Tongzhi Official Address
"Đó là một giờ tối cho chúng tôi hôm nay" began Huong Nguyen when a tiếng Việt translator began to speak over her in your native language. An interpreter soon followed for the deaf audience members.
"It is a dark hour for us today, as you all are aware, Tongzhi came under attack last night by several aircraft that have been identified as C-17 Transport Aircraft.
Around 9:06 PM, Approximately 18 aircraft were identified on Radar. After several warnings from Tongzhi Aerial Forces, The Tongzhi government had no choice but to shoot the aircraft down as at the time the aircraft could not be identified as attack or transport aircraft. Upon the falling of the aircraft, civilian patrol ships were scattering to the wreckage to attempt to gather any survivors and determine the origin of attack. Before the patrol ships could arrive to any wreckage, the government of Cascadia accepted responsibility for the attacks and apologized for an apparent Rogue Colonel's attacks on our new Thailand protectorate.
While Tongzhi is understanding that mistakes happen, and that people can generally be 'evil'; we ask the Cascadian government to recognize that an estimated several thousand lives were ended over travesty that could have been prevented easily. We ask that Cascadia at this time begin to take preventative measures from a mistake such as this happening again, as well as petition for such a low ranking military official to have a large amount of power and ability to launch an invasion with approval. At this time, Tongzhi will not be taking any economic or military actions against Cascadia. The Tongzhi government is also in acceptance of the United States Government putting forces near Thailand if they still see it as fit to do so.
Tongzhi will as well be working with regional powers such as Japan and Druk Yal over the coming weeks to further establish a more secure and organized Thailand.
Have a great day!"
Huong Nguyen walks off the stage as the crowd begins to applaud.
