[Notice of Increased Military Production]

 

After taking into account the current stockpiles and logistical needs of the Imperial Armed Forces, the Officio Tactica has a authorized an ninety percent increase in military production. Extreme emphasis will be placed on increasing the nation's munitions stockpiles. Five thousand SAM missiles (for each type of SAM) will be manufactured. An additional four thousand supersonic anti-ship missiles will be constructed. Additional artillery shells will also be manufactured.

The Imperium of Parthia has decided to expand it's "Desert Reclamation" program to the newly annexed territories of Iraq and Northern Arabia. The Levant will also be introduced to the program. In addition, an extensive refurbishing program will be started on rail lines in the Middle East and Levant. The refurbishment program is designed to bring the annexed territories rail lines up to modern standards. High-Speed Rail, based in Parthia, will be extended into the annexed territories in order to provide a fast and capable means of transportation to the entire Empire.

The End to Famine, Proposed Joint Arability Project.

 

We are looking at a way to boost the arability of normally unusable regions of Central Asia. We have been monitoring your desert recalmation programs and wanted to suggested a project which could very possibly fulfill all need for water in our states and radically accelerate agricultural development.

 

The project posits that we agree to exchange water at a fixed rate over time and create nation-wide water distribution systems which interlink at our borders. When one of us has a drought, we can pump in the excess reserves of the other. By linking this in to desalinization plants, of which we have ten planned for our Indian Ocean border cities, we could potentially eliminate the threat of doubt and famine in all of our regions altogether. Capacity of the system could of course be upgraded and enhanced over time. Basically, we treat water like the precious commodity we recognize it to be, just like oil, and pump it where it is needed.

Hidden within the swaths of paperwork related to the "Desert Reclamation Act", the Administratum had allocated funding to the "Imperial Underground Rail Network." Throughout the thousands of acres of barren desert, large underground burrowing machines worked in tandem, excavation dozens of tunnel paths. These paths would be excavated throughout the entirety of the Imperium. After completion, thousands of miles of rail would be placed. Due to the size of the tunnels being excavated, there would be a enough room for two different systems. One system would be a dedicated freight line, exclusively used to transport equipment for the Imperial Armed Forces. The second line would be a high speed/bullet train line, used for the rapid transport of military personnel to areas throughout the Imperium.

 

The underground system would also be used to transport important officials during time of war. For that reason alone, the tunnel will be able to withstand multiple hits from nuclear weapons in the megaton(s) range.

The Officio Tactica has authorized the re-opening of numerous aircraft production lines in the Imperium. Over six hundred thirty additional aircraft will be manufactured, for immediate loss replacements in case of conflict. After manufacturing, these aircraft will be placed in hundreds of underground storage facilities that will be able to withstand multiple nuclear multiple hits from nuclear weapons in the megaton(s) range. The Departmento Munitorum has also authorized the recruitment of five hundred thousand additional airmen.

In a move to test the readiness of the entire Imperial Navy, the Departmento Munitorum has initiated "The Emperor's Sword". The Naval exercise will take place simultaneously in the Indian and the Mediterranean Ocean. The exercise will simulate amphibious landings, submarine operations, and surface combat operations. Exercises will then culminate with a simultaneous ABM test in the Mediterranean and Indian Ocean, using Imperial Naval assets.

As ordered by the Emperor of Parthia and the High Council of Parthia, the Imperial Guard is, hereby, moved to Medium Alert status. The Imperial Mediterranean Fleet will be dispached to the Indian Ocean to reinforce naval assets in that theatre of operations. The Imperial SOSUS has also been placed at maximum alert; while, all RADAR networks will be switched to to anti-jamming frequencies. All Ocean Indian assets will be placed on High Alert, as well.

 

Inside of the Imperium, all Air Defense Districts and Ground Force districts were placed on High Alert.

Across the Imperium, the Imperial Air Force was placed on High Alert. All bombers were ordered to disperse in order to avoid a single decapitation strike. In addition to dispersing, these bombers were to be fueled and armed to prepare for immediate strikes against supposed targets of oppurtunity. Fighter Squadrons would follow the same protocols. ICBMs and IRBMs were placed on High Alert.

 

The Air Force would dispatch two AWACs, three EWAC, and one JSTAR aircraft to begin patrol duties. These units would work to assist the Imperial Naval presence in the area.

 

The entire Imperial Navy will be dispatched twenty kilomenters east of the Maldives. The Fleet will assume a defensive posture, with CAP and Anti-Submarine defenses in place. The Fleet will begin taking all other precautions, such as comprehensive RADAR jamming and constant changes of radio frequencies.

Our OTH and coastal sonar net has noticed your fleet moving near to Maldives. They're also running active jamming patterns. We assume this is in response to Europe, but we'd like to know what's going on so we can support or react accordingly.  What threat do you perceive in the Indian? Are you concerned about Japan? Who is it you are concerned will soon be acting in our back yard.

Over three thousand IRBM's have been placed on high alert throughout the Imperium. Most of these launchers have been dispersed through the nation, on various mobile devices. As ordered by the Officio Tactica, production lines have been activated in order to produce fifty IRBMs a day, with one hundred scheduled to be produced a day once production lines reach full potential.

As part of the Imperial Navy's wartime authority, command of the merchant marine fleet was transferred to the High Command of the Imperial Navy's Sealift Command. Hundreds of auxiliary ships were placed on stand-by to provide immediate replenishment and sealift to vessels in the Indian Ocean. As ordered by the Imperial Navy, over three thousand munitions of all types were to be released for possible operations.

 

On the ground, over three hundred thousand troops received orders for immediate deployment, the largest since the Great Western Crusade. All of these troops would be mobilized from the Central Empire and dispatched to the Parthian Indian Protectorate. As ordered by the Departmento Munitorum, all divisions in the Empire will be brought up to combat ready status.

As ordered by the Departmento Munitorum, an additional three hundred thousand troops have received orders for deployment into the Indian Protectorate.

The logistical might of the Empire was running at full capacity as thousands of vehicles (four thousand tanks, ten thousand armoured vehicles, and four thousand assorted self propelled artillery pieces) moved into position into the eastern border regions of the Parthian Indian Protectorate. Most formations were grouped in dispersed formations under heavy combat air patrols.

 

In a surprise move, one hundred thousand troops from the Levant were placed into the active reserve and transferred to the Adeptus Arbites. Despite the move being disputed by the Imperial Guard, the Emperor deemed the move necessary in order to provide an unprecedented level of security during these "difficult" times. Of course, if the situation turned hot, these troops would be brought back to active service within forty eight hours.

 

The Command-in-Chief of the Imperial Air Force authorized the call up of fifty thousand reserve service men. Fifty F-22 Air Superiority Fighters and twenty Northrop Grumman EA-6B Prowlers were released from the "Reserve Force". Of course, these aircraft would have to go through a two day inspection before being brough into active service.

As ordered by the Imperial High Council of Persepolis under the full authority of the Emperor of Parthia, a curfew is to be initiated across the entire Imperium. The Adeptus Arbites has been given the task of enforcing the curfew.

 

In accordance to Special Report No.1, all national authorities must prepare for nuclear and bio/chemical warfare. All important bunkers and other facilities were to be activated within the next twenty four hours.

All combat formations were declared "functional" as the massive mobilization to the east was now complete. Now formations were just waiting for the order to move forward. Each Division had one SAM regiment, which had twenty allocated Patriot Missile Systems (between four and six "line per batteries" system). These systems were now fully operation, along with IRON DOME systems (four allocated to each division with Three/Four launchers, each carrying 20 interceptors.) and the systems in each air defense district.

 

AESA systems were now tracking foreign emissions inside Imperium Air Space, as well.

Any further RP from this point in order to prepare for the Asian war will be considered "on-hold" for purposes of interaction with Druk Yul. The global war needs to catch up with Asia. There is a several week gap in time which could have an impact on the out come of any possible conflict.

With activity in space at an all time high, the Imperium of Parthia has initiated a large number of defensive protocols designed to protect the nation's vast network of satellites. In order to prevent a single decapitation strike, over two dozen mobile ground control stations have been activated. In case ground controls are interrupted, all satellites will switch to autonomous operations. Proliferation-Redundant Nodes will also be put in place.

 

In addition. launch sites have been placed on stand-by for rapid reconstitution operations.

With the collapse of Druk Yul, the Imperium hereby declares a protectorate over the territory.

Protest erupted across the former nation of Druk Yul as Imperium troops began to descend into the former nation. Thousands of citizens, dressed in handmade dragon costumes would greet Parthian troops at every corner.  "Look at these vermin, chanting in the name of mythological beast.", one soldier remarked as he led his squad through a small border town. From Persepolis, the Ecclesiarchy issued a decree banning the worship of dragons in the former territories of Druk Yul. "This worship of faery tale mythological creatures is both heretic and a danger to the well-being of one's sanity. This dangerous cult will be wiped from Druk Yul and the world. The Emperor has deemed it necessary."

 

Special agents from the Ecclesiarchy began a campaign of elimination in Druk Yul. Tools of dragon worship were burned; while, thousands of dragon cultist were arrested and dispatched to re-education camps. Meanwhile, Parthian troops took over the command center for the ARES satellite network. Nations, listed as non-allied, would lose their access as engineers researched the system. "So far, it would appear that this system was merely a tool of propaganda.", stated one unnamed engineer. "We're supposed to able to track everything in real time; yet, we lost sight of a single freighter. It would seem Druk Yul military experts overstated the usefulness and capabilities of their own system."
