Euphaia
Hungary-Slovakia strongly condemns the shooting on sight policy. In response to it, a temporary travel ban has been issued for Alvonia and all Hungary-Slovakian tourists and foreign nationals in Alvonia are to depart from Alvonia in the next 24 hours. All Alvonian foreign nationals also have 24 hours to leave Hungary-Slovakia and Poland as well, until such time as the Alvonian policy has been revised. Furthermore, any Hungary-Slovakian or Polish foreign national shot by Alvonia will be treated as an act of hostility against Hungary-Slovakia. Markus Wilding
So long as there are no Hungary-Slovakian or Polish nationals attempting to enter Alvonia illegally, they will not be fired up. Legal and proper immigration and visitation is perfectly fine.
Euphaia
While we would never condone illegal immigration, we also cannot condone someone being shot on sight, rather than being warned first, and if warranted, detained. Your policy would have you shooting and killing non-combatants, and even worse yet, a wayward and most likely lost and confused child. Markus Wilding
The alternative is allowing them to step on a minefield.
Euphaia
Minefields Alvonia was asked multiple times to remove. And there is a third and forth alternative to having a child either shot and killed or maimed by a mine. 1)more move the mines as you once were asked to do. 2) Detain the person/child rather than outright shoot and kill them. Once again Hungary-Slovakia reiterates its warning: any person, and especially so a child, that is shot and killed on sight, will be views as an open act of hostility against our country, and any response will reflect such. Uberstein
The FUSAR finds the posturing of Hungary-Slovakia to be hilarious, just as much as the draconian policies of the Alvonian government, and offers to sell this amazing invention called a fence to either side that wants to keep people from accidentally wandering across the border. Euphaia
Hungary-Slovakia advises Alvonia to buy one, remove the mines, and revise its draconian border crossing policy.
Rudolph
Public "While the Kingdom can see problems with the mines to begin with, it is entirely up to Alvonia and Alvonia alone to decide their border policy, no one else. Anything above that is draconian and tyrannical to enforce upon an unwilling nation. Thus, the Kingdom suggests that Hungary look inward instead of looking outward. In other words, 'much ado about nothing' as William Shakespeare said best." Respectfully,Kralj Dragojev Belojevic
Euphaia
Our biggest concern is the unnecessary and draconian shoot on sight policy instated by Alvonia, where a simple warning and if warranted detaining, or a good fence, would work just as well and would save innocent lives. An innocent, lost, wayward child could easily be shot and killed.
Uberstein
"With all this talk of lost, wandering children, one has to wonder if the Hungarians have some kind of machine designed to launch them over the border to start a war! Rudolph
Public "Like the Kingdom has stated, the reasoning has merits but the scenario presented as such is more probably to be a one in a trillion chance to happen. Desperation and necessity is the main factor, even in the face of death. To understand the causes as to why a person would feel that way, a country has to look at itself to solve the problems that move a person to feel that desperate to cross illegally to another nation for a better life. The reality is that unless a person has malicious intents to cause a political incident or desperation to seek a better life in another country, an innocent child will not be anywhere near the border unless the towns are respectively within walking distance. As such, the Kingdom sees no issue with Alvonia's procedures as it is entirely within their right to do so as a sovereign nation." Evangeline Anovilis
"The Romanian nation holds that the minefield at Alvonia's border is a security hazard, as is a policy of shooting at sight. We would hope the border to get properly demarkated, as well as demilitarised, however, we will join Yugoslavia in their beliefs that it is up to Alvonia to decide whether it is worth doing so or not. Naturally, should any Magyar be maimed or killed due to Alvonian mines or border guards firing at them, we reserve for ourselves the decision whether it is worth it to remove hazards to our allies from this border and recognise a casus foederis." -Mihaela Constante, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greater Romania
Markus Wilding
Both the border and any minefields are very clearly marked on the Alvonian side. Anyone who ventures into areas that are clearly marked as either Alvonian or mined do so on their own risk.

Euphaia
Hungary-Slovakia holds to its position that should any Hungary-Slovakian or Polish foreign national be shot on sight, rather than being turned away or detained, it will be dealt with and responded to as an open act of Agression and hostility towards Hungary-Slovakia. Rudolph
Public "The Kingdom holds the position that such an act would be seen as tyrannical and disruptive of European stability and peace, and as such would prompt the Kingdom to act in the name of European peace. We strongly urge the Hungaria-Slovakia to rethink its current policy with regards to Alvonia's border policy." Euphaia
We will take Yugoslavia's suggestion under advisement, but hold to our own advisement to Alvonia to strongly consider to revise their 'shoot on sight' border policy, lest it lead to an unfortunate mishap occuring. Markus Wilding
Private to Alvonia Hungary-Slovakia is very alarmed to hear that, after ourselves having been threatened with war by your government, that the same treatment has just very recently been given towards our ally, Nordisk Rike, by Alvonia. Even more concerning is the fact that Nordisk Rike is actually one of Alvonia's own allies, and yet Alvonia still chose to act so aggresively towards them. It leaves the Hungary-Slovakian government to wonder, if Alvonia is so willing to act in such an aggressive manner towards it's own ally, just how much weight and import does Alvonia give to Non-Aggression Pacts that it has signed, and if Alvonia is really even willing and able to honor and uphold such pacts? Private reply What we negotiated and the agreement between ourselves and the Nordisk Rike are different circumstances. The agreement with the Nordisk Rike was one borne out of need due to an aggressive Romania and Prussia, and seeing as both of those states no longer exist there is no longer a need for that agreement to exist. Our meeting in Vienna was unfortunately soured due to misunderstandings neither of our states foresaw. As we have said multiple times in different venues, Alvonia has no quarrel with Hungary-Slovakia. Our only intentions are to protect our people first and foster mutual good intentions and regional security second. The Nordisk Rike, in our eyes, violated those concerns of ours and we had no choice but to react. While we in Vienna are disheartened to hear that Hungary-Slovakia doubts Alvonian intentions, we will do our part to make sure no accidents occur on our side of the border and will uphold the agreement we signed. - Foreign Minister Finn Powers
Euphaia
Private Your government has now threatened war against both Hungary-Slovakia, and now against an ally to both of our nations, all in the same week. Such aggression and threats towards both us and our ally, have put the still-drying Non Aggression Pact between Hungary-Slovakia and Alvonia in very serious risk of being cancelled. Needless to say, should any further aggression or threats be made toward Nordisk Rike, Hungary-Slovakia, as an ally of the Nordisk Rike, will have absolutely no other choice but to not only cancel our NAP with Alvonia, but to immediately mobilize. Alvonia should count itself very fortunate that Hungary-Slovakia hasn't given Alvonia exactly one week to complete leave Lower Silesian. Euphaia
Private In light of threats to one of Hungary-Slovakia by your government, and continued aggressive posturing by Alvonia, I regret to inform you that in 24 hours Hungary-Slovakia will be cancelling the Non-Aggression Pact. That is, unless Alvonia ceases it's aggressive posturing and rescinds it's one-week ultimatum given to the Nordisk Rike, within the next 24 hours. Euphaia
"As a favor to our ally Yugoslavia, we are willing to uphold the Non Aggression Pact, return to Defcon 5, and even to do what we can to get our ally Nordisk Rike to depart Poland. In return, all we ask is that the 7-day war ultimatum be officially rescinded."
Euphaia
Private As a courtesy and in respect for the ongoing negotiations, Hungary-Slovakia, in good faith, has extended our NAP until 6 PM (OOC: Central Time) tommorow evening. Ofcourse, should everything go as planned with the negotiations, the NAP will be extended into the foreseeable future.
Euphaia
(My last post for at least three days) Private to Alvonia Hungary-Slovakia has once again saved Alvonia from a costly war, despite Alvonia's near unwillingness to compromise. Hungary-Slovakia fully intends to uphold the Non-Agression Pact with Alvonia into the foreseeable future. However, Hungary-Slovakia has offered it's last appeasement to an aggressive and nearly unreasonable Alvonia. No more appeasement. We give Alvonia a fair warning: The next time Alvonia makes demands, ultimatums, or threats to Hungary-Slovakia, Belarus, or Nordisk Rike, should Alvonia not carry out any promises it made in our latest agreement, or should Alvonia ever attempt to contain or surround Hungary-Slovakia, Hungary-Slovakia will consider it as Alvonia's immediate termination of our Non Aggression Pact. No exceptions. A treaty is a treaty, the terms are the terms; an agreement is an agreement; a promise is a promise. No exceptions. Hungary-Slovakia will uphold it's side of the agreement, and fully expects Alvonia to uphold it's side of the agreement. Alvonia has been fairly forewarned.
