Side effect of war details is that it can provide WC info, not sure if intended or not.

if intended please dont bring this to TE

edit: to elaborate, the money changing hands provides warchest info, specifically it indicates when one nation is almost broke. While I admit this happens less often in SE than TE, in TE this is the kind of thing that should at least cost you a spy op to figure out if you're the general public.

I don't see it  as a major issue.

If the nation is broke then it doesn't matter too much if everyone knows.

I don't get out of PM until tomorrow so I had to go check another war to see if this was actually implemented. Thought there was no way Admin would be so careless; but I was wrong.

Nations who encounter a low WC via battle reports will normally pass that info on to their alliance anyway, so it's not as if that would remain a secret for long.

When you have Nation A in alliance A at war in Nation B in alliance B, the battle reports should not be read by nation C in alliance C who may decide to use that to his or her advantage

it is my belief that the mods did not realize the effect and had no intention to make this mistake. I'm sure it will be corrected, somehow.

The war details screen is great.  Please do not change.  As far as warchest info being figured out via caluclation from money lost/stolen, every alliance gathers intel and if somebody outside that alliance wants to know they can just message and ask.  I've messaged a dozen different AA's during this war to ask what the warchest info is on certain nation they are fighting and every one of them have replied back with the answer.

I like the war details screen because it is very intriguing and definitely beats the option of having to check my battle reports and such in the Sent Message category and find out they are gone because opponents deleted them. I can see your concerns about war chest info via looting, though, the chances are opponents will alert their alliances to concentrate on you more.

You guys appear to be missing my point where third parties who are not at war and who probably have no reason to know warchests are being granted this information. Once again, this is more relevant for TE, where there are less treaty webs (although the most recent rounds are reversing this trend and opportunistic raiding is more common zz )

I've set the war logs to be private between the attacker and the defender.

That's too bad.  It's been fun reading through different wars and seeing the silly attacks.

I think a more interesting tweak would have been to allow only members of the participating alliances at war to see the logs. A kind of middle ground.
