Shave N Haircut
L'Empire Occupies Borders The French Empire today moved troops across the border of Alsacs-Lorraine into German territory in order to secure the crossing and ensure that there was no chance of the chaos now engulfing the nation from carrying over into French territory. The borderlands which have been occupied are 80 kilometers out from the French border, including the cities of Freiburg and Heidelburg. French troops have fired no shots at anything during the occupation thusfar, and are now fortifying positions to ensure that the nation of France remains safe through the disaster that is the collapse of Germany. Statements from her Imperial Highness are that as soon as things have settled within the nation, as they appear to be doing with the further occupation by Alvonia and the Northlands, that they will as well hold elections on the fate of the territory in their control, and that the sudden, disastrous collapse of a nation in such close proximity is a shock and discouraging to all who have seen it. No generals have been reached for comment. The number of troops within the borderlands have been determined to be several divisions of combined arms, but it is unknown how many troops France has held in reserve in the case of an incident. Shave N Haircut
Swiss Occupation French Forces have been diverted from the border territories of Germany to sweep through the French-Majority-Speaking portions of Switzerland in order to defend the rights of the people therein from any possible encroachment, and to bring them into the Greater French Empire as equal members. It is unknown the consequences of this move in the International community, but within France it is being viewed with some more legitimacy than the occupation of German territories. Shave N Haircut
French Naval movement Two French Naval task-forces have departed from France today with a division of troops apiece, one from the port at Brest and the other from Marseilles, their destinations are unknown but the one heads directly due West an the other has turned towards the Inner Mediterranean, apparently towards the Suez canal. The purposes of these task-forces is being withheld by senior military corespondents, but they are not large enough to seriously threaten any of the major resurgent powers. Shave N Haircut
Fleet passes through the Suez The French navy has messaged ahead to all it may concern that they mean to pass through the Suez Canal instead of any of the other speculated options that the Mediterranean fleet may have taken. In particular, the Babylonian Empire has been messaged a guarantee of safety while the rather large battlefleet passes through on its way to the Indian Ocean. Horo the Wise Wolf
The Empire of North China denounces France for their imperialist and damaging move to annex parts of Switzerland - once a bastion of neutrality and peace, China fears for how the French will use their newly conquered lands, as they have already shown themselves to have hostile and damaging intentions. Shave N Haircut
North Chinese Denunciation The Government of France has released an official response to the denunciation of North China, which, in spite of the heated words of the Chinese government, shows rather alarming restraint and civility. It can be read below. The Government of France only acts in the defense of the civilians in the occupied areas. We do not wish for them to be made victims of laws unfavorable to them from the Italian government, though we do not believe the Italians would intentionally do anything to harm the generally French speaking areas of Switzerland. Peace will still be maintained in the region of Switzerland now annexed, despite the worries of the Chinese state. France has brought order to the chaos of competing regional governments. The hostile and damaging intentions that the Chinese government speaks of are nonexistent. Quebec The French government has landed troops in Quebec, limited resistance by outlaws being put down by the Division's worth of troops which have begun to occupy the area, having been landed in Quebec City and Montreal. They have largely been met with open arms, welcome after the anarchy of years previous and the failure of several governments to be set up successfully. Regardless, the French Imperial flag flies over the government buildings in both major cities. Franco-Japanese Mutual Defense France and Japan have entered into a highly binding treaty of mutual defense and an all encompassing free trade treaty. The exact details of the treaty remain a secret, but it does involve a certain military cooperation.

Evangeline Anovilis
Classified As the French fleet entered the Asia-Pacific region, it would secretly be tailed by four Type 093 attack submarines, which would keep a low profile, but always stay ready to act. The French had already shown elsewhere their dubious behaviour, China hardly trusted them to be much different in Asia.
Shave N Haircut
New Caledonia French Naval Vessels have landed troops in New Caledonia, who were met with open arms by the populace, long separated from their benefactors in Europe. Though their attitude has chilled somewhat on the subject of Imperialism, many fondly remember the days where France reigned kindly over the small set of islands. The troops are being greeted cordially and the occupation is going without a hitch.
New Caledonia held a referendum on independance once. It was shot down by vast majority. I'm assuming that this attitude has prevailed since then.
