Upon arrival the diplomatic team would be taken by armored black Lexus LS 600h from the airport to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where Osamu Saito would be waiting to greet them. "Welcome to Tokyo gentlement, what can the Imperium do for you today?"

First, we would like to maintain peaceful and cooperative ties with the Imperium of Japan. We could both benefit from having another ally. If you would like to maintain an embassy in Antarctica we would happily set one up for you. We would be happy to do anything else.

On the business end of things, our nation would like to purchase lands that you protect. Since the Americas are off limits and the Azores, being the next suitable location, are being eyed by the British, we do not have many suitable locations for integrating land into our nation outside the cold of the Antarctic. The Imperium of Japan protects a vast amount of land that we might find of use for future endeavors.

We would like to purchase at least 2502 miles of land, or about 4002 kilometers, from your protectorates. The land would be flat and proximity to water would not be an issue. We may be willing to purchase more land and would gladly pay more for more land. Are there any available locations within your protectorates?

"That would have to more than likely be multiple islands with that much land... Nendo, would meet the land requirements but is not entirely flat, If you'd like to tell me more about what you planned on doing with the islands perhaps we could come up with better locations from our Pacific holdings. As for Embassies we will transfer the needed funds to build and maintain an embassy. We have facilities available for your use in Tokyo, and if you'd like can set up consulates in the other Imperium capitals. While we generally do not jump into relationships in which we would be required to defend others immediately, we could offer a treaty of none aggression and mutual economic assistance, also known as a Peace, Intelligence, and Aid Treaty."

We plan to use the land to build a space center to start up our space program. If the land were larger than the requested area, we may build a port city to open up trade by sea. Is there any vacant land in the Australian mainland?

We shall be sending an ambassador to Tokyo soon. Construction of an embassy will begin immediately for use by your nation.

And while a non aggression treaty would be supported by our nation, it is not necessary for one to be created if your nation is not entirely willing.

"Nendo would probably be the best option unless you wishes to move into one of the smaller Indonesian islands, mainland Australia will not be divvied up to foreign powers, it would go against the beliefs of the former Union of the Southern Cross. as for your space program, we can assist in such matters if you'd like, we have one of the more advanced space programs, and if your need is immediate our facilities are available, including Mitsubishi Heavy Industries manufactured rockets if required."

We will take you up on your offer for Nendo.

While our need for the space program is not urgent, we would like to  have advisors for construction so we can make use of the most efficient systems for the space center. Once it is complete, we may be willing to buy other resources necessary for our endeavors.

Simply name your price and we will gladly pay.

And, since we would be purchasing Nendo, would the rest of the Santa Cruz islands be available for purchase as well? With the Antarctic in control of the largest Island in the area, it would be easier to manage the rest of the islands that way. They could also prove to be filled with knowledge yet to be discovered. We would pay extra for the inclusion of the rest of the islands.

"We have numerous companies able to assist in development of a space facility, as well as help in construction techniques if you'd like, we've been building wonders for decades now after all." He would fiddle with his cell phone for a few moments before an assistant came out with a paper copy of the following, handing it over to the Antarctic Federation delegation."

We do plan to have an integrated military base with the space station, however they will only be servicing the island. They won't be present outside the Santa Cruz islands. To reassure you, we will allow Japanese forces to maintain close contact with our forces in the area. Japan would always be welcome on the island.

"That sounds acceptable, just don't want the rest of the world feeling they need Pacific Island military bases and causing an arms race within our backyard. If you have any questions or changes you'd like to see to our treaty feel free to mention them, otherwise I believe that should cover everything."
