UNITED OCEANIA (SIMULATION) POST

SITREP

According to intelligence reports, U.O. forces stationed on Wake Island were heavily outnumbered and stood little chance of success against the Eurasian invasion fleet, therefore all surface based assets have been withdrawn to Midway Island. However, to tie up the enemy deployment, three U.O. Los Angelos Class submarines have remained to engage the Eurasian Fleet.

The submarines are currently all within two hundred miles of Wake Island and are seeking to score potential kills against the Eurasian fleet before withdrawing from the area. However, because red force is well equipped for ASW warfare, the submarines must be very careful not to be detected and destroyed.

IMPERIAL EURASIA (SIMULATION)

SITREP

With the blue force withdrawing, all that remains are the three Los Angelos submarines that have remained behind to tie up our fleet. With the island abandoned, we have immediately landed all our Army units on the island. If the submarines attack us, they will be revealed to us and face retaliation by our ASW capable assets which are numerous. So long as we keep our ships arrayed defensively, an successful attack will be unlikely.

To counter the enemy submarine presence, we will immediately deploy all ASW assets attached to the fleet, which should allow us to detect any submarines that near the surface layer within torpedo range of our fleet. We will use our AEGIS and other close defense assets to defeat any guided missile threats. If the submarines do not attack within three days, we will ask the GM to close the wargame and begin our seven day deployment cooldown, and possibly reinforce the island against counter attack.
