They have antagonised the Philippines. In the past, Hawaii attempted to annex territory in continental North America. And now? We have serious evidence of Hawaiian activities in South America. This is the last straw. The Principality of Tikal hereby offers Hawaii one last ultimatum. The Government of Hawaii is to surrender into Tikalian custody. Hawaii will cease all 'Sovereign Socialist' activity. Hawaii will remove all personnel, without exception, from locations that are not the Hawaiian islands - this being the Hawaiian Islands and no arbitrary extension of this. The Military of Hawaii will stand down and disarm for the time being. All 'Cultural Island Group' islands will come under Tikalian protection. All propaganda, be it anti-foreigner, anti-imperialist, pro-SOVSOC, pro-Hawaii or anything else, will cease. All Top Secret or other such information will be turned over to Tikal for scrutiny. Further demands may be added at will. Hawaii will then be reformed into a democratic nation based on US principles. Free elections, observed by Japanese, Tikalian and US-American observers will be held. No party holding SOVSOC, fascist, radical communist or national socialist ideals will be permitted. Afterwards, Hawaii will be monitored by combined Tikalian, US-American and Japanese observers. Hawaii has 48 hours to comply. Failure to comply will result in warfare to remove the Hawaiian government and military forces in order to liberate the Hawaiian peoples from the failures of their rulers." Unlike Tikal which appears willing to cause untold casualties and damage the Philippines has recently concluded talks with Hawaii that have gone a long way to improving relations between our two nations. We find it more worrying how antagonistic Tikal is acting. Whilst we do disagree with Hawaiian moves into South America we do not trust Tikal or anyone else to attempt to take control over the nation of Hawaii. Hereno Posted June 14, 2014 Report Share Posted June 14, 2014 We will cooperate fully with the military of Tikal to remove all Hawaiian presence from the South American continent, if that is truly necessary. We do not appreciate the Hawaiian government's insistence on provoking its geographic neighbors, and we condemn the use of South American peoples in its political games. The Congress of States urges Hawaii to remove itself from Ecuador and Chile voluntarily, and to additionally reflect on the behavior of its government which led to this confrontation. It is too soon after the Taiwanese War to be starting another. France will not endorse any use of a military option against the state of Hawaii unless there is further evidence of deliberately, and extensively destructive behavior is exhibited. The demands issued do not match the crime committed, and France recalls that when they set out to step into America that the response was not half so violent. That having been said. The Government of France also urges the state of Hawaii to cease and desist all activities which are quickly bringing them to the brink of war, including fomenting unrest in regions neighboring their perceived enemies and provoking the Japanese government despite the evidence that Japan has not done anything wrong by the natives of the lands they now control. Though colonialism is a true evil within our world, the sacking of a government, and the threat of national destruction, in response to the claiming of White Zone classed territories goes beyond the pale, and is unreasonable. "Hawaii deployed armed agents to Ecuador and Chile in order to raise armies of guerilla troops. This is a direct violation of Tikal's doctrine of protecting the Americas from foreign imperialism. This is also the second time Hawaii attempted to gain a foothold in the Americas. As said, this is the last straw for us. From South America I could have continued my roleplay after Japan nuked Hawaii, but you wanted to be a dick and cut me off with spyrolls. Mogar was tightening the noose, beginning with his oceanic expansion, and had declared effective blockading and war on my shipping. These were my options: Reinforce Greater Russia Cut off by Japan's insipid oceanic expansion Maintain sovereignty without help At the mercy of Japans nukes, a country which refused to open negotiations channels Maintain sovereignty with US help US refused to help Hawaii unless we surrendered foreign affairs independence and effective sovereignty Engage Japan with a fallback in South America Spyrolled out of that option. Everywhere else in the Pacific within direct range of Hawaii was occupied and patrolled, minus some small atolls that wouldn't survive a bombing. It was an orchestrated checkmate, no point in denying it. I pulled every option I could to stay in the game, and the mods got mad and started a vote to kick me out. Literally had no options left to roleplay as a sovereign nation, all because of retarded game rules, Mogars OOC boner, and deceitful US negotiations. But the fact the US was exercising muscle to twist our arm, along with sneaking certain edits into the treaty, while simultaneously refusing to discipline Japans foreign policy, convinced me the US could not be trusted and that the US was more interested in using the treaty as a foothold for further leverage, than a respectful mutual alliance.
