"Good Morning!

I would like to welcome everyone to the 1st "Role of Indigenous People in Today's Society" Conference here at the National Cultural Center. We have some very important guests that will be speaking over the course of the conference, for example, Vice President Melosa Navar, Bolivian President Robles, and national and local indigenous leaders.

This forum is meant to be a platform for both government officials and the indigenous population to come together to discuss the issues facing each other and how to work together as one community, one nation, one world.

Without further ado please welcome Vice President Melosa Navar!"

Thank you madam administrator for your kind remarks, thank you everyone for coming.

There are many important items on the agenda for the upcoming Meeting on Indigenous Issues. The implementation of education, healthcare and culture reform is imperative and of the utmost importance to my administration. My hope is that this will continue to produce cooperation and understanding between the government and the indigenous people, the forum’s important role addressing a number of issues related to social and economic development. If we look at health, the statistics are very, very high against us and it has been agreed to those indigenous peoples are the most marginalized in this country and the most vulnerable. Whether suffering from malnutrition or poverty, the list goes on and on, these statistics basically are the same in developing and developed parts of the country.

Education, the statistics are the same. The government needs to provide situations where education as a human right, is available to indigenous peoples. Education is important but including our life ways and our languages must be attached to that as well.

The vital role of culture and is needed for it to be part of the domestic policies of the government. When I think of culture I think of being in a room with 2,000 indigenous peoples all speaking different languages. But when we are together, in our meetings, we are speaking one language. Our relationship to mother Earth and to Paraguay is identical throughout indigenous communities.

When we discussed the development agenda beyond 20XX and some of the most important priorities, I emphasized the issue of poverty. Poverty is the overarching theme if you will, that affects indigenous peoples when it comes to health, education, our youth, our women. It affects everything across the board. There is a need for an inclusive process, ensuring indigenous peoples participation.

Development in indigenous communities must be applied with the right intention in mind, the development, poverty and its effect on all indigenous peoples within different regions. It must be applied, seriously, not only on a local, national, but international level. Playing a crucial part in world matters is today’s youth. we have seen indigenous youth take on a very strong role and make very strong statement. This world is going to be left to them, they are our future leaders, so our responsibility is to mentor those future leaders, and to bring them into the discussions. And that’s not just for indigenous youth, that’s for all youth throughout the country. As we say from the community that I’m from, when our leaders sit in deliberation, when they are in counsel, their decisions are going to be made with the 6th generation in mind. So that we don’t stick with a quick fix, or something that will only last for 5 years. No it must be until that sixth generation has arrived. The country needs to be intact for them when they arrive and are here to take on the challenges of this world.

Thank you! And God Bless Us All!

- Vice President Melosa Navar

"Gladly, thank you. Good Morning to you all I am President Miguel Gonzado Robles of United Bolivia. I came here to talk to you about poverty, industry, and progress.

In United Bolivia, My people face 69% poverty and 18% extreme poverty.. There are areas in United Bolivia which make 0-1229 Bolivian Dollars a year. That is as you can assume an area of extreme poverty. When I came to office I made a promise to myself to abolish poverty by the end of my term and if I hadn't I wouldn't run again. Now I made several reforms all within the first few weeks of United Bolivia gaining status as a Country. My first measure was to create mines, these mines would deal with tin, Iron, Zinc, Gold, Tungsten, Silver etc. Altogether, the mines created about ~27,000 jobs.

I then proceeded to make extractors and refineries, to turn our raw materials into processed precious metals, these extractors and refineries brought approximately 15,000 extra jobs. These jobs would firstly be provided to those in extreme poverty, and then those in poverty to insure we can build a stable caste. In our bill of rights I pushed for free k-college mandatory schooling and if all things turn out God-willing will improve our national literacy to 94.86% on average. I'm pushing for health care reforms to make sure every man, woman, and child can go into a hospital and receive the care that they need. My latest and greatest movements were to create the Social Security System in United Bolivia and the United Bolivian Stock Market(UBSM.) With these two marvels I expect that we can both raise our GDP from 23.95 Billion to nearly double its current point. The numbers are showing my ideas' ingenuity as we have taken our 86% poverty and dashed it down to 23.8%.

I believe if we as an International movement take steps to create new jobs, promote industry and westernization we can abolish poverty together. We can make sure that our 6th generation are the brightest young ones who will make a difference for the world and not just our own countries. I believe that if we start today together we can cement our culture and our places in South America, through Industry, Progress, and Economic reforms. Thank you."

At this time we will now take questions.

President Robles, how do you feel about the LCRL especially since their occupied territory is so close to your southern border?
- Student

Vice President Navar, what is the government doing to protect the indigenous people's farmlands?

"In reply to the LCRL activity, we currently cannot issue any direct statement as to how we will respond. But, should your good country need any assistance. United Bolivia will do what it can to insure the stability of Paraguay. However should the LCRL move into United Bolivian territory they will be detained immediately, and measures will be made to end the movement in its entirety."

The government is currently having discussions with state officials to allow the Environmental Protection Administration conduct a full investigation and allow them to recommend the best course of action.

The LCRL is growing, estimated 3,000 strong, and has occupied the west-northern part of the State of San Miguel. They are heavily armed and have possibly infiltrated the state government. Make sure to read the "Real International Press" to stay up to date.

"Thank you for your worry. You're not alone."

President Robles called his security outfit up, as sixty uniformed guards moved to protect their President. Armed with UB-1's and bullet-proof vests, they escorted the President out to his convoy as it pulled off towards Villamontes, United Bolivia.
