Increasing movements by Persia led to growing concerns of a potential strike against the Imperium, Pacific holdings were reinforced and on high alert, with Fortress Sumatra continuing to receive additional supplies. sub-oceanic torpedo mounts were brought online all along the MEZ, with war on the tips of everyone's tongues the decision was made to completely close the zone. Beacons would be set up, alerting upon all normal radio communication wavelengths of the chance in policy and thousands of MK65 Quickstrike would be deployed in the narrow Straits of the MEZ. The Manchurian bases would be placed upon high alert along with the rest of the Imperium, with total numbers of forces now 135,000 army, along with 20,000 marines, and enough vehicles to ensure they are all mechanized or armored divisions, the OTH-B and OTH-SW systems would be kept monitored heavily, with even the slightest disturbance being watched carefully. With war unlikely to end any time soon, the decision was made to purchase the arms factories within the former United States of Mexico and begin pumping out missiles to provide assistance for the Plains Federation and Tikal war efforts, additionally, technological information would be transferred to Plains Federation of the latest missile designs to ensure they were able to use the same weapons the Imperium used.

Facilities originally designed to develop riceblast in secret would be modified to instead produce at least 1,000 tons of BX a month, for the foreseeable future, the forty original facilities would be expanded, and an additional twenty would be organized in the "new" regions of the Imperium, ensuring no singular strike can remove the Imperium's ability to wage war.

Efforts to expand upon the underground biological and chemical facilities continued, with new factories coming online daily, Singapore's largest export was now biological weapons, using the Umbrella Corporation as a front for the government's work, Stock in the company jumped 10% over the next week.

Other improvements were made to the Imperium's Northern and Western border defense, due to the threat the Mongolians presented, with their modern technology, the Imperium had to adapt.

 

High mobility SAM systems were authorized, 9K317 Buk-M2 and S-125-2D Pechora, FT-2000 SAM systems, S-400 systems, along with Pantsir-S1 systems mounted on both tank and traditional truck platforms, were selected to be integrated within the Imperium's IADS. LPI techniques would also be employed within the IADS.

 

L-band and VHF-band radars were constructed, ensuring stealth shaping would be less of a threat. NCTR and STAP techniques would also be employed.

 

RF emitting decoys integrated with radar systems to synchronize their emissions., and inflatable TEL decoys would be set up all along the expansive border, ensuring difficulty in finding the real ones, with an erratic schedule of movements to ensure SATINT and surveillance would find difficulty in actually locating the real ones.

 

SA-15 and SA-22 designed have been optimized and equipped with agile beam phased array engagement radars designed to concurrently track many targets and engage same with missiles.

 

DF-21D missile silos were emplaced across Imperium's holdings, ensuring no first strike would be able to damage enough of them to remove the Imperium's ability to sink whomever decided to attack East Asia within her waters. more batteries of LiaoSho missiles, and SSM-700K Haeseongs were also constructed in embedded locations, while not as long range, they would make the waters surrounding Japan secure.

 

The bunker complex within the Imperium's cities has continued, the final intention to allow 80% of the Imperium's population to live within five minutes of a nuclear bunker. Additionally, an underground rail system for the home islands has begun construction, to allow for transport of munitions, soldiers, or civilians from the various bunkers to other locations within the home island, and ensuring even with air superiority over the home islands lost, there is still a transport capability available for defense

With Shanghai collapsing, it fell to the Imperium to maintain order along the coastline of Shanghai, the inner regions were of less importance, and with the Imperium's proximity and close relations with Shanghai, the lack of governance was noticed near immediately, with marines landing and the army moving in, it was hoped that the transition would be peaceful, but as the Mongolians were also moving into the region, it was certainly up for debate exactly how peaceful it would be. Drone surveillance would be maintained along the borders, but the Imperium would not be the ones to fire the first shot.

OOC: this post is written under the assumption that the war in Europe and all related RP is indeed being wiped. Should that not prove the case, this post will be changed to accommodate the fact that the two nations involved are at war.

The Confederacy's OTH-B radar and satellites did not fail to notice Japanese ships approaching the coast of Shanghai, any more than the RQ-4 and AWACS patrols over the region that had begun flying over the region after it was determined it would need to be protected failed to notice Japanese drones being dispatched to the region or troops being offloaded into it. Given Japan was essentially invading a protectorate territory of the Confederacy, Khün felt it terribly benevolent of her that she did not immediately declare the onset of hostilities, though if the Japanese were determined to proceed with their invasion, she had little intent of hesitating to do just that. Instead, she had the First Army of Army Group Inner Mongolia mobilised, in order to bulwark divisions that had already moved in alongside civil personnel to secure the region, along with aircraft from the nearby airbase at Xilingol.
