While France is deeply embroiled in large scale, devastating conflicts the world over, it seems that the Empress has other things on her mind, as a fresh set of civilian works were just put into effect. Largest among them, the tax system, the infrastructure, and energy supply are all undergoing almost complete overhaul all at the same time, the effects of which should start being seen within the year. The projects are all still in the planning stage, but among the details are a more efficient road system, improved availability of electrical power for vehicles, expanded and renovated nuclear power programs, a tax system that greatly resembles a feudal setup, and the building of a few new bridges over various rivers across France. Of course, all of this is happening alongside renewed defense efforts as weapons manufacture, defensive-architecture, and security concerns are promoted with a gusto not seen since the fall of the Fifth Republic. Whether the programs are planned as contingencies to these structures being destroyed by the war or not is yet to be seen. More news to follow. French Arms Development The new ammunition, code-named "Dante" by leading military figures, has been finished and is now being released into production ahead of schedule, rushed forward in consideration for the recent breakout of conflict between France and Britain. The shells are ostensibly meant for hasty, temporary area-denial in a more efficient and short fashion than minefields can provide. The composition of the shells is not verified by any reliable source at the present time. French Princess Missing The recently divorced Queen of Sverige, Princess Cloe de LaQueu, has gone missing as of yesterday morning, the plane carrying her back to France having fallen off the radar somewhere in the North Atlantic, last reported to be flying over Prussian airspace before going dark. The plane has not been spotted since then and worries are high among French royalty, as well as the public. The French Secret Service is initiating an immediate inquiry on the situation and the whereabouts of the aircraft. Shave N Haircut Posted October 12, 2014 Author Report Share Posted October 12, 2014 Rafale Rights Revoked Dassault Avionics has been issued an order from the French government to cease and desist export of replacement parts and whole units of the Rafale, reports indicate this week. All nations not having procured a specific defense contract with France and the company itself will no longer have access to the aircraft. Nations who already possess them are essentially limited to the lifespan of the aircraft's parts. Similar orders have been given to all other areas of the French defense industry, meaning that most notably the LeClerc, FAMAS, and Mirage 2000 are all off limits as well to those without permission. Shave N Haircut Posted November 10, 2014 Author Report Share Posted November 10, 2014 (edited) French Navy on the Move The French Navy in Europe has moved to block off access to the British Isles to anyone they do not approve, and it is being demanded that all Carthaginian activity near the Isles cease and that their military apparatus withdraw post-haste. No response has been made regarding Alvonian movements except that a French Corps has assented to their request for assistance in the Northlands. Shave N Haircut Posted December 22, 2014 Author Report Share Posted December 22, 2014 French Military MovementsThe French Military is rotating which corps are stationed where, the Pyrenees stations being switched out for more green units so that they might get the experience of being in slightly substandard conditions, as well as the two corps of the Pacific theatre being cycled so that they may have some time off from the islands, beaches, and mild climate.
