Greywall
Following approval from the Congressional Assembly of the United Guyana Republic, a research team from the university of Cayenne has rebuilt and resumed research operations at Rothera. Over 67 researchers including university interns will be conducting extensive research over Antarctica. Publicly, Rothera isn't much more than a research station and only it itself is technically part of the UGR. The United Guyana Republic does not make claims over any territory of Antarctica save the facility and invites other researchers and scientist from other countries to the facility. Restored Rothera research station. Head of station: Miguel Padron Types of research: medical, geographic, meteorological research, mineral research. Open year round, supplied by United Guyana and protected by the Republican Guard. 15 armed guards on duty for security only.
Greywall
Rothera researchers have begun extensive study on the raw ore located along the northern coast of Antarctica, a large camp several miles east of rothera station has been built and several samples of ore are being tested to determine what resources might lie in Antarctica. A second team is staying put at rothera station with head researcher Miguel padron, currently overlooking information recorded by a new program that predicts the growth and spread of numerous diseases, this program could help better understand certain diseases that currently as of now are difficult to treat due to speed of infection. Padron stated once the program is perfected and with approval from congress it will be handed out to the international community.
Chicago Noise
A small research team from the United Amur Republics National University in Harbin have filed for permission to come to Rothera station for meteorological and geological research purposes. Greywall
The amur research team would be allowed into rothera, a dorm would be reserved for them to stay at as they were warned of the extreme temperatures of Antarctica and the dangers of sending teams outside the station. They would be allowed to travel throughout the facility freely and conduct their own research or help in Guyana projects.
Vedran
A small four-member research team from the Université Laval in the Federation has applied to join the next crew rotation at Rothera. They intend to pursue projects related to oceanography and marine biology, and hope to stay for the duration of the austral summer season. Greywall
Permission has been granted to the federation to conduct their research, a dorm will be given to them and they will have access to the facilities freely. Due to the increase in population, rothera has ordered an early shipment of supplies from Guyana. There are two dorms left on the facility for other nations to join, once filled it is unlikely that resources will be committed to expanding the station for the time being. Studies have shown deposits of copper and platinum laying on the Northern coastline of Antarctica, these rare and valuable ores are worth more than gold but researchers state that mining them could potentially damage the environment. To prevent companies from racing down to harvest the ores, Padron has requested Guyana proclaim protection of the coastline North of Rothera for environmental reasons. United Guyana has declared the region protected to prevent mining damaging the region and that companies even from Guyana will not be allowed to mine the platinum. An update on the disease tracking program is at 67% accuracy, researchers believe the program could be perfected and completed within the next month. With the ore study over, the first Guyana team is taking a break at the facility interacting with the new arrivals from Amur and the Federation of the Atlantic. The next project will be to study and observe local wildlife. Data is currently being gathered, with analysis to be done at a later time.
Kevin Kingswell
A small research team from the Russian Empire would make a request to work and live at the research station. In the interests of national security however, any guards for the actual research labs must be from the Russian Empire.
Greywall
Due to the tension between the amur republics and Russian empire we must ask the amur research team if it is ok with them, and only republican guard security are allowed on the station, the station is funded and supplied by the ugr and having armed men from another country would cause problems. Chicago Noise
"I do not mean to fan flames, I am just a researcher, but I think it would be imprudent for a United Guyana station to have its security staffed by a foreign nation. We would welcome working and even collaborating with Imperial Russian scientists as a way of bridging the gap between our peoples. Tensions not withstanding, I feel as though Guyana should supply security staff, as that was the condition we were under the impression research would be conducted under. However, ultimately, it is United Guyana's research station, and it is their choice to make." -Dr. Bo Xinping, PhD, leader of UAR Rothera Research Team. Greywall
As of this moment we cannot allow military personnel from the Russian empire or any other faction or nation. Our security forces are simply to maintain the peace and provide protection for the research teams, they in no way are here to interfere with projects or push ugr political ambition this is a simple research station that already has security personnel. I am sorry but it stands only researchers are allowed on the station. - Miguel padron head of rothera station.
Kevin Kingswell
Hmm very well. It was only a request after all. Then we will accept security provided by the current security forces stationed at the research station. Is it still acceptable for a research team to travel and work here from the Russian Empire?". Greywall
Access has been granted for the Russian security team, a dorm will be provided. Welcome to rothera
Kevin Kingswell
"Thank you" came the reply and the research team of ten scientists would leave for the research station with some man portable equipment and belongings. Vedran
The Federation researchers soon came along by ship, and got settled in at the station. They would spend most of their day in the field, taking samples and readings from the nearby ocean before returning to the station shortly before nightfall. The team was mainly graduate students, with one former professor.
Hereno
Rothera would receive a radio transmission: With the fall of the Indian state, Sri Lanka has taken on the costs of operating the Bharati research station in the Larsemann Hills area within the Antarctic circle. Our current task is to research the geological history of the Indian subcontinent, and we currently have a full staff of 13 members. Let us know if you'd like samples from our region, or if you're in need of supplies, and we'll see how we can help you out. Over.

Greywall
Guyana researchers have finished a disease tracking program that will accurately give data on over 400 disease causing organisms and how they spread. The program will hopefully help in the prevention of an outbreak and has been burned onto thousands of disc CDs and are currently being shipped to the nations around the globe for free. rok
The Antarctic Federation seeks to send a diplomatic mission to Rothera Research station to discuss affairs on the running of the station and hopefully strengthen ties between our two nations. Greywall
Station Miguel Padron was a scientist, not a diplomat, he sent a transmission to Cayenne to bring in a diplomat from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Being flown in by small plane, Angelia Schumacher a Prussian-Guyanese diplomat would take care of the diplomacy. A section of the station was made available for the meeting while Padron explained to the foreign research teams what was happening at Rothera. It being a research station supported and funded by United Guyana for better cooperation among the international community it will hopefully stay that way.
