The government openly supplied Rio De Janerio in their campaign to unite the territory, now it seemed with Brazil united that it was important to push relations with the state. Ricardo Fontae would send a request to meet with Brazilian officials to discuss the possibility of a new treaty to strengthen ties between the two nations.
