This republic is ruled by a citizens government in which the members are randomly selected in a drawing called the re-roll. Baffin Island is the longest-lasting Canadian nation since the fall of Canada itself. The Hudson Kingdom is the addition to Baffin Island, which makes it the B.H.R. This is a parliamentary republic ruled with a Prime Minister and a Senate, both elected, and then the royal family, the Roosevelts, at the top. This republic fights when they feel is nessesary and will not stand down. To be a citizen, you must swear your loyalty to the royal family. Must approve of oneself being in the drawing Must be 16 years of age Must be a citizen of Baffin-Hudson Must live in Baffin-Hudson Must not have commited a felony Article III: Being elected To be elected in parliament, one must meet any and all requirements. Must approve of one self being in the running Must have the popular vote Must swear allegiance to the royal family Must be 21 years of age Must be a citizen of Baffin-Hudson Must live in Baffin-Hudson Must not have commited a felony Article IV: Rights All citizens have rights. There basic rights are as followed. Right to life Right to liberty Right to pursuit of happiness Right to have an attorney Right to have a militia Right to protest Right to bear arms Right to use weapons Right to education Right to public appearence Right to an occupation Right to be free Article V: Independence It is totally legal for a group in Baffin Island or Hudson Kingdom to declare independence, so long as they notify the governments of their independence. Article VI: States Rights Each republic has the right to multiple actions. As the Federation is unsure of the level of industrial development in Baffin, the new government would be welcome to place orders with Federation companies to help build up its military strength. In addition, the Federation offers its assistance in helping Baffin coast guard services patrol their waters, and is willing to contribute the services of a Coast Guard icebreaker for this purpose. We have 1,000 troops there, who will take down our bases and bring anything left-over that is useful into our nations fleet, and go back to Baffin. Any unwanted rubble such as old walls, wood, anything part of the old bases will be left for the Tikal and Rio animal felons, or whoever is assigned by the rich no-good politicians to clean it up. We will then be set to DEFCON 3 until and hostility towards Baffin fades away. We will not negotiate with the terrorists in Rio and Tikal until we feel Rio is appreciative enough to realize that there city is in need of help. We will block all communications with Tikal government for the next 6 months. Finally, we will make sure that the members of these two nations do not pass into Baffin unless with a passport, ID, and a paying entrance. Have a nice day." And citizens that qualify and accept the possible duty of government, regardless of the position should sign the acceptance form(s) as soon as possible, as the randomization will begin with out warning sometime within the next week. For foreign governments, that means that you should be prepared for a possible change in behavior and goal from the nation soon, and that certain things that current government said may not be the case for the new governors. All government positions will be appointed at the same time, and the announcement will be made in capital square, and televised live on Baffin Government Network as well as select foreign networks approved by the networks. Our nation believes that this random selection of government is the best way to represent "ruled by the people", and that it defines that better that a "republic", or "democracy". It guarantees that the victor did not win just because of "money" or "fame". Also, our government positions pay very small. The pay for president would be no more than $10,000 a year for the 7 years of president. We are not the corrupt, we are the free. We are not the rich, we are the ones that follow the tradition of barter. We are the Baffin Island. Canada's Finest. They also claim it as a protectorate until a claim on the land is requested, and Baffin feels that the nation may be trusted. We'd have no objection in sharing our facilities with you so long as you stop this vain effort to try to control something at such a distance it logistically makes no sense without foreign support."
