OOC- This nation can be recognized or not, I do not care. I will not recognize attacks that have not been agreed upon by me in advance. Wars and rp should be collaborative. If you want to play with me, the following are the rules.

1) RP is discussed in advance.
2) Using OOC logs and conversations to justify IC actions, not allowed.
3) The rp desired is long term rp, don't bother me with your whining about needing a cheap thrill. If you want a war, we can do something, but only after the rp is put into place to justify a build up to war.
4) War posts will be very clearly written using technology we've both agreed upon, likewise so will character combat posts. All fights must start with the exact equipment, units, and locations of the units being stated.
5) RPing a character in Argentina is permitted so long as you aren't burning down entire cities or controlling my citizens.

After the fall of the regional government in Buenos Aires, a young man would emerge as the next leader of the country and to lead the native peoples to freedom and a prosperous future. His excellency Roberto Mendoza would be coronated as the King of Argentina along with his wife Queen Catherine Mendoza. He would make the following address,

"My dear people,

The time has come to be led by a leader who cares about his people, by someone who is willing to sacrifice everything to ensure the safety and stability of his country. I will work with you to rebuild our great country and to make it the best and brightest in the world."

"Uruguay welcomes our new neighbors."

classified

The Western People's Militia are put on alert and ordered to keep their eyes on the Uruguayan/Argentina border. They quickly stop their daily toils and gather up their .303 Bolt action rifles, Vickers .303 machine guns, and Stokes Mortars as they begin patrolling the border. They are joined by four of the sixty total planes in the newly formed Uruguayan Army Air Force. These four hearty biplanes churn their way up and down the border relaying messages to militia units on the ground by semaphore, hand flags, and occasionally landing on roads to report in person.

**note- Militia units are not right on the border in force, only small patrols of five to six men can be seen. They are within two miles of the border in strength in local groups of 100 men in their own communities.

Diplomatically speaking the Uruguayan governemtn is understandably nervous at the revived government of Argentina given the four war that Uruguay fought in the previous century. None the less, the exciting prospect of having a new neighbor can't be ignored. Rather than move quickly, President Montessori extends his personal congratulations to the President of Argentina.

Kingdom of Argentina

Royal Decree

Executive authority is vested in the king and his cabinet. The king signs, executes, and vetoes all laws. The king may also suspend or dissolve parliament, and shorten or lengthen the term of session. A veto by the king may be overridden by a two-thirds vote of both houses of parliament at his discretion. He appoints and may dismiss all judges by decree, approves amendments to the constitution, declares war, and commands the armed forces. Council of State decisions, court judgments, and the national currency are issued in his name. The Cabinet, led by a Chancellor, is formerly appointed by the king. The Council of State is responsible to the Royal Parliament on matters of general policy and can be forced to resign by a two-thirds vote of "no confidence".

Legislative power rests in the unicameral National Parliament. The National Parliament has 250 members (Representatives), elected for a four-year terms in single-seat constituencies. While the National Parliament is elected by the people, its main legislative abilities are limited to approving, rejecting, or amending legislation with little power to initiate laws. Any member of Parliament can be removed by a "vote of no confidence".

The judiciary is completely independent from the other two branches of the government. The constitution provides for two categories of courts—civil (in this case meaning "regular") and special. Regular courts consist of both civil and criminal varieties at the first level—First Instance or Conciliation Courts, second level—Appelette or Appeals Courts, and the Cassation Court which is the highest judicial authority in the kingdom.

His royal majesty, King Roberto Mendoza has announced that the following individuals will serve in the Council of State.

  • Chancellor: Prince Vincente Mendoza
  • Minister of Defense: Prince Chavez Mendoza
  • Minister of Foreign Affairs: Prince Hernando Mendoza
  • Minister of Internal Affairs: Dr. Chrisanna Velazquez
  • Minister of Security: Dr. Rosalia Basco
  • Minister of Finance: Dr. Florinio Bueno
  • Minister of Economic Development: Dr. Olivia Cardozo

Administratively, Argentina is divided into 22 governorates, each headed by a governor appointed by the king. They are the sole authorities for all government departments and development projects in their respective areas:

  • Autonomous City of Buenos Aires
  • Buenos Aires
  • Catamarca
  • Chaco
  • Chubut
  • Córdoba
  • Corrientes
  • Entre Ríos

  • La Pampa

The Royal First and Second Fleets have been recalled early from their exercises and will be undergoing Naval Fleet Complement reconfiguration. The new naval complement of vessels will allow the Kingdom to primarily defend itself in the open seas as well as project its power at the discretion of the King. Once such changes have occurred, the Royal First Fleet, Royal Submarine Group, and Littoral Squadron Alpha will conduct regular patrols in their respective regions. These patrols are defensive in nature.
