediately all Japanese naval and air movement, be it civilian or military, is hereby forbidden from passing through the Caribbean. Any attempts to pass through the Caribbean will be met with force.

Classified
The UCS military worked quickly to lock the Caribbean down, whatever airforce that wasn't already patrolling the Caribbean was put into the air while the nation went to full alert. The UCS had already been monitoring Caribbean activity and would be able to determine Japanese movements. Meanwhile satellites which had noticed the nuclear strikes on the UK turned to Mexico to begin pinpointing Japanese positions while radar coverage would be extended into the former Tikalian lands to see what moves the Japanese made, if any. [Private to Carthage]

To: Office of the Prime Minister of Carthage

From: Office of the Directory of the Cisalpine Republic

Re: Troop Movements

Dear Sir,

I am writing to you to alert you and your government to current military movements in northern Italy. By the time you read this, Cisalpine surveillance drones will currently be flying over the Carthaginian protectorate in Venice, conducting reconnaissance of Alvonian positions across the border. We hope you will forgive the intrusion without prior warning, but it was necessary to make these moves in order to properly prepare Cisalpina's entry into the war against Alvonia and France.

In the coming hours, more Cisalpine aircraft will be flying over said Venetian protectorate to strike at targets in alpine Alvonia. We would also like to request permission for Cisalpine ground troops to temporarily occupy the city of Verona, as it's crossroads and nearby highway intersections are of extreme importance to the security of the Republic at this time. We once again apologise for not alerting you to our plans before hand, but time was of the essence.

I will see too it that a hamper of fine Italian goods is sent to you.

Sincerely,

Achille Oberti, Secretary-General of the Cisalpine Republic.

Having spent some time preparing, the Cisalpine Republic would enter the war. Their target would be Alvonia. Air patrols with JAS 39 fighters and AW&C aircraft were already up, ready to intercept any intruders into Cisalpine airspace. The first phase of the attack would come from the skies. Global Hawk drones would be used to locate and map Alvonian military positions in the border regions, while remaining within Cisalpine airspace, something quite easy to achieve given their very high altitude. They were looking for any outposts, fixed defences, radar stations, and anti-aircraft batteries along the Alvonian border (not just it's shared border with Cisalpina, but also it's borders with Helvetica and with the Carthaginian protectorate in Venice), and larger military installations; airfields, barracks, and depots. Global Hawk drones would also be used to watch the French/Helvetican border.

Once the mapping was complete, the initial attacks would come from JAS 39 fighters. They would strike at anti-air batteries and radar stations using ALARM anti-radiation missiles. Any that were missed on the first attack would be picked off in a second as soon as the fighters would return to base and refuel. Concurrent with this first wave of bombardment, Predator drones would be used to target and destroy Alvonian fixed defences and outposts, with a focus on the Adige River valley. The predators were considered disposable assets and little effort would be put into protecting them. While there was no huge reserve of drones, more could be produced faster and more easily than a whole new fighter.

Minutes after the initial SEAD strikes were complete, AMX ground attack aircraft - supported by fighters - would launch attacks on all known airfields, barracks, and depots. The second wave had taken off just after the first wave to ensure there was as little time between the two waves of attacks as possible, to limit the ability of Alvonian forces to respond. The survival of the pilots was deemed paramount, and they were ordered to retreat if there was a serious threat.

After the air strikes, ground forces would begin to move. Northern Switzerland had already been deserted by Cisalpine troops, in favor of more defensible terrain in the Alps - and they had had plenty of time to prepare. Reservists had been called up and were ordered to established anti-aircraft batteries across the countryside of the Po Valley. With Alpine Brigades “Julia” and “Cador” in Helvetica, Alpine Brigades “Taurinense” and “Orobica” together with “Tridentina” in reserve took up positions along the mountainous border with South Tyrol - specifically, they would fortify their positions at all the mountain passes and at Lake Idro and Lake Garda, preparing roadblocks and ambushes along the lakeside roads, as well as outposts in the mountains and hills. 3 Army Corps and Mechanised Division “Mantova” would take up positions north of Mantua, just on the border with the Carthaginian protectorate.

OOC: for clarification, the Cisalpine army is organised exactly like this, except it lacks the Triest Troops Command, X Territorial Command, XI Territorial Command, and Sardinia Territorial Command.

Some minutes after the air attacks, letters would be delivered to the Alvonian, Yugoslavian, and French representatives in the Cisalpine Republic containing the following declaration. The declaration would also be published online a few hours later:

Official Statement from the Senate of the Cisalpine Republic

With the recent outbreak of war on the European continent, the Senate of the Cisalpine Republic had hoped that a solution would be found diplomatically and with the utmost haste. However, it is clear that is not the case. The nations that now stand against our allies and friends have shown a blatant disregard for the basic principles of international cooperation. As per the Cisalpine-Romanian Treaty of Alliance, the Cisalpine republic recognises a state of War to exist between Alvonia, Yugoslavia, and France, and the Cisalpine Republic.

Per Vittoria!

The surviving planes on the French front of the Hanover air force would be loaded up with as many unguided bombs, rocket pods and air to ground missiles as they could carry or mount before lifting off from their airfields and making their way towards the French border. All planes would fly at tree top level to help efforts to avoid enemy radar systems, they would fly over the advancing ground troops and proceed to strike enemy ground defenses, troop concentrations and if possible enemy field stations and headquarters though any field hospital, likely displaying the internationally known red cross, would not be attacked under any circumstances. If engaged by enemy aircraft the Hanover planes would concentrate on evading and moving to strike enemy ground targets. If the planes survived unleashing their primary armaments they would move in to strafe enemy positions with their cannons.
