Greywall Posted August 29, 2014 Report Share Posted August 29, 2014 Presidential Candidates Jean Hollande - French Party Hollande is currently the Vice President of the United Guyana Republic, he served under President Yeremiah Wimbledon and has the most experience out of the group running. He is head of the French party and a key proponent in pushing for a larger military, expanding foreign relations and building the UGR up as a political power. Victor Pollock - Guyana Republican Party Pollock is a congressman and chief representative of the Guyana Republican Party, Pollock has been rather quiet leading up to the elections until the party announced him to be their prime candidate. Several within Cayenne see Pollock as Wimbledon's proper successor carrying the same ideals and political ambitions as the President. Pollock plans to continue strengthening South America and push Guyana's role in the NWO further. Rico Mendoza - Union Party Rico Mendoza is a former lumber worker from South Guyana, Originally from Tikal he migrated to the territory several years ago and was an avid supporter of the Unification Treaty. However Mendoza has been extremely vocal about the lack of programs being launched to end poverty in the Southern regions of the Republic. He formed the Union party and plans to focus most of his attention to the domestic problems that remain in the UGR. Mendoza is against foreign relations outside of the Americas and would like to see the UGR push the NWO further beyond a defense bloc. Congressional Elections Guyana Republican Party One of the first political parties to form from the unification treaty. The GRP has held power within Guyana ever since the treaty was signed, they keep a balance of growth within the nation, building up military power and establishing foreign relations with anyone but with a priority toward American nation states. The GRP has been criticized for trying to make everyone within the political structure happy and producing mediocre results, but the GRP has nonetheless run the country efficiently, helped found the NWO and prevent rampant spending during Wimbledon's term. the Union party Formed and headquarted in the Southern region, The Union Party was founded to represent the more impoverished people of the UGR. They focus more on domestic issues and keep relations close to home opting for better relations with American nations. Plans to still or even cut military spending is in their set of goals in order to divert money into education and social programs The French Party based in French Guiana they are focused on building military power and structuring more restraint on the market, they plan to push for more foreign relations and increase trade overseas. The French Party is often accused of being warhawks as they're often the party within congress pushing for bigger military spending, more weapons development and increased action in Brazil against militants. Congress is heavily divided with the French Party and Guyana Republican Party taking 74% of the seats while the Union party takes a paltry 25%.
