The real reason for allowing an above ground nuclear test was for the Imperium to experiment with a new type of micro machine, able to "eat" radiation, so far only laboratory tests have been tried, what was known it had the most effectiveness being used before a nuclear event occurred, a large number of fishing vessels equipped with nets to fill the surrounding oceans with the nanites were sent to the area

:Classified to Druk Yul:

"We shall be enacting our own test upon the Bikini Atoll in approximately three days. As a display of our interest in Asian Cooperation, should our test be a success we will share the radiation scrubber technology with your government in order to ensure that nuclear warfare is no longer a long term problem to Asian nations, as one of the few surviving victims of nuclear terrorism, we do not wish to ever see Asia forced to suffer through its effects again. This should provide your nation with adequate information upon the effects of a nuclear blast upon an island and radiation's movements in an aquatic environment, as well as potentially provide our salvation.

Signed under the authority granted by Her Imperial Majesty,

-Ayumu Kurosawa, Imperium of Japan Minister of Science and Technology

We were just going to observe the results of previous tests, but we will check the island to make sure it is currently not in inhabited and then observe your tests. If that is okay. We will make sure the islands caretakers are properly evacuated.

There is only four Imperium citizens currently on the island, all employed by our Ministry of Defense, and we will be evacuating them once their work setting up the test is complete. we will be reusing the Castle Bravo location for your reference to ensure your vessels and equipment is properly set up where needed before our test begins.
